"I'm sure there's bigger ones." He laughed, not exactly the expert on the subject of fish but still certain not all fish were quite as small as the one dangling from his fishing pole. "Maybe not in this stream, though." As the small creature's movements calmed down from loss of energy and lack of water to breath in, Lavi frowned slightly at the pitiful thing. He wasn't at all against killing animals for food, he knew where his favorite dish came from, but he hadn't planned on eating fish tonight and Sil was right about its size not being near enough for a proper meal anyway. Killing it would have no purpose. "I suppose you're right..." He agreed, pulling on the line to bring the fish in closer. Careful not to harm it any more than he already had, Lavi eased the little hook out of its mouth. The fish flopped tiredly in his hands as he lowered it back into the stream and he hoped he hadn't left it out too long for it to recover. Being submerged in water seemed to boost the fish with new energy, though, and it quickly sped off down the stream, away from the crazy humans sticking hooks in its body.
"
I don't really like fish much, anyway..." He said, as if needing to defend his actions, reeling in the rest of the fishing line and putting the rod away against a nearby boulder. He finished the rest of his cider, watching the bright sun through a squinting eye as it moved all the more to the west, to the end of the day. Today had been perfect, they'd been able to be together, alone, for a while and he'd rather not have it end by the necessity of returning to the castle. A realization hit him, then, and he nearly smacked himself on the forehead for not thinking of it before. "Y'know, Gramps isn't around..." He started, rummaging through the basket again in search of that yakiniku she'd mentioned earlier, "So I, y'know, don't necessarily have to be in my room tonight, or anything..."

"Me neither," she agreed, though the words were a partial lie. There was many a manner of aquatic dish that she would happily partake in as long as Jerry prepared it-- the man was a genius, after all. However, as Lavi released the little creature back into the water she smiled, watching the rainbow of scales shimmer beautifully as it darted off to safety. Having the little fish off of her conscience made her feel much better about losing the fishing battle, a reverent breath leaving her lips as she relaxed back into what felt like a few perfect stolen hours from the day. The temperature was perfect, the setting was beautiful and the company could not have been chosen better, but the practical Silvia knew that they would eventually be missed and their time must come to an end.
Sil settled back down at his side, tucking her legs back to rest on one hip as she enjoyed the rest of her cider with a soft, pleased smile painted on her lips. His voice broke her from her contemplative silence, and as he so casually threw out the facts of his evening setup, she felt heat rise to her cheeks. There had been many, many cold, lonely nights where she had wished he could have been there to keep her warm-- amongst other things. The way he had mentioned it almost in passing told her that his mind was likely not where the average male would have been, but her thoughts had been right down there with the rest of them. "You should... come stay the night then," her cheeks were still pinched with color as her doe-eyed gaze locked on him, "Maybe you'll finally believe my room is haunted..."

Actually, I did, but i'm not currently on my laptop..I could go on it though o: (actually I do need to start some projects and I need to be on my laptop to do them))
