"I don't think we can, how can we explain this to a doctor?" Bjorn asked.

"This is New York. You could say a knife fell out of the sky, bounced off rubber and hit her. No one asks questions."

Jack knelt down and scooped her up. He held her tightly to him. She felt colder than before. He groaned quietly as he could sddenly feel panic growing inside of him.

"Don't worry. You'll be safe."

Lindzi pursed her lips, and put her hand on her hip, a sigh of her impatience with the entire situation. However, as Jack picked the women up, Lindzi relaxed and sighed.

"Let's get out of here..." She whispered to Bjorn, taking a few steps backwards before fulling turning and heading out of the park.

Feeling the foreign warmth of Jack's some-what human skin sent shivers down her spine. Her eyes were closed and her teeth were tightly gritted. The pain seemed to echo throughout her body when he picked her up. She was close to losing her consiouness, fighting to barely stay awake. The voices around the young, wounded vampire were blurred, as well was her vision. Takiko knew she was safe with Jack, so she showed no sign of attempting to communicate.

Fate slinked into the park. It seemed even darker here.
The bloodlust she'd detected earlier was growing worse. Her nails and fangs had begun to grow. Even the Vampire's crimson eyes were more than crimson now.
She crossed her arms over her chest and tried not to think about it. Fate aimlessly wandered toward the large fountain in the center of the park. She remembered it well, though Fate didn't want to.
As she ran her fingers across the sharp, shiny marble, Fate noticed her veins increasing in size and visibility. She immidiately crossed it beneath her other arm again and sighed.
After sitting, she glanced up at the sliver for a moon. Since she'd moved to New York, Fate had seen very few stars. The seemingly solid night sky had no flaw. Maybe that was its imperfection.
It was so quiet here for some reason. Maybe that's why she could think. The five months she and Kreig had been together, Fate had little time to contemplate things as she used to. This anniversary only reminded her more of that.
