Now that most of the drama had subsided, Tyler walked about the blissfully quiet courtyard he had seen through the large window opposite the catwalk all the action had happened on. All the plants were dead, and the fountain with a large, stone, angelic figure in the center was dry as a bone. But it was just so... peaceful. The angelic figure was that of a woman. Her wings jutted from her back, and her stone hands partially covered her face, making it look as though she were crying. Her clothing and strands of hair seem to flow behind her in an unfelt wind. Tyler sat on a slightly eroded bench and looked about the courtyard before closing his eyes to collect his many thoughts.

Alice was pulled back by Dinah when she announced that there was nothing. Dinah looked through everything again and sighed in defeat. I told you, taunted Alice. "Yea. I know," replied Dinah. "I was just hoping there'd be something here."
Maybe there's a hidden wall, offered Naomi.
"True, but we're tired. We gotta rest for a while." Dinah stood up and made her way to the nearest chair. She sat down, ignoring the cloud of dust and closed her eyes.

[[I've been accepted...just waiting for my profile to pop up on the first post. I'm Jae and I am the proud controller of: Jaelynn [June/July/Jan] Nice to meet you.]]
Jaelynn had sought solitude in one of the large rooms that she assumed had been a dining room once upon a time. She sat in one of the chairs and started to count down. 3-2-1-- Where the hell are we? July asked in a low, clearly irritated, mutter and Jaelynn sighed. Right on cue, as usual. She hadn't heard from her voices in a couple of hours. Her head was like a chatroom, filled with girls that were all completely different from the other, which usually ended up with one of them starting an argument with the other. It appears to be a dining room, one of probably a few in this huge old-styled house. After we came in... the security mechanisms locked, I believe. We're like sitting guinea pigs in a cage. Jan replied in a neutral tone, as she always did when replying to July. Oh? We're in a pretty house? Let's go exploring, Jaelynn! June said in her little excited voice and Jaelynn set her elbow on the table and propped her head onto her hand.
"I don't plan on going anywhere. I get lovely chills whenever I get a good look at any of the others that are here." Jaelynn said, and she closed her eyes when she heard July's quiet, but lethal voice. I could take care of them, Jaelynn. It wouldn't take long... and we can just burn the place down, right June? July asked and June giggled cheerfully. You mean, make the house pretty with red and orange and gold? I can do that! she said and Jan was silent in this exchange of plans. She never was one for violence. "No. No kills here unless in cases of emergency, July. And June, no playing with your pretty lights until I say so. Got it?" Jaelynn asked. I was so looking forward to the little fox hunt, too. July said, her voice dripping with sarcasm. All right, Jaelynn! June shouted happily, and Jan sighed in relief.

(Hi! And welcome!)
Setting the girl down near Lennea, Sayura cheerfully put her hands on her hips and announced, "I'm gonna get us something to eat all right? You two must be starved by now! I mean I am, and I had something to eat a few hours ago. So just stay here and I'll be back in a few, 'kay?"
Sayura carefully backed away towards the kitchen, noticing that he other girls were in their own little worlds.
Well, what did you expect? They're about as crazy as you are, meaning they have voices in their heads, just like you.
Oh, shut it Dia. You're not helping the situation, Sayura said wearily. She pushed through the doors of the kitchen, shoving a few strands of blonde hair back behind her ear when they dangled in her face. Huffing, she gave up then reached around to the back of her head to retie her loose hair. Finishing that, she resumed her search for food that was actually edible.
She found some cans of soup in one of the cupboards, then took out the pot Tyler had used earlier and put it on the stove. Lets just hope that the gas hasn't run out yet, and that a pyromaniac won't come running in here.
That's not so impossible, considering the house and those lockec in here...

Lennea, recalling that that she needed to clean up all the blood that was on her, stood up and followed Sayura into the kitchen. She tried to silence Lilith and El, even at this point, Angel too, but every sound all three made was like a faint, eeire whisper to her. Shhe turned on the water and soaked a tattered rag and started to pamper up alittle. She watched the blood tainted water flow down the drain quietly.

A sound like metal on metal, like nails on a chalkboard. For some reason, the sound always made Tyler nauseous. He opened his eyes and looked around as if trying to find the source of the unplesant sound. One look through a window proved that none of the house's occupants heard it. Whatever it is, Lucky chimed, It's giving me a headache.Tyler walked quickly to a door opposite the one he had come through, hoping that upon entering the house, the noise would stop. It did. Tyler let out a sigh of relief as he looked about his new surroundings. Two staircases stood opposite each other, ascending to a landing above Tyler's head. As he walked from beneath the overhang, Tyler saw the stairs led to two sides of a circular landing. Tyler could see the ceiling through the gaping hole, and the circular catwalk had doors all along it. The second floor had another flight of stairs.

Lennea finished washing up and decided to leave the two girls. She wasn't hungry nor was she really in the mood to have any social contact. Instead she went into a tiny little room and locked herself in it. She curled up in a corner and started to fall alseep.

Dinah got up and looked at the mess of books at her feet. "You could have been more organized, Alice."
I was. Books that were useless went on the floor, books that were helpful stayed on the shelf.
But there aren't any books on the shelves! complained Gail.
Yea, I know, answered Alice, smug.
Dinah sighed heavily and made her way to the exit. She scanned the books as she went, hoping Alice missed one. Apparently, she did. "Alice! The book you threw at that guy! It's a book on Multiple personalities!"
Well, I figured we all knew what it was but if you need a reminder... then you're stupid.
Dinah rolled her eyes and left the room, taking the book with her. "There could be something in here. You never know."

As he walked from beneath the overhang, Tyler saw the stairs led to two sides of a circular landing. Tyler could see the ceiling through the gaping hole, and the circular catwalk had doors all along it. The second floor had another flight of stairs. Tyler, Lucky said. Don't even think about going up there.Tyler ignored Lucky as he took the flight of steps on the right to the circular catwalk above. From what he could tell, there were seven doors around the circle. "One for each of us..." Tyler mused. But the doors were at the bottom of his to-check-out list. He headed straight for the second flight of stairs and climbed. He came up in the middle of a very long hallway, a door at each end. One door was painted white; the other: black. Tyler headed for the white one first, turning the brass doorknob. It was a bedroom; maybe that of a little girl's. China dolls decorated the shelves and a large, queen sized bed took up at least a quarter of the room. There was nothing suspicious here.... Tyler exited this room and turned to the black door, walking slowly down the hallway, as if wary should something jump out at him. As he reached the black door, he saw that there was an "X" painted on it in deeper black, and a small cross engraved in the doorknob. He opened this door to a sight of horror. A massive pentagram of dried up blood in the center of the room, and a partial skeleton of some sort of animal. Tyler gagged and tried to scream, no sound coming out. Instead, for reasons unknown even to himself, he walked into the room. In the corner behind the door was another mountain of skeleltal remains. Tyler quickly averted his eyes. The bed looked harsh and lumpy, the covers and sheets tattered. Not knowing why, he headed for the closet. His vision changed for a moment to what looked like grainy black and white... as if he were becoming someone else. Who the hell was that? Jackson said, unable to keep the tremors from his voice. Tyler gripped the doorknob of the closet and opened it.... Nothing. He let out a sigh of relief, which was cut short as he saw the outline of a door in the closet's back wall. He pushed on the cut-out spot and it opened outward. Tyler crawled in, looking around in this surprisingly well-lit area. As he came to a small box in the wall, he halted. It was gray, metallic. And, unlike everything else, it wasn't dusty. It had been used recently. A keyhole and a switch decorated the box. When he tried to flip the switch, it didn't work. "I wonder..." he said aloud. It was no use wondering, however, without a key to prove what it was he was wondering. Slowly, he backed out of the crawlspace and stood up, brushing himself off. He exited the decay-scented room, breathing through his mouth, and shut the door behind him, inhaling somewhat fresh air.

Dinah sat on the stairs and inspected the book. "It's been read a lot. Look at the spine. And there's absolutely no dust on it." She opened the book and read.
What's no dust have to do with anything? I threw the damn book! yelled Alice.
Naomi would have shaken her head if she was in control. Alice, it means people were reading it recently. Very recently.
Like the doctors? asked Gail.
"Who knows now please, be quiet. I'm trying to read." Dinah then smiled. "Naomi, take over. You can read faster than any of us." She stepped back and let Naomi take over.

Descending the stairs in the middle of the long hallway with the two opposing doors, Tyler began to make his way around the catwalk, peeking into each room. Nothing suspicious in any of them. He descended the stairs opposite the ones he had come up and stood there for a moment, unsure of what to do. It was then he noticed the door at the opposite end of the large, vacant, black-and-white floor tiled room. He walked towards it, shoes clicking on the linoleum. Opening it, he peered into a greenhouse, with doors on the far wall, and the walls on the left and right. But what was strange was: The plants weren't dead. Someone had been taking good care of them. Oh, come off it, Sheri snapped. The people that took us here wanted to lovely-up the place. "Bite me, Sheri," Tyler said, not knowing the words coming out of his own mouth. If Sheri had had control of Tyler's face, her expression would be one of being taken aback. Well, I never- Shut up, you whiny c*nt, Jackson said, and Sheri finally quieted herself, obviously plotting some sort of revenge. Tyler walked through the greenhouse, surveying almost every plant. Nothing too unusual. He decided he would go beyond this point later when other people were with him. Although the sun was high in the sky (Tyler guessed it was around noon; his watch had stopped working upon entering this place, as his cell phone had), it was creepy being here by himself. Tyler turned and exited the greenhouse, walking across the linoleum of the suspiciously vacant room and through this door, across the courtyard, into what he guessed was the living room, sitting on a sofa that was, again, not dusty. All that walking and fear had tired him out. His eyes drooped and soon, he was asleep.
He awoke in a room he had never seen before... and screamed.

Naomi dropped the book and looked around.
Naomi! What's wrong?! asked Dinah.
In a voice softer than a whisper, Naomi answered. "A scream. I heard a scream."
I did too, said Gail. But I couldn't make out where it came from.
Then finish the book, Naomi, ordered Dinah. There's no point in searching when we don't know who, or where, it is.
Naomi nodded and began to read again, uneasily.

Tyler dashed through the corridors, slamming doors open and shut, tears of fear obscuring his vision. Had he been here before? No, it didn't look familiar. Here? No. Where was he? Tyler let out another scream for help, lost in the massive house, all the while feeling as though someone... or something... were following him. Several times, his vision had turned to that grainy black-and-white. It was then he ran into a set of ascending stairs, which led to a closed wooden door. Tyler ran up them, two at a time, tripping several times, and turned the doorknob, throwing the door open into the kitchen. Tyler collapsed on the floor in hysterics. It was then it realized where exactly he had been. He had been in the basement.

Naomi stopped reading. She tucked the book into her jacket and ran downstairs.
Naomi?! What are you doing? asked a very confused Dinah.
Noise. She ran down and saw Tyler on the floor. He had emerged from the door behind him. She walked up slowly toward him and placed a comfoting hand on his shoulder. Once again, in her soft voice, she spoke. "Are you okay?"

I fell asleep, and when I woke up, I was down-" he pointed to the door from whence he had come "-there. And something was following me." He said this last part in a whisper as he rose. "I think I know how this place got locked up," Jackson said, taking over for Tyler, who didn't know what to do with himself.
