Practically the entire group of survivors raised their hands, aside from a few children who were to young to know much about him.

"I see." The Gray Baron said, looking at the hands.
"I'm sure you have no end of animosity towards me for what has transpired here today. And I'm sure there are a few here who would wish nothing more than to clock me right in the fact." he said, leaning on his cane.
"Rest assured, times are going to change here...This colony will be rebuilt, fitted with defenses, and stand under the protection of the Barons and KAVA..."

Cai nodded. Drones were buzzing around the people. Most were providing medical help. Stitching wounds and such. Others were talking to children, Cai's voice came from each one separately.

Gil then walked over to where the Gray Baron was, the survivors watching. They all knew Gil, and knew his position with KAVA.
"...Then on behalf of KAVA, I recognize the alliance of Side 8 with KAVA forces." he said, holding out his hand.
The Gray Baron just let out a chuckle, accepting the hand.
"Even if it's a formality, I'll make sure this place is rebuilt so that your father and family rest in peace."

"So are you gonna stick around now?" Harold asked, the gang of other orphans behind him as he tugged on Gil's shirt. "It'd be nice to hve you back.."
Demi looked like she was about to start balling at the sight... Such a softy...

Demi couldn't take it anymore... She was already beginning to cry.
