There has to be NOTHING between your physical form and the scan ray. Anything that wasn't subjected to the reality shift may alter the results.

You may feel a slight tingling sensation and a slight bit of dizziness after the scan. It is mapping your reality blueprint, per se.
At the very worst, there may be a slight case of incoherence.

::shoves the holo-screens aside and reaches for the manual override on the scanner ray. Gets smacked in the head by the crackling energy arc, knocking Brainy off to the side as the ray changes direction and starts firing at the ceiling::
