Taryn bumped into the wraith when he stopped, too engrossed it looking around her to notice much of anything. The tunnels were a lot older than she had imagined. Every now and again she would spot something that seemed out of place, and wondered if perhaps there were doors built into the walls, or any other neat tricks. She bit her lip at Bertram's question, glancing at the thing and frowning. Had she...? She wasn't sure. There were a few things she could do, but she wasn't really sure if any of them would come in handy at the moment. Other than getting them out of there... But that wouldn't work, because Bertram was too involved in his goal. She eyed the treasure, and then looked back at the wraith. "Gods above, fine. Treasure." She pulled the knife she still kept in her pocket, out and frowned. At least it could prove as distraction, until she thought of something better. She took the blade and flung it at the tentacled creature, and found herself picking up some shiny objects before she realized the room was full of interesting things... "Bertram...?" She appeared beside him again, her eyes wide. "Going, now."

The wraith couldn't go, though. He had to find some treasure... pulling out his pocket edition of Death Magick for Dummies, he thumbed through it and cast a big glowing spell of fire, which rushed down the hall and consumed the tentacle beasty.

Which was already dead, because her dagger had somehow hit a vital point. One of the thing's eyes. It gave a loud scream as its life energy pooled out, a scream which was answered from elsewhere in the caverns. Bertram came to, suddenly. "Um... sorry, what were we..." He leaned against a section of the wall, and fell through it.

On the other side was the most marvelous thing the wraith had ever seen... a shimmering doorway in the middle of the room, which opened onto... he didn't know what. There were stars, and comets... and... Still, it was scary. So he eeeked.

And where had Elizabeth hidden? She of course had gotten down stairs and ran through the wall and into the bar's kitchen, the clicking of her shoes echo'd only slightly as she opened a cupboard and hiden inside, she covered her mouth to surpress a giggle, oooh if her father was here he'd be awfully mad that she was hiding in a cuppord in her best dress.

Taryn rubbed at her temples. This was getting to be a bit much. They had a room full of treasure, and a room full of... What exactly, she was unsure as she stepped after Bertram. It was... Very interesting, and it took a good deal of her concentration not to just move closer to the door. Okay. Now it was time for Duellist, whether he liked it or not. She sent, rather violently. 'Duellist. Find me. Now.' Even though something at the back of her mind was telling her the doorway was guarded and probably against the likes of her lover, but she didn't care. They had found what he was looking for, and that was enough for me. She looked at the wraith, and poked him gently. "Since you scorched it, go get my knife. Please." She had very little interest in pulling it form the creatures charred remains.
