Sohki ran through the choices of who he should take in his head. He didn't want to take a large number but didn't want to go light. There was no telling how many were actually in the wagon. Perhaps Kylar Branka, and Durzo were up for round up duty? Checking his weapon at his side he considered taking more than just a simple sword, but if need be he could always use fire magic. Surely he wouldn't need more than that?

Exiting through the main hall, Sohki made his way to the guard tower to round up his men and maybe one or two others. This would prove to be interesting if nothing else. He could only hope these new comers would put up a fight and he would be allowed to kill them.

"Durzo, Branka, Kylar!" Sohki called into the mess hall hoping they were there. With luck they stood up from their table looking to Sohki curiously. "Come on, we have a job to do."

Hearing her name, Branka let out a snort before taking a few more bites of food and heading over towards Sohki. She hadn't quite heard the news, so she was a tad clueless on the situation at hand. It didn't matter; at least they were getting some action hopefully.

"Well it's about time. Lets go crack some skulls," she grinned while popping her knuckles and heading out the door.

Sohki smiled. "We have intruders heading in from the Northern side. If they prove to not be hostile the Elder would like us to bring them here." It took every ounce of Sohki's will power not to sneer at the very idea. "Gather up your weapons and meet me at the castle gates in an twenty minutes. We'll fly out to see just how hostile these new comers are."

Durzo only nodded stuffing the last of his meal into his mouth. He seemed to be a rather large brute, somewhere around seven two and as thick as a tree trunk. His wings gave a bit of a flex at the idea of flying before he nodded and headed out to gather up his claymore.

Kylar grinned from ear to ear ready for the challenge. He was quite a bit younger than any of the others present, but still just as skilled. He was no where near as large as Durzo but the large ram like horns spiraling out and beside his head told the world he wasn't human. "So who do you think this group is?"

Sohki looked to Kylar, quirking a brow. "Does it really matter who they are?"

Kylar only shrugged before he moved passed Sohki to follow behind Branka. "Bran, wait up!"

Branka's grin faded at the news. It seemed they might not be cracking any skulls at all, but there was still hope. Even so, she didn't really like these sets of orders in the first place.

Unlike Durzo, she was quite the opposite, being a stout little one. If she were to stand next to the big guy, she'd probably look like quite a child, being only four feet tall without her horns.

Hearing the younger Kylar coming up from behind, she paused to let him catch up. At least he was still eager, which was quite admirable. She just hoped he wouldn't get in over his head once they took wing.

"Whoever they are, I won't be holding back should they try causing us trouble," she said as she grabbed her spiked gauntlets. There was nothing like pummeling others down with her fists after all.

Kylar grinned at that. Pulling his Kyoketsu Shoge from its resting place at his side, he gave the chain a bit of a twirl sending one of the the double edged blades in a neat little circle. He hoped this would be amusing, his Kyoketsu hadn't seen any action for a while and he was itching to use it. "I hope they try to cause trouble."

As promised Sohki was down at the castle gates well before twenty minutes were up waiting for the others. The big brute Durzo stood beside him as they waited for Kylar and Branka to arrive.

"So how do you think this is going to go?" Sohki asked Durzo as he looked out into the forest of the Oasis. In reply Durzo gave off a rumbling growl. "You think so? Well, we can only hope." Sohki smiled.

"I am ready for some action," Kylar said as he started to jog toward the gate. He had sharpened his weapon and polished it so now every inch of steel shone like fine silverware.

"You need to find a girl," Sohki mused looking at the overly pampered weapon.

"I thought you met my girlfriend," Kylar grinned as he patted the weapon lightly.

Rolling his eyes at his fellow dragon, Sohki stood back and waited for Branka to arrive. As soon as she appeared they would leave.

Branka had arrived right as Kylar patted his weapon. Shaking her head at the statement, she walked up to the others and flashed a grin. Her violet eyes seemed to gleam with eagerness.

"Alright, ready boys? Let's rock these intruders!" she shouted as she threw a fist into the air, pausing soon after she said that. She then grumbled, "Er... that's if they prove to be hostile..."

Shaking her head again, she spread her wings and leaped into the air, looking down at the men to see if they were coming.

The forest up ahead was growing tantalizingly closer. Blade couldn't tell if there were any people around just yet, but even an uninhabited oasis would be fine for now he figured. Either way, they were almost there.

Sohki smiled looking down at Branka. She did always know how to inspire the troops. "As the lady said." Sohki removed his cloak in one swift movement. Stretching out his wings he began to take flight with Durzo and Kylar not far behind. It wouldn't take them long to get to the Northern side of the Oasis. "Let's move!"

With a powerful gust of momentum, Sohki was well on his way leaving the others to follow. In about thirty minutes they would be at the Northern side and with any luck in another five they would have their prisoners.....err...guests.

Before too long, Branka spotted the wagon up ahead. Though for now she couldn't really see how many people there were or what they looked like from her point of view. Quite frankly, she didn't care all the much either.

Grinning, she watched ahead for Sohki to go ahead and begin their descent.

---

From the ground, Blade just spotted a few specks in the sky headed in their direction. They seemed a little big to be birds so he was a little wary at the moment.

"Something's coming our way..." he warned. Depending on what they were, it might be possible for the group to take cover in the trees once they reached them.

Atticus, who'd taken a seat just inside the wagon close to Blade, stood up and peered out, looking for whatever was approaching them. It took him a second to actually look to he sky.

His eyes focused on the specs for a moment. "Whatever they are, they're bigger than buzzards."

They didn't fly like buzzards either... What... What were they?

At Blade's warning, Riyo scooted up to the front and peered over Atticus's shoulder. She followed his eyes and raised an eyebrow. "What could be out here?"

Atticus looked back at her for a moment "Considering the trouble we're having just sitting out here, it's probably not something good."

"Look, up ahead!" Sohki pointed in the distance where the desert met the forest. The new comers were apparently close, a lot closer than he had estimated. "Come on, let's hurry before we lose them in the trees."

"Whatever you say boss," Kylar grinned ready for some action.

Durzo being bigger was much slower and in the back. Sohki's command to go faster only made him grumble in response. He was already going faster.

---

Mitsu had been transfixed on the greenery growing every closer that she didn't even see the flying specks until Blade said something. Peering up toward them she shook her head scooting back further into the wagon. Her eye sight was a bit enhanced and allowed her to see a little more than she would have cared too.

"Those are no birds." Mitsu said softly sitting back down next to Tobi who whined and barked softly.

Without another word, Branka tucked in her wings slightly to speed up. She was already beginning to fly lower as well, so she could try and get a better look at the people. If they were hostile, maybe they'll start flinging arrows or something at them. Then they wouldn't have to talk at all! Just action.

--

Blade continued to watch the flying specks while occasionally looking at the forest ahead to check on distance. He didn't need to pay a whole lot of attention to the road considering how open the area was after all.

"Yeah no kidding..." he mumbled before glancing behind him to make a note of where his sword was. Depending on what they were, he might be needing it. Though he wasn't sure how good he'd be with the cut on his back.

"Here's the big question, since I'm assuming they didn't come from a town." That'd be a safe assumption since something large that flew like that was probably seen as more of a monster, right? "What could live out here that can fly and is not of the avian species?"

Riyo Thought for a moment. She knew the answer to this question. The shape looked vaguely familiar... It was on the tip of her tongue... Nope, she lost it. "Bigger question... What are we gonna do about this?" Everyone was miserable. How could they possibly fight?

"What CAN we do?" Atticus confirmed that he was thinking the same thing... Though, he was getting tired of answering questions with questions.

Watching the sky, Blade thought on the questions Atticus and Riyo asked. The figures were a little easier to see now. He couldn't see exact details still, but he was able to make out horns and large bat-like wings. The horns sorta ruled out batmen.

"Dragons..." he uttered, seeming a little mystified at the thought. Of course, that could potentially mean bad news, depending on if they were hostile, but he personally felt a little excited on the prospect.

"We can try not to pick a fight," he offered. Dragons were known to be rather powerful, and right now the whole group was worn and really not in any condition to be in a tough fight.

"What do we do?" Mitsu didn't know much about dragons. Hell, she didn't even really know any stories. There were just faint memories that told her that dragons were large, easily angered creatures. It wasn't safe to deal with them and they should be avoided if possible. That turned out to be easily enough since they were rare and thought by most to be extinct or purely myth. Now however, myth was becoming reality and was creeping ever closer.

Turning to look at the others for their input on the matter, Mitsu eyed Neko still asleep. It would probably be best to wake him. Moving over to him slowly she knelt in front of him and shook his shoulder. "Neko, Neko you need to wake up."

From the depths of sleep Neko forced his eyes open hearing a voice that sounded urgent. It would be his luck to wake up to a battle or something. After prying open his eyes the first thing that came into focus was Mitsu in nothing more than her light blue undergarments. A little startled Neko jerked back thinking he had done something stupid in his sleep again but then his memory settled in and the heat reminded him why she had nothing on.

"What's going on?" He asked groggily rubbing at his eyes. He had gotten at least a half hour of sleep but it wasn't enough. Sleep deprived, his mind wasn't working the way it should.

"There are people coming....dragons."

Okay, that had his attention. "Dragons?" Pushing himself away from the wall of the wagon Neko moved up front to see for himself. Sure enough, growing ever closer, were four figures in the sky. He could only hope they were friendly, he honestly didn't know a lot about dragons aside from their ability to heal and their use of fire magic.

"Head for the trees," Neko instructed, thankful that the forest was close now. "We can only hope they're friendly, if not at least we'll have the cover of the trees."

----

Kylar's eyes dilated as he focused on the little wagon, his face scrunching in frustration. He had expected panic, fear, and maybe an ounce of hostility...okay he was hoping for it, but he had yet to see it. "They see us, but they aren't doing anything. No weapons....nothing." He sounded disappointed.

Sohki felt as disappointed as Kylar sounded. He was not keen on bringing outsiders into their home, but the elder had ordered it and if they proved not to be violent there was nothing he could do. It was against his code to provoke them into a fight even if he did detest their existence. Filthy vermin.

After staring at the flying figures a little longer, Blade nodded towards Neko before ushering the horses towards the tree line a little faster. If they were hostile, things would not look good for them at all, considering everything.

---

The boys weren't the only ones disappointed. Branka frowned as it appeared that the caravan was trying to retreat into the trees.

"We better hurry up. It'll be a pain flying through the trees after them once they reach the forest," she grumbled while waiting for the ok to go ahead and do just that.
