I did a Jazz band in a camp that has a bunch of different classes. It was amazing. We got recordings of what we played.

I play Alto, soprano, tenor and Bari. But that's only because they are the same fingerings. 4laugh I once marched with the Bari..... Once. xd

Looking at the poll at the top of the page, I am disappointed. Can I recommend that everyone use Vandoren reeds for classical or jazz style playing? Please? My experience is that Rico reeds are high quality... If you're building a bonfire, that is wink

And I love playing jazz, but I love playing all music...so I can never decide. xd

Hi everyone. I just rented an Alto Sax today and haven't started lessons yet. Any advice? I've played Bb Clarinet for around a year, and Flute for about 5 months.

okie_dokie12321 Can i get a huzzah for saxophones!? HUZZAH!
Naiyuga: Some of the fingerings on the saxophone are similar to flute and clarinet. 3nodding Other advice...I can't think of anything. xd Just get a good neckstrap. When you start on a bad one, it hurts a lot. D:

If you start on a #4, you might not get a good vibration. (lol) I alos recommend a good neckstrap, try to get one with padding as they dont hurt as much. Good luck, it's not as hard as it seems. biggrin

Does anyone know about the sax brand Antigua Winds? I'm thinking of buying a soprano or tenor of that brand...
