To tell you the truth, I actually know of a virus that literally cant be stopped. Thankfully, there has only been 2 reports of it in the world but nothing can stop it.
||EMP hits the world just as the virus gets onto my computer, deleting the virus but only the virus due to it being a special EMP from the detonation from a star||

Um. No. I dont get arrested. There isnt an emp that effects only viruses, regardless of where its from. no. its not. there is seriously not a single EMP class weapon or EMP class blast that would specifically effect just viruses. I did a science paper over EMP effects and what all can cause them and EMPs target ALL electronics. As for files being corrupted, two things. A) If the virus corrupted them, it would just continue on to another file. B) A virus forces a comp to run it so if its too much for the comp, it just crashes the comp. it doesnt delete itself. my cousin taught me that much. He works for a computer maintenance company under the virus branch.
