Sohki nodded and gave a simple command. "Descend!" Quickly he tucked his wings close to his body and became a living missile as he propelled downward at a blinding pace. His plan so far was to cut them off at the edge of the forest. If they made it into the woods their mission would take much longer to complete.
"Finally some action," Kylar did much the same making his wings streamline with his body. In a quick descent he was right behind their leader.
Durzo didn't know how he felt about plummeting to the ground. His large mass would surely take him off course and just drop him into the forest. Shaking his head he still followed the order to descend but did it much more slowly as he headed for the forest. If their 'visitors' made it passed his comrades he would be waiting for them.
(( Should we roll a dice to see if they make it into the forest or not? ))

"We're being dive-bombed." Atticus automatically said as he saw the dragons descending at an alarming rate. "I don't know about the rest of you, but I've never seen a welcoming party greet visitors by charging up to them with..." He paused and squinted, though it wouldn't stay hard to see for long. "Weapons? Yes, weapons." It sounded more like a joke the way he said it. That was Atticus, though.
Riyo cringed in frustration over the situation as a whole. "I just got done being a prisoner. I don't want to do it again." That is, if they took prisoners. Her eyes glanced back and fourth from the forest and incoming hostiles. If they did make this, it would be close.

Blade Kuroda rolled 1 20-sided dice:

((11 and above = made it to the forest))
"Got that right," mumbled Blade in response to Riyo. Being taken captive was never something he enjoyed. So he tried to usher the horses to go faster. Hopefully the beasts would be able to keep it up.
---
"They're picking up speed," hissed Branka before quickly tucking in her wings to dive down at the group. It wasn't long at all before she was coming down with the boys to try and cut off the visitors. The ground was quickly coming up as she swooped down before the lot.
"HALT!!!"
---
Cursing rather loudly as one of the dragons had swooped right in front of them, Blade pulled back on the reins to veer the horses off to the side. It didn't take that much, considering having a freaking dragon fly right before them caused the beasts to panic and stumble somewhat. It was not a very smooth ride for those aboard.

Sohki approached the ground quickly but still gave himself an ample amount of time to extend his wings to soften his landing. The roaring thud of the landing was damped by the shifting sand but he seemed mostly unfazed as he rose to full height and stared down at the 'visitors' with gleaming golden eyes. After a short moment of allowing the hooved beasts to calm themselves somewhat, Sohki spoke to the intruders but it was in a language from long long ago.
"What is you're business here?" The dragon barked, his wings finally settling to rest at his back.
Kylar, being the daring one, waited for the last possible second to prevent a crash landing. Once he was impossibly close his wings snapped open and he dropped to the ground in a kneeling position. A wicked grin crossed his face as he looked up...at least until he realized his feet were lodged deep within the sand preventing him from standing. As Sohki approached the travelers, Kylar looked to Branka pleadingly. "Help?"
"I'm sure they didn't come to dive-boom us with gifts," Neko shot back at Atticus. He didn't get a chance to say much else as the wagon began to shake from the panicking horses.
As the wagon was thrust from side to side, Mitsu was thrown down on the deck and stayed there until the movement began to settle. Just barely she heard one of the creature's speak, but couldn't understand it. "What did it say?" She asked quietly, her hands covering her head as if waiting for an explosion.
((I figure the dragons will know many languages but will always first speak in the language they are used too. If that's too much I can always alter my post. I just thought once they heard the traveler's speak they would know what to speak themselves.))

Branka was just about to try and put up an intimidating front but Kylar getting stuck in the sand made that a little difficult. Rolling her eyes, she walked over towards him and tried to pull him free from the desert.
As the horses freaked out, Blade hopped off the wagon to try and calm them down. It doesn't doing much help, but at least they currently weren't able to run off. Then, hearing one of the dragons speak, he turned towards the guy but couldn't understand him. Either the dragon spoke in a different language or he just didn't hear him clearly over the sounds of the scared horses.
"Could you repeat that please?" he asked with a frown. The thief took note that they were fairly well armed, so he'd have to be careful with his wording.

As the wagon rocked, Riyo's hands grabbed for something to stabilize her before she tumbled back like Mitsu. Unfortunately, they could only find Atticus, and both of them went tumbling back instead. They ended up a few feet in front of Mitsu, stacked like Jenga pieces.
"Atticus." Riyo began, her face flat on the ground. "You need to eat more or something."
Atticus sat up and shook his head. He would have taken the opportunity to tell her she needs to eat less, but she did break his fall. So maybe he'd let this one go.
His eyes instead returned to the conflict right in front of them. "Great. They speak a different language." Can't say he hadn't been in a similar predicament before, only his previous experiences with people who had a different language affiliation didn't have deadly weapons or talons that could rip you in half. "Just our luck."
Riyo lifted her face off the floor to see what was happening. Those dragons didn't look like they wanted to chat... They looked like they were ready to take no prisoners.

Sohki heard the intruder.....'visitor' by the horses speak and let his mind step back up a moment to place the language. English. Clearing his throat he tried again, this time in a language they would understand. "State your business here." It had a bit of an odd accent to it, but at least it was clearly spoken.
Finally free of the sand Kylar stood to his feet and dusted his pants off. "Thanks Bran." He said softly so the travelers wouldn't hear. Taking up his weapon he moved to stand beside Sohki silently wondering where the big guy was.
Neko was quick to jump out of the wagon as well to help calm the horses. It would do them no good if the horses broke free and went running off to who knows where. Silently he listened allowing Blade to speak with them first trying to place the odd language the dragon man spoke. It was something he had never heard before.

Nodding in reply to Kylar, Branka began to move to join Sohki as well. She too noticed that they were missing one of their members and quickly glanced up and around to see where Durzo might be. The three of them may have just dove too quickly for the big guy.
The equines were still rather skittish but they weren't panicking as much now, making them easier to deal with. And with Neko to help him calm down the horses, Blade turned his attention more towards the dragons. This time he was able to understand the dragon.
"We're seeking refuge," he replied simply and calmly, "Not long ago some slave traders managed to capture us, but we've managed to break away. I apologize if we're intruding on something but we mean no harm."
He wasn't entirely certain how to feel at the moment, facing true dragons for the first time.

When Neko had found what food their captors had left in the wagon, Hitsu eagerly reached out for the jar of pears. She had full intentions of taking just one, but after the first two more followed. "So good..." Hitsu had said to herself quietly before finally replacing the lid to the jar and setting them aside. Hopefully they would be somewhere soon, where they could have a real and filling meal. Surely their stomachs were beginning to shrink. Hitsu tried to recall if she had even had a full stomach since the day before they fled the village... It seemed that every meal since the night they met Mitsu had been cut short some way or another.
Not long after Atticus had been offering 'cooling' pills; which Hitsu declined, since she didn't want to take one if others needed them worse than she; Blade had mentioned something up front about being close to something? Something other than barren desert? Oh, how she hoped so. To sleep in a bed again... It felt like years since their last inn stay, especially after sleeping in that cage.
What happened in the end, Hitsu hadn't expected. Hostiles? She remained in her spot in the back of the wagon, not daring to come out unless she was told to. She really didn't feel like more trouble... Was something else about to go horribly wrong?
When the wagon had violently come to a halt, Yuki was startled awake. Eyes wide, he jerked his head up and quickly tried to catch himself before he hit the floor. Checking to be sure Hitsu was fine; confirmed when he saw her sitting up next to him; Yuki moved toward the front of the wagon to peer out and see what was going on.
He hadn't expected to see Blade and Neko speaking to dragons.
Yuki didn't say a word, only looked from each one with an expression of clear shock. Dragons...
He actually missed the slave traders now.

Sohki looked at the human for a moment, his golden eyes focusing in on this stranger's crimson one's. The man seemed sincere in his words and with that Sohki was left with little choice. Slowly he sheathed his weapon eying each individual in turn. None seemed hostile, at least at the moment, but there were a couple that he had doubts about. "You sound true to your word." Sohki nodded at Blade pulling his hand away from his sword to show that he too meant no harm.
"Aww this is no fun," Kylar complained in the language of their kin. "The Elder wouldn't have know if we had gotten them to fight."
"Silence!" Sohki barked in the same language, his voice touched by a sound of anger no human vocal cords could make. "There is no honor in provoking a fight. We do as the Elder wishes, we'll take them back." Turning back to the group he slipped back into English. "I apologize if we have...alarmed?...startled?....Frightened you." He seemed to settled on the last word, though they all meant the same thing the last seemed more appropriate. "We do not get many visitors that are not out to gain something for themselves that will not gravely effect someone else in return. If you are sincere in your words, we would like to guide you to the palace." Sohki did his best to keep the disgust from his face and his voice. At the moment his expression was neutral. "There is food, drink, bathes, beds, and a change of clothes if needed."
Neko looked very uncertain as the leader, at least he was sure he was the leader, began to yell at his subordinate. He didn't like not being able to understand their conversation that was no doubt about them. As the dragon apologized Neko couldn't help but glance at the guy who had just been yelled at. There was a sneer on his face as he swung his weapon one more time before wrapping the chain around his waist and securing it there.
To be honest, Neko didn't trust them, but what choice did they have? Go with them to where there was a chance there was food, water, and all the other nice things they mentioned...or back into the desert in search of their forest which could be who knows how far. Looking to Blade, Neko only gave a short nod before he looked back up at the carriage to see that Yuki was awake. "Welcome back to the land of the living."

Thankfully, the lead dragon sheathed his weapon and took on a less hostile stance. That was a good sign for them. Though, with the quick bit of banter between the dragons, Blade wished he was able to understand what was being said. As it was, there was no telling what went on between them but the lead soon went back into English.
"That's understandable," he replied with a nod. The thief couldn't tell exactly how welcomed they would be, judging the rather displeased looks of the other dragons with their leader. People in general, are rather distrusting of outsiders, especially of those outside of a particular race. And he had a feeling his hint of draconic lineage wouldn't get him much slack at all.
However, it would certainly be better to have shelter than to be stranded in the desert for who knows how long. After exchanging nods with Neko, he turned his attention back towards the dragons.
"We mean no harm, and would be grateful if you could guide us," he repeated.
Branka wasn't entirely enthused with the way things went down either. Lowly, she hissed something along the lines of 'I don't blame you' towards Kylar in draconic, hoping that their captain hadn't heard.

Riyo had been holding her breath as they waited for a response from the dragon. She didn't want to fight. She was hot (significantly less with Atticus's pill, but still uncomfortable), and she just... Didn't have the fight in her.
She'd quietly been searching herself to see if she could muster something to defend them should the dragons attack, but there was nothing. She was empty. Completely empty. Like this desert's lack of water, she had no power, and it scared her. Riyo was about as defenseless as a turtle lacking a shell. So it came as a great relief when the dragon responded with promises of food, shelter, and water. "Thank God..."
Atticus (obviously) didn't seem as relieved when the dragons spoke positively. Especially when the beasts began arguing amongst themselves. What were they saying? And why did they sound (and look) so mad? They would probably know eventually, since it was quite literally an offer they couldn't refuse.

Yuki finally breathed. At least they weren't hostile. Yet.
"I don't like this," he murmured, drawing back from the front of the wagon and sitting on the floor. Perhaps talking to himself, but likely to be overheard.
Hitsu was still sitting quietly back in the wagon, preferring not to make herself known to the outside world until someone else had assured her that it was safe.

As everything settled down and the decision was made, Durzo finally appeared. All seven foot plus of the dragon came lurking out of the jungle before the group and he came to a halt behind Sohki. Despite his size he was rather quiet in his approach though his size was hard to miss. He grumbled low in his chest to let his superior know he was there.
"Ah, Durzo," Sohki nodded. "Glad you could join us. We will be guiding the pr...visitors back to the palace." A slight slip but Sohki hoped he covered it up quickly enough. He had greeted Durzo in English hoping the large brute would understand. Not that it mattered, Durzo never spoke.
With a slight nod that he understood, Durzo moved forward toward the wagon of people, placing his large sword back into the sheath on his back. The first thing he did was move toward the horses and start to unhook them from their bindings to the cart.
"Woah," Neko was a little shocked to see the huge creature emerge from the trees. At first he was on high alert that something may be about to start a fight before he realized he was a friend of the others. But then the dragon began to approach and untie the horses. "Wait...what are you doing?" Neko asked.
"He is detaching them from the cart so we can transport them easier," Sohki explained, his tone letting it be known that Neko should know this already.
"Transport them?"
Sohki sighed, "Yes, its much quicker to just fly. Branka! Kylar! Grab the horses and head back to the palace!" They didn't have horses at the palace but they would no doubt be able to find a suitable arrangement for the creatures.
Neko looked at Blade uncertainly. No doubt these creatures were strong, but two dragons were taking the two horses...there was no way the remaining two....despite how freakishly large one was, could lift the wagon and transport it.
"So how are all of us getting to the palace?"
In the meantime, Mitsu had thrown on some clothes, though just her split skirt and sleeveless black top. It was too hot for anything else. Curiously she peeked over the bench seat at the front of the wagon and instantly hunkered back down when the largest of the dragons approached.
