She winced in reaction to the ice pack going on her ankle but otherwise relaxed as the ice started to lessen the swelling.
She smiled her thank you, adjusted it a moment and then leaned back, removing the headphones and mp3 she was listening to and set it aside.
"Is your coffee still hot?"
She knew how much he liked his coffee...

He shrugged.
"Dunno.. somehow, this Little Missy here seems more important than any coffee"
He assured her, poking her nose gently, before retrieving his cup and sitting on one of the armchairs, taking a sip from it and frowning.
"Lukewarm"

She giggled and wrinkled her nose when he poked it. She giggled again when he frowned. She'd missed his frown and did find this to be a bit amusing. Maybe she saw it as an equal trade: Her sore ankle for his lukewarm coffee.
"So how are you holding out against mom?" It felt a little weird calling Raven mom after all the time she used her name.

He lifted the cup up in response to the question. As long as the coffee didn't run out, he was ok.
"Doing ok so far. I still believe she'd be better of with Jay though, least he knows what a relationship is"
He had no problems admitting the truth to her, after all, she was his daughter and despite being a lousy father, they were close.
"And you? How's the young mum-to-be dealing with having her mother back?"

"It feels weird calling her mother...all this time she was there and I didn't know..." She became thoughtful for a moment. Of all the time she'd ever seen her father with her mother, not once did she recall him ever telling her he loved her...
It didn't click that he couldn't.. She just assumed that it had something to do with his incubus nature. And like any young child, she thought they were suppose to be together, not that she didn't like Jay.

"Yeah, I'd imagin it would"
He frowned after accidentally having some coffee, forgetting that it was lukewarm.
"Guess I shoulda told you earlier.. both of you"

She gave a small smile.
"It'd have been nice...but things would have changed and you might want to refresh your coffee, dad."

He looked at her, questioning her opinion.
"I dunno.. don't think too much would have changed"
He did agree with her however on getting a new coffee and got up.
"Want one?"

"Sure...Can you add sugar to mine please?"
She liked hers with sugar....just enough to sweeten it.
She thought how things could have changed but what was done was done.

He nodded before heading to the kitchen, returning a short while later with a sweetened coffee for her and a normal one for him, handing her the sweet one.
"How are you holding up, really? And how's that feeder working out for you?"
He asked as he sat down again. He hadn't had a chance to talk to her since the news of her pregnancy, partly because he had been playing the avoidance game with her feeder and given that he tended to be around her a lot, Joe had decided against spending time with her.

She took the coffee with little movement to her ankle. She carefully took her drinks from the cup, muling over the questions. How was she holding up? The cravings she felt for sex had enhanced, if only a little.
She let her mind wander to Andras and a smile crept on her face, a small sly smile as she looked to her dad.
"He's wonderful...you should have someone around you Dad. Quite nice having someone around."

He smiled at her, it was good to hear that she enjoyed him.
"I'm sure it is, but you forget, I don't have any nagging thougths that make it hard to feed whenver the need arises"
He wasn't likely to have a feeder for himself as he feared that any feeder he had would end up getting hurt like Raven had.

She scowled at him.
"I'm not that picky with who I feed from..."
She was tempted to throw the fact that she wasn't left with him to have the lack of morals.

"You're not?"
He asked in mock suprise. Whilst he did appreciate that her mother taught her morals he had also seen the flaw in that when Alexis had attempted to starve herself in order to upkeep her morals.

"No..."
She pouted a little. She wanted to say she wasn't as picky as her mother was...but then she'd never seen her mother with anyone but her father and Jay.
She wasn't sure what else she wanted to say so she just took another drink of her coffee.
