After returning from the vacation at sea, Lavi had to catch up on some of the things he had neglected while playing around on the beach so for the past few days he had been holed up in the library where it was most quiet and he could read up on the things Bookman had left for him. The older man had left on some business shortly before the killer bees infested the castle and they had to be evacuated.
Lavi dumped the book he had been flipping through on the stack next to his chair and shifted his position, sitting up straight and resting his hands on his knees. With a deep sigh through his nose he closed his eye and emptied his mind, visualizing only a room. This room connected to others and they were filled with a number of objects, his mind's eye clearly focusing on each object as he moved through the imagined space. It was a part of a memory technique he'd been taught and he occasionally needed to train it, especially if he hadn't actively used it in a while.

A week of being back to the Order's version of normal life had already started to drive her up the wall. The last few days of her vacation had been wonderful with Kyle aside-- her carefree days with Lavi were priceless and desperately missed now that they were in the past again. Sil was starting to notice how much more dissatisfied she was becoming during the times that they were apart, finding the more time they spent together, the more she desperately craved it. An admirable effort was made on her part to stay away, but today she simply couldn't hold back any longer and she went on the hunt for the young man.
Lavi, in his Order lifestyle, was fairly predictable. He loved eating, sleeping and was often forced to read, and that only left a handful of places for her to search for the energetic red-head. The library was second on her list, and as she spotted the young man sitting so pensively a gentle smile touched her lips. His meditative state caused her to pause her plans, and she waited in the doorway watching him with a tilt of acute curiosity for about a minute before she became impatient. With a tip-toe as silent as she could managed, she manevered behind the young man's chair and draped her hands over his eyes before she could open them. "This is a kidnapping," she informed him, her voice wavering as she tried to keep it grave and serious. "As long as you go quietly I might let you live."

Completely focused on his memory training, Lavi didn't hear anyone come in and approach him, the sudden touch to his face shaking him from his concentration with a jolt, the room in his mind disappearing instantly. A grin crept on his face when he heard her voice, remaining still and not making an attempt to remove her hands. "You almost gave me a heart attack already. You're not a very good kidnapper."
