Joy looked into her plastic cup-thing, and scopped up some of the whipped cream and caramel with her straw, sticking it into her mouth. She sighed gently, not one of her usual depressed sighs but a blissful one. She drained the cup of the iced coffee and smiled softly before dumping the cup into the garbage and leaving.

Rei glanced to Giovanna as she made her way inside, raising an eyebrow in slight interest. He shook his head and followed after Ryuji, his eyes narrowed in thought. Oh really? In that case I think you need to stop reading people's thoughts. He snickered inwardly, his lips curling into a very faint smirk. What else do you 'know'?

Giovanna smiled warmly and nodded, setting her cappucino onto the table. Thank you, m'dear, she replied, your dress is quite cute as well. It suits you nicely. Would you like to have a seat? she asked, gesturing to the chair across from her.

Ryuji took a seat at a table, sipping his drink and making a face at it. This... is a bit too sweet, he mumbled, absentmindedly removing some of the sweetners they had put in it. What do I know? Well, I know that you're angrier than you're sad at Tatsumi, I know that you're a bit annoyed with him as well, and you'd be much better off with... someone else, perhaps?
Thank you! Miyoko giggled happily, taking the seat. You're so nice! she added, tilting her head to the right as she examined Giovanna's hair. It was intriquet, much more so than her sloppy braids. She blushed slightly and looked away, laughing more nervously this time. So, what's your name? she asked.

Rei narrowed his eyes at Ryuji, hurt that he would suggest such a thing. Oh? Who would I be better off with, hmn? I am angry, and I am annoyed with him, but only because he shuts me out so goddamned much...Rei clenched his teeth and let his eyes fall shut, shoving the emotions that Ryuji pulled from him back into their hiding places. I wouldn't be better off with anyone...and if I'm not going to be with him, then I won't be with anyone...he muttered, still through clenched teeth.

What's your problem, kid? Ryuji said, narrowing his eyes. It was harmless teasing you blew out of proportion. Maybe you shoved something up a place it shouldn't be when you're out in public, Ryuji growled lowly.
My name is Miyoko, she stammered, turning a deeper shade. Eh heh, actually, she started, not quiet sure where she was going with it yet. I was just noticing how nicely your hair was done, and how messy I probably look to someone such as yourself.

Joke or no joke, Rei started, folding his arms over his chest, I don't like when people insinuate that my decisions aren't the right ones. He sighed some, shaking his head and looking to the floor a moment. And thank you, but I make a point not to shove anything up anywhere before I go out. He wrinkled his nose slightly, hoping the sad attempt at a joke would at least help get his mind of Tatsumi, who he desperately wanted to go find.

Miyoko is such a pretty name for such a pretty girl, Giovanna smiled warmly. And don't worry about your hair, I'm just quite the perfectionist when it comes to mine... she trailed off, looking out the window with a sigh, falling silent for several moments. Anyhow, there's something very cute about your hair. There's a childish glee about you, it's quite adorable... Giovanna said, turning back to Miyoko, nodding. And may I ask you, what are you drinking there? she asked, leaning forward, peering into the cup.

Aww, Miyoko giggled, her blush fading. Thank you for such kind compliments! I'm drinking peppermint cocoa, it's my favorite! she exclaimed, tapping her feet happily against the floor.

Peppermint? Giovanna asked, raising an eyebrow and squinching her nose. Sounds utterly disgusting, but like something a girl like you would drink...not that I'm implying that you're disgusting. It's just not my taste. Giovanna took another sip of her cappucino and studied the young girl's face. So, Miyoko, what do you do around here?

Miyoko blushed softly, nodding to Giovanna. I see, I get my tastes mostly from my mama, she said, nodding more. What do I do around here? Well, not a whole lot! I was thinking about perhaps looking further into the Underground, because maybe there are some nice places, you know? I've been to the Fallen Star, which is a bar and club, and I've been to the Lakeside Cabins, which are... pretty nice, I guess. I was thinking to see if there were any nice places to play videogames, like an arcade, you know? she said, realizing that she had sort of wandered off with her words, not realizing just how much she had been talking. Oh dear, I'm sorry!

Rei rolled his eyes to Ryuji. He'd be more than happy to follow after Tatsumi, but he knew that Tatsumi wasn't ready to see him yet, and when he was ready, Rei would gladly find Tatsumi. Right...he muttered, shaking his head some. As if it were just that simple. He shifted, not yet leaving, and looked to Ryuji a moment longer. Before I go...he started, letting his arms unfold from his chest, Do you mind if I have a sip of that?

Giovanna watched Miyoko with wide eyes and a smile. Quite the chatterbox, are we? she laughed finishing off her cappucino. My niece is like that sometimes; she's around here somewhere. As for your looking further into the Underground, it sounds interesting. I only know of here so far, that I've been into at least. I plan on doing some exploring of my own sometime soon, she sighed, I'm just not sure when. So Miyoko, Giovanna slyly smiled, leaning toward the young girl again, do you have a boyfriend? Or...any crushes?

Ryuji sighed softly and slid his cup to Rei, grinning inwardly because it was empty. Sure, go ahead, kid.
Miyoko giggled softly, smiling. You have a niece? How nice! she said happily, kicking her feet as they didn't quite reach the ground under the table. Crushes? Ehh, she said, shifting as she thought of Hotari. She went silent.
