Giselle LeFlour Well, try to move your embechoure around, and if that doesn't work, try to add a little bit of key with it. Darn saxophones and our out-of-tune notes! xd I tried a fingering that keeps it in tune, but there are some parts in the music that make it really hard to do that. It's probably my embouchure, though...I've had to adjust a lot ever since I got braces, and I noticed when I moved my jaw back a little bit it was more in tune. Thanks!

Ugh, I know where you are with the whole braces thing. I just got mine in November. domokun
They make playing so difficult, sometimes. Like when you have scoops, but your cheek gets caught on your wire that didn't get trimmed quite short enough.

Yeah, they suck. If everything goes right, I'll have them off in a year. 3nodding I've had them for 6 months and 1 day. (Got them January 4th. And yes, I'm counting the days. xd )
I figured out why my C sharp was crap and my my sound was so airy, though. The key above the B key has this metal thing, and it goes into a small hole. (I love my explanations. xd ) So, I got the metal thing into the hole, and tried playing. My sound isn't airy AT ALL now, and my C sharp is back to the way it was. I'm happy now. >w< Now on Monday they'll see that I don't actually suck as much as it sounded! xd

That's good! I never knew there was a hole that a metal thing went in for that key, so now if I ever sound airy, I'll know where to look! It's always fun when you prove people wrong. xd

But it sucks when someone thinks they're awesome and/or better than you, when they aren't. Especially if you're seated above them. stressed
There's someone like that in our sax section.

The sad thing is, I used to be kinda like that in seventh grade. D: It was more of jealousy, really. But I've matured a lot, so I know that there are tons of people that are better than me.
We didn't use the chair system in middle school, so I'm interested to see how I'll be placed once concert season starts.

I love soprano, probably because it's the only saxophone I haven't played (besides the crazy ones). Part 1 of our show this year has an awesome soprano solo. =D The girl who's playing it is really good.
