“I meant if you walk eight steps then… oh never mind,” Sil laughed and wiggled on his back, easily ducking beneath any low hanging foliage while steering her boyfriend carefully into the position she wanted him standing in. She made a contemplative humming noise, purposefully testing Lavi’s patience since he seemed so curious. Letting him sit in a few more moments she simply rested her chin on his shoulder, gazing out at the sight to make sure everything was as perfect as could be. “So impatient…” her voice was light and amused. “Your girlfriend tries to surprise you and you have to try and ruin it the whole time, hm?”
Finally she lifted her hand from his eye and curled it back around his neck to hold onto him. “Tadaaaaaa~” she sang, knowing her little surprise was not that exciting, but it was a fun journey none-the-less. They were looking at the rocky bank of a deep stream that likely fed off to a river or a lake some few miles away—on the edge of it was a soft green blanket that nearly blended in with the perky swaying grass that had thrived along the bank where a picnic basket sat waiting to be opened. There were also two fishing poles propped along the mouth of the basket waiting to be used. She had remembered a conversation they had some many months ago—their lives and what they wished they would be like if the Order, or being a Bookman in Lavi’s case, was not in the way. Lavi had said he would enjoy living the quiet life of a fisherman and she wanted to allow him a tiny piece of that. After all, his entire life built with her was a stark contrast to the life he was meant to be living and she saw no harm perpetuating. “To thank you for putting up with exactly six wonderful months of my nonsense, I thought it might be fun to spend some time together doing something you like. There's yakiniku, sandwiches and sparkling apple cider-- the American kind, not the alcoholic kind-- in the basket."
