Kira's head was stitched up and she was spaced out staring up at the celing.Her eye was glased over and dull.

Ryou glanced backwards towards Yugi and Atem, who both shrugged, and opened the door, entering the room quietly. Ryou surpressed a shudder when he saw the Millennium Eye, wondering how long it would take him to get used to it. "Kira? How'd everything go?" Ryou asked softly, approaching the side of the bed. He wondered if the doctors made any fuss about the Millennium Eye, or if there was any damage to her other than the gash.
Yugi paused a moment after coming in, then turned towards Atem. "I'm going to go call Grandpa and tell him where I am. I bet he's getting a bit worried," he said to his yami in a hushed voice, which was answered by a nod as he slipped out of the room to locate a phone.

Kira dident answer him as she just blankly staired up at nothing.She had many IV's in her of diffrent things.

Atem and Ryou sat in silence for a little bit, before Atem cleared his throat softly. Ryou turned slowly towards him, and Atem knew that now was the chance he had been anxious about. "Hey... Ryou." He said, actually feeling a slight blush come onto his cheeks. "C'mere for a second, really quick?" Ryou obliged, rising from the chair next to the hospital bed and moving over towards Atem, a concerned look on his face. "Ryou, for a long while... Like back around Christmas and even before that..." Atem paused uncomfortablly, wondering if he should go on. "Well, I've liked you. Like liked you. I know what Bakura did to you, and I hope you don't take this the wrong way at all, but I had to tell you..."

Ryou stared blankly at Atem for a moment, unsure of how to respond. He searched deep inside himself, but truly felt no feelings like that towards Atem. The man looked like his best friend, for God's sake! He forced a small smile on his face, and nodded his head lightly. "I'm not sure what to say..." He mumbled, scratching the back of his head.
Atem must've taken this the wrong way. Since he had just overcome the moment he had been dreading, and hadn't really been turned down by Ryou, he caught the boy around his waist, pulling him closer to press his lips against Ryou's.
Ryou cried out in pain at Atem jerking him forward, his body still sore. His mouth was still open when Atem kissed him, which only made the pharaoh believe that Ryou did return his feelings, and deepened the kiss. Fear bubbled over in Ryou, since he had just been treated this way against his will was by Bakura at his-- their?-- apartment, and hated the feeling. "No--!" he tried to cry out, but it came out garbled and Atem either didn't hear him or chose not to. He struggled to pull away, but Atem's arm was still firmly on his waist.

Kira groaned softly her eye blinking "When did everything stop spinning?" she asked softly.

Ryou heard Kira's voice, sounding so far away in his own swirling mess of fear and confusion, and struggled a little harder ot get away from Atem, who was still at it in the heat of the moment. He felt tears streaming down his face, unable to escape from Atem, still feeling a large lack in his strength.

Atem did release Ryou at this, drawing away to study Ryou's face carefully, though it didn't take that long to see that what Kira said was true. Ryou wiped at his eyes, gasping a little, and Atem started to back out of the room, stunned. He silently left, without even any kind of apology whatsoever.
Ryou stood where he was, trembling slightly, his eyes shut so he could get the images out of his mind that was flooding it. After a little while he turned back towards Kira, wiping his eyes again. "Thanks..." He murmured, his voice soft and shaky. 'I don't even think I own myself anymore...' He thought bitterly to himself, approaching the side of Kira's bed. 'Not only has Bakura stolen everything worth anything to me, but I've lost all respect for Atem now...' Pushing aside these thoughts as best he could, Ryou forced a concerned look on his face as he studied Kira's face. "You okay? I haven't talked with a doctor yet..."

"i'll be okie...they just say im really sick...I try to tell them its not that bad but nobody wants to listen to me..." she sighed softly "you know if you wernt alowed I guess I would have just let myself die already.."

Ryou's eyes widened slightly at this, and he shook his head slightly. "You mean that?" He asked solemnly, closing his eyes and rubbing his temples, "Because I doubt I could do much without you... Bakura'd kill me after a while."

She nodded "yea..guess sometimes I feel like my only real meaning is to protect you..I like to feel that im needed.." she sighed softly "guess thats why I went downhill after you left..god why am I saying all this outloud?i'm just going to scare you more.." she closed her eyes and sighed agian "i'm sorry..."

Ryou bit his bottom lip softly, then reached out and took Kira's hand in his own. "No... no... It's okay." He said softly, shaking his head. "Look at me. I've been tortured, raped, seen way too much blood up to this point than I'd see on any corny scary movie. I've had everything I care about stolen away from me and have a yami living in my mind. My emotions seem to be running free, and I can barely control them most of the time. Way too many things to list, really." Ryou smiled bitterly. "So nothing should scare me anymore. I've been through almost everything, except..." He paused, searching his mind for something bad. Then he changed his track of thoughts and moved on to other things. "Except having a real family. My mother and sister died, and my father--" He faultered, not wanting to mention his father. "I've never known real happiness after getting the Millennium Ring. I can't really remember much before that moment. I think Bakura's messed with my memories at some point."
