((@Sil: That would be the disturbing sex scenes...and the part where the two serial killers first meet each other...and of course, the very gory scenes, like when one of the serial killers scoops out the insides of one of his victims emotion_awesome ))

Lavi's mouth formed into a silent 'oh' as he remembered that conversation and realized her reasons for bringing along the fishing poles. He sat down as well and started twirling the pole in his hands. "Right, I remember." He chuckled awkwardly, looking down at his hands. He had in fact never really fished in his life, nor did he ever truly have much of an interest in it. "To be honest, that wasn't... a very serious answer." He admitted, frowning apologetically, still watching the fishing pole twirl in his fingers, "You had a lot of questions that I couldn't give you the answers to, so I at least wanted to reply to those that I could answer. I didn't have a real one, so I... said that. I've been training to be the next Bookman since I was six, so it's difficult for me to imagine anything else and the only thing I did know I'd want to have in such an alternative life I couldn't say at the time... which is you." His voice went quiet at the end and his gaze flitted up to her for a second, slightly embarrassed by that little speech and he took a sharp intake of breath before continuing in a louder voice. "Anyway, we could still try it since you brought them along. It could be fun, right? I'd definitely catch a way bigger fish than you."

((I had a friend in HS who really liked my eye color and kept saying he wanted to put my eyes in a jar... Luckily if I ever go eyeless someone will know who did it. :c... Now Lavi can be my witness for you <3!))
"Oh, great," her words were half-laugh, and she shook her head at him, more because she was embarrassed that she had failed rather miserably at finding one of his interests. However, as he mentioned why he had said that, what he had been avoiding saying, her features softened and her heart swelled knowing that he had managed to have something he wanted in his actual life instead of an imagined alternative. "Well... I understand that, I guess... I just thought that everyone had a dream that they would never quite meet, something that always stays a dream to strive for."
With a little smile she picked up her poll, fiddling with the fishing line and the odd, brightly colored lure that hung off the end of it. How hard could it be to fish, after all? "When I first came to the Order I barely said ten words to anyone that whole first year I was there, and when I was lonely I imagined what kind of life would make me happy. In the beginning I wasn't fond of people, so I mostly imagined the kind of house I would want to live in... and where it would be," she made a slight face, thinking something had tugged on the line when it was simply the current. Part of her hoped Lavi would win, because she honestly wasn't sure what she would do with a fish. "You never imagine anything like that? Besides the obviously delusional dream that you're going to be better at fishing than me."
