"Oh it's alright. Always room for an emotional woman on my shoulder." Grinning at her though Zykariel came off rather blunt and he blinked a moment before looking back to Zahara and forcing a grin to hide his sudden nervous demeanor...he think he just crunched some of her toes. "Well, not that I'm just begging you for one, Zykariel mentioned things and well...I'd be happy to help out..." He really didn't want her knowing how bad he was off right now. Though Zykariel kept on it and Zahara seemed none too opposed. He supposed he should snap up a golden opportunity when it landed in his lap. "Um sure that's fine with me..."

It was not fine with him however. He couldn't help but see the certain bond this other man and his son were sharing and he was half worried that Zykariel was trying to position replacements in the house. And the boy outright lied to his mother...he didn't even got to school anymore. A frown at those there though not while they were looking. No this was not fine with him at all. Zahara had already pretty much said yes though and he knew she'd take their son's argument and use it. Turning on his boot heel he stalked out of the room.

A blink at his son as he was holding school books and the light had he gave a questioning look before the boy was off again and he turned, watching him down the hall. "Where are you go-...." Well where the hell was he off to and with his books no less...maybe he was going to throw them in the river. But onward to his training room he opened a chest and began to root through the many articles there. If this Nadai was going to be around...he wanted an even closer eye on him.

"Only sweet as I know how..." Again that grin that said he wasn't trying to be too much of a bother as Zykariel ratted him out on not eating. He'd made food for the boy but there wasn't enough to himself and he opted out till he could run into the market. "Um...you don't have to feed me but if it makes you feel better..." Taking off his cloak and sitting down at the table, unknowingly in Sevilin's usual spot though.

He merely watched her in her flurry of motions and tried to cover up his growling stomach with a chuckle and conversation. A polite thank you as he was handed a plate and he did indeed dig in.

Sevilin slipped the slave cuff into his pocket after scribing several runes on it. Walking out he stopped at the entranceway to the kitchen...was he in his seat? Blinking as Zahara then brushed by him with Kelligrin and plopped down at the table....and she was letting that elf sit in his seat. Zahara didn't even let the kids sit in his spot at the table. Made his proverbial fur bristle more.

Nadai briefly turned his eyes to the other male...was that Zykariel's father? Looked enough like him...did not like that look in the man's eyes though his attention was knocked to Zahara as she was back with questions. "Oh no he was no trouble at all. Rather well behaved...eager to learn. I hope you don't mind but I was teaching him some of my old techniques. I think he may actually have a shot at winning his last race here in that quad series."

It only irritated him more that she regarded him like that. First off he wasn't going to sit down in a seat that wasn't his because his own was being occupied by some younger male drow. Secondly he'd lost his appetite. And he couldn't help but think about his son...whom had been displaying rather apprent different behavior to this man. Hell if Zykariel didn't look so much like himself he may think the boy was this guy's.

"Teenagers are easy to deal with if you see some of yourself in them. Was just a matter of disarming him so to speak and making sure he didn't do anything stupid." He couldn't help but bask at the praise she was giving him but at the same time she would note the reluctant smile from him on the subject. "He's a quick learner...I haven't raced in ages but apparently no one rides as we used to. I think a little bit of old tricks will help him out." Chuckling lightly after a bite though, he always ate like he was hungry but at least did it graciously so. "Duly noted, but I'm sure he won't be too much trouble...at least seems to like me." Another laugh, "Though he did complain about the cooking...not so much verbally but you know. No one can beat you."

"That's understandable though, parents just aren't always the best ones to talk to about some things and you need someone else to vent to. Point is I think he feels better about things. A little frustrated over a few things still but those are going to have to be solved with him and effort on others parts and not just his own." He couldn't help but chuckling as the baby she was holding was obviously not happy about strawberries and the like. "Bed if you dipped it in something he'd eat it." Tending to his food for a few minutes in silence as he listened to her. "I think I made a decent example...Destyny is known as one of the best horses running, and yet she came up short to Jin still. She caught up yes, but she was worn long before she ever did while Jin might as well be skipping in ease of motion."

"Well he has new techniques to show off with now if he chooses to use what I taught him." Shrugging lightly and smiling as Kelligrin changed his opinion about strawberries for the day while he finished off his plate and politely wiped his mouth and hands on his napkin. It was clear he ate like any typical male drow, but not in the usual extreme. He'd had it lucky. "Leg's all healed and he's back to his same old barely there limp. You know he thanks you...and he thinks Destyny is silly."

He watched the little elf toddle off to do whatever it was that little elves did in their free time and focused back on Zahara, giving her a bright smile. "I don't think he gets her just yet. You know how he is, especially since he took that fall. Horses are allowed to be self conscious too."

Okay he was done. That elf wasn't moving unless he was tossed out of that seat and Zahara obviously wasn't going to do such a thing. Looking down to the little elf that was let loose, he offered the boy his fingers to hold and turned as well to lead him. "How about you and I throw and break some things, hm? You'd like that."

Getting himself up he cleared his throat and pulled his cloak back on, nodding to her as he followed her then outside as she was explaining things. "So I guess you want me to just show up every morning of those five days I choose hm? I can do that easy. Jin will enjoy it enough I know that." Though he tried not to grimace and started calculating things in his head...his amount to need to survive was either oddly cheap or way expensive. He'd settle for something in the middle personally. Long as Jin got fed. "Works for me, I'll have to figure out how bad off I'm being a bachelor."

"No, she won't. She buys new china every six months for a reason." Plate breaking therapy and he led the child to his training room, closing the door and pulling out the box with said china in it. Picking out a small plate he handed it to Kelli then grabbed one himself and showed the little boy what to do...throw it at the wall and let it break.
