He kissed her hand, and then stood up. He was winning her over already, despite her initial reaction. "Do you mind if I sit down?" he asked, his accent think and Russian. He was slightly old-fashioned in manners, although when he spoke with friends you'd never know it. "I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't really know anyone, yet." he added.

ShtrDrNGry Y-you're not i-interrupting anyth-thing...Tanaka sighed and shook his head, giving up trying to fight his words further. If y-you'd like to go, I-i can't make y-you stay. He was visibly flustered by the time he finished that sentence, and he shifted uncomfortably, shifting his hands into his pockets to keep from flailing and running away.

Ronnie sat down, still smiling. "A change of scenery, and a letter from a friend named Marni." Ronnie replied. "He's about the only one I know in this place, right about now. Other than you, of course."
Yes, the sweet-talking young Russian boy had, in fact, been corresponding with Marni over the last few years. When Ronnie had mentioned wishing he could move, Marni had suggested he come here. Ronnie agreed, but only because he trusted Marni.
"What brings you here?" He asked, looking into her eyes.

Her spine was iron straight, her hands demurely folded; she remembered advice from her mother- lower you eyelashes, just so, and dart glances from underneath them. She did so, turning her head so she could study him from the corner of her eyes.

E-everyone is a s-stranger until y-you try to get to know th-them, he tried to offer to Keiko, wanting to let his voice slip back into the language he was more comfortable speaking, the language of the high Light gods. I-I apologize th-that my speech isn't a-all that fantast-tic...English isn't m-my first language.

English isn't my first language either, the woman smiled. But I can speak it just as well as my first. Keiko took a step closer to the boy. As long as I can understand what you're saying, I don't mind how you talk, she assured him. So if you don't mind me asking, what in particular were you... pondering?

With a soft sigh and a prayer to the Great Goddess that the woman would be able to understand him, Tanaka let his words fall into the language he spoke primarily as he offered that he was just reflecting on his father's well-wishing about this new place, and hoping neither parent would be too upset should he want to go back home sooner than planned. He paused a moment and bit his lip, tilting his head slighlty as he waited for Keiko to show signs of understanding his words or not.

The woman stared blankly at Tanaka for a moment, and then nodded slowly. Okay then, she said, a smile forming her lips. I believe you...? Keiko took another step closer and patted the side of his face almost lovingly. I didn't quite gather what you said, but I probably shouldn't be getting into your business to begin with.

Beverly smiled softly, tilting her head. I'm sure you are good at other things as well, everyone is good at something, sometimes a lot of somethings, she said. When it comes to instruments maybe you are only good at the flute, but I am sure you're good at doing many things. You've already showed me you're good at being beautiful, but that seems to be a natural talent... she said with a small giggle, blushing softly, but paying no attention to it.

Tanaka frowned and brushed his hands over his coat to smooth out imaginary wrinkles before giving another shot at english for Keiko. It's not a problem...I'm j-just shy. He swallowed hard and averted his gaze, wanting to explain to the girl that he was actually glad to have someone take interest or show concern for him, as if she'd shunned him he probably would have retreated back to his home realm.

It's quite alright, the woman smiled. Sometimes it's better to be shy. You never know what sort of person you're dealing with. Keiko laughed softly and looked about. So until you know more of the person you're speaking with, it might be best to remain a little shy. Of course, I'm not saying I'm a bad person and can't be trusted... She grinned and patted his shoulder.

A-are you? Tanaka managed to choke as he gazed wide-eyed at the woman. She looked innocent enough, but was that how she truely was? If here words were true, he wasn't going to like this place very much...

Am I what? she laughed. A bad person? Heaven's no. Keiko covered her mouth as she continued to laugh softly. If I was a bad person, I wouldn't be a medical professional. The woman gave a nod, her laughter dying down. There's nothing to worry about in regards to me. Other people though, I'm not so sure. There are both good and evil in this world, regardless of the realm you're in.
