Graceangel Risha Hinu Your welcome. I think I'll go back and find your pic. And why is your selfconfidence low xangel? Your so pretty! she is pretty... and talented too.. you ever see the avi art she made of me? it was really awesome best one i've had yet... almost makes me wanna go get all kinds of avi art for my character.. heh.. All I can now, and just like another said..I normally don't take compliments too well is all..I've never really accepted the fact that I'm pretty b/c of how..the only ppl who ever told me so was either family or elders of the church..and I only assumed they said it because I mean..they're either family or older folks whose eye sight is fading as well as what's 'beautiful' for today..so I figure they're supposed to be nice like that.. As for my drawings, I have been improving..I mean I'll just..randomly have a moment where I wanna draw..it's those moments my art comes out more original and better..

I just went to open my mail and found this. Quote: For the first time in history, an incredible opportunity is available to humankind: the opportunity not simply to pray to God, obey God, fear God or reject God but, in fact, to become like God. This revelation of human destiny was discovered by kabbalistic scholar Michael Berg while translating the Zohar, the 23 volumes of ancient Aramaic text that comprise Kabbalah's key text. In revealing this opportunity for humanity, Berg outlines the transformative method by which huge numbers of people can now escape the prison of ego nature and become, in all its joy and audacity, like God. In his continuing work to demystify and teach the ancient, esoteric texts of Kabbalah, Michael Berg suggests that the time is right for people to break free of "ego nature" and achieve total joy and immortality: in other words, to "become like God." Advising ruthless honesty about human life. Its pain, suffering, and death. And then providing an escape plan based on those truths, Berg uses the tools of Kabbalah. Such as the Zohar, the key text of the discipline. As well as the collective energy of all the individuals sharing this path to help form that critical mass that will allow everyone to realize their true, joyous nature. Becoming Like God gives readers the methodology to be applied at every moment to destroy ego, begin transformative sharing, and create a path to realize their true, godlike nature. granted, it was in an ad, but not only did I laugh, when I was done laughing, i was furious. We're human. We will not ever become like God. Humans who try are extremely self-absorbed and have committed the greatest sin ever, the one that got Satan outta heaven. Anyone else find this outrageously....nuts? http://www.becominglikegod.com/

Not so much "nuts" as "sad". I mean, that lie's been around in one form or another since Adam and Eve, and there's still some idiots who believe it.
Then again, some idiots will believe anything they want, regardless of common sense or overwhelming evidence. 'Tis the shape of the world, I suppose.
It was written of Sherlock Holmes that he didn't "suffer fools gladly". I confess, I share that trait.

Yeah....my dad doesn't suffer fools gladly...ever... Absolutely no tolerance for a lot of things. Brilliant, but low on patience. Wonder how he put up with me xd
I"ve heard of him too. It's just....it's not that it's nuts in the sense that it isn't tempting, because who on earth hasn't had one moment of foolish pride....but it's nuts in the things....
Alright this isn't me saying it, I'm paraphrasing. And yelling. So, I'll put it in a dif. color.
Our negativity is not us. The biggest trick God's given us is that He is us, what He wants is what we want. The only way we can get rid of the negative force in us is to figure out what He wants, not me. We think He's us. Saboteur. HE JUST CALLED GOD A saboteur God puts the negativity in us.
I may be a bit liberal in regards to the bible, but I'm not THAT extreme. Not even close.

So basically, to get rid of our ego, we need to disregard what God wants and just do what we want, becuase that is obviously how we get closer to God.
Because indulging our wants and needs without regard to His will isn't building our ego, oh no. It's getting us closer to Him.
That's sorta like saying, your mother's gotten you to think that you want what she does, but that's a trick she's put in you, it's alright to drink and drive if you want to, it's alright to have sex with whomever you want, it's alright to go against what she's taught, not only is it alright, it is good because it is how you become closer to her, doing what you want, reacting how you want, and getting into things that you want to get into.
Course, if people do that, they can get into accidents and be in hospital beds and their moms will come and they'll beg her to help and there is nothing she can do...they've sent themselves to their graves and it's too late for her to protect them from it. She must watch her child die, depsite all she did to protect and teach her child, because of the child choosing not to listen to her, not to love her. There isn't a miracle cure where the child says, Oh, you were right, gee, sorry mom, she can pull it out and the child's learned the lesson. It's the last lesson the child learns but never has a chance to do better next time.
Sorry, I just get very...annoyed with people who say that God is trying to trick us or that to love Him, we must do what we want. Like that mother, God has given us all rules. He has given us curfews, advice, love, encouragement. He has loved us all. When we refuse to obey Him and repent for our sins, and we die and go to Him, we are that child who despite all He did to save us, despite Jesus coming down to save us, disregarded that love and rejected it. God doesn't want to send us to hell, ever. He wants to bring us all to heaven. But there's a point where we've chosen hell. He gave us free choice, to love Him or not. Once we've made that final choice, He cannot save us anymore than He's tried....He can, but we've chosen to reject all of His attempts to save us. To say that He wants us to reject His will and do what we want to do is a fatal mistake. He loves us all. He would not put evil in us, He would not cause us to do evil. He gives us all He can give in order for us to love Him freely, of our own will and not of His power, but it is what He's guided us to do, it is His will for us to love Him, and once you say He doesn't want us to love Him and follow His word, you're saying you love yourself more than you love God. To me anyway. It's hard to love God, but it's not because of Him, it's because of evil. Evil is not of God. There is evil in this world. To quote Voldemorte (sorry if you hate Harry Potter, but I'm addicted):
"there is no such thing as good and evil, only power and the determination to use it"
That is evil's trap, to try to look nonexistant. I believe firmly that there is evil in this world, and it is not of God. When we sin, it is no excuse to say, God made me do it, or, The devil made me do it. God doesn't make us sin, He enables us to sin so that we are enabled to love Him...if we couldn't do wrong, we couldn't do right, could we? Jesus was capable of sin, but He never did. He disciplined Himself. Without being able to sin, we wouldn't be able to love God. So that one I always wave off. The devil made me do it is also no excuse to me. Sorry, but you chose to follow the devil. You had God and Satan giving you options, and you CHOSE Satan's option. I don't like it when people hide behind Satan or God. We're human. We make mistakes and have the ability to sin or do good, both things in the extreme. We all face challenges and it is up to us to choose. If you choose wrong, be a big boy and admit it. Don't hide behind a God who does no evil, or a devil who only does evil. face up to it.
Sorry, it made me extremely angry, that site I mean.

Dragonbait @_@ Er, would you mind terribly putting that third paragraph in a quote box? For a second there, it looked like you were saying it yourself. Confused me. sorry, I was paraphrasing since I'm listening to it, they don't have it on paper. Probably because if they did online, those words would jump out of the page to Christians, Jews, Muslims, etc. more than in a book or speech. Or maybe so you'll buy the book. Changed colors a bit.
