Dom stops and looks in a mirror for a moment, trying to make his hair look less like crap (he's vane, I'm sure there're mirrors all over the place), "I just got a phone call, father colapsed at work, he's at the hospital now."

"Memorial." Dominic replies. Because wendy doesn't have time to think of something more original and less generic for a hospital name.

And dominic goes in to see his dad, and he's all upset. because even if they don't really get along well, it's still his dad! Eventually, a nurse shoes him out of the room because his dad needs rest, and a doctor comes to tell him that they don't know what's wrong yet, but they're conducting tests. Which Dom doesn't know why the doctor bothered to tell him, because that's not really useful info. Then he goes out to the waiting room to tell Setsuna what's up.

"They don't know anything yet. Dad's resting now." Dom's fidgetting. because he's upset, and probably needs a smoke.

"What the hell am I supposed to do?" Dominic asks, not even knowing what the hell setsuna was talking about, "I'm probably going to go out for a smoke, that's what I'm doing."

"I don't know. I haven't even called her or anything..." He pulls out his cellphone, and sees that it's afterschool... and late enough for her to be at his house, "s**t. I'm calling her now."

...and he calls her, on his way outside for a smoke.

He tells her what's happening, and then tells her not to bother coming over to the hospital, because he was probably just going to visit his dad once more than leave anyways. He tells her to just make herself supper at his house, then says good bye. And then he lights a cigarette.

"I don't need to be babysat." Dominic points out. Which isn't to say he doesn't want people around, he's just not in a good mood.
