Streamjumper Joasis Borderlands is one sexy game, I want it so bad. crying heart
I know it's dainty but when I played with my friend on his copy, the Ladyfinger was purdy. If you have a 360, give me your gamertag. Mine's Streamjumper. And if you end up getting Borderlands, let me know. We seriously need some AG group action on this game. It is utterly awesome solo, and everything I hear about multi is epic, especially with friends. I really hope Zero and WJ grab this one. Shouj too. I see her on a fair amount of the time.

I've pretty much decided that my four-something hundred dollars of spare change is going to go to this. In order not to freak the bank out, I'm going to take it in over the course of a few days. But, I don't know what games I'm going to get right off. /blatant lie (Borderlands, Fallout 3, Bioshock, Mass Effect, Dead Rising, and probably a dozen others are sitting on top of my "GOTTA BUY THIS RIGHT AWAY" list.)

I would strongly suggest getting Bioshock immediately. Not only is it great single player, but you can split screen locally with Kaiser or jam online with myself, Kane, and Cynder (sadly, you can't play splitscreen AND online at the same time)... and whomever else might get it. And the first expansion has already been announced, Dr Ned's Zombie Island or some such... going for $9.99. I'd also recommend getting either getting the GOTY edition of Mass Effect ($20, and includes the DLC expansion Bring Down the Sky) or the dual pack with both Dead Rising and Bioshock at some point to maximize your gaming dollar value. For Fallout 3, you chose a great time, with the release of the GOTY edition (the game itself plus full access to the 5 downloadable content packs? $60 for what figures out to equal $110 of gaming goodness? PLZKTHX.) having just passed. There's a metric assload of other good stuff both in the past and around the corner, but any three of the ones on your list would easily occupy your time fully. And with the Elite (and its 120 gb hard drive, perfect for installing your games on to ensure maximum gameplay enjoyment) having dropped to $300 (unless you found one of the Pros left for $250... I wouldn't suggest the Arcade at all, to be honest), you can get a new game an probaby at least one other. I'd also suggest looking into one of the plug-n-play battery packs and charger too. These controllers aren't battery hogs, but you can easily chow its worth in batteries before long with decent levels of gaming, and the convenience of just hooking a cord on and playing while charging is almost worth the whole price alone.

That's what I did. cool We are looking at getting a second though. You guys should get at least one copy of Borderlands. This could easily become a favorite of many of us AGers. Just a few highlights of our play tonight (myself, Cynder, and Kane) included: - several incidents of bad driving - a few situations where Cynder and I stole Kane's vehicle after he blew ours up - upon arriving at the wharf for one of our missions, I promptly turned around and blew up our transport to show the enemy how serious we were about not leaving before the job was done. Nevermind that Cynder's frenzy and my total willingness to turn to excessive firepower as the first and only solution to every problem left only corpses to witness this moment of determination. - my repeatedly using one of our rides to demonstrate a weapon's firepower potential - obscene levels of rocketspamming (my effect of making the party's ammo regen at a decent rate + high fire rate rocket launcher + the weapon effect "Fear the Horde" [the further each missile travels before hitting something, the more times it splits, causing a swarm of explosions] + the fact that my choice of skills means that my ranged attacks actually heal rather than harm fellow players = insanity) - continuing a habit of rocketsniping aerial targets at extreme ranges (in some cases needing to travel for several seconds before hitting the target - using the aformentioned rocket swarms to take out entire flocks of flying enemies, often while laughing maniacally and shouting things about "anti-air artillery", - while Cynder wandered off for some reason for a minute or two, I hopped in a vehicle and proceeded to use the buggy to push him around for a bit. Upon getting back, he asked me what I was doing (the reply was "I'm helping! I'm helping!") before deciding to mount the vehicle by climbing over the driver's roll-cage and entering the turret just in time to fire some rockets at the enemies that had just spawned in.

Dr. Fomite You guys make those games sound so fun. ;.; It is. Kane hates first person shooters, and he has played this constantly in the two days he's had it. I've had it since the morning of release day (two Tuesdays ago) and the only time it has left my xbox is when Kane borrowed it while I was at work to see what it was like. The game is great to begin with, but they really went way out of their way to make online multiplayer shine like a sun... a sun made of diamonds, the hardest metal known to man.
