The owl and the dead boy @War: I love the Miyazaki films. Have you seen Ponyo? That ones good... but watch it in Japanese. English version is kinda...  This night whispers my name
All the dying children Ponyo is next on my list...I've seen pretty much all the others at this point. o.o Let me think, there was Princess Mononoke, My Neighbour Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Tales from the Earthsea, Grave of the fireflies...and thats all I can remember seeing. >.> Most were Miyazaki films though. I have to say, I liked Princess Mononoke the best.

  K...I think I did enough gesture drawings /was supposed to draw them from life but I used stock photos ninja might draw some from TV in the morning.
I should at least start planning the spacing for my bouncing beach ball animation though

slifertheskydragon my favourite animated film of all time is Grave of the Fireflies. it's a Studio Ghibli animated but NOT miyazaki :u Thats a Takahata film if I'm not mistaken. All in all, most of the Ghibli films are quite good.

War, you forgot Nausicaa of the Valley of The Windo. I just rented that one recently and it was pretty good.
If you're just listing Studio Ghibli, and not specifically Miyazaki films, then you also forgot The Cat Returns, which is also good.
