I can never seem to get interested in books assigned at school... Even if it is a good and really interesting book.
I don't think I've ever fully read a book for school I read the begining, then the end... And bs the rest based on class discussions. xD
Zaurak, what book? I've totally wanted to do that before. xP

Bsing is always fun, I've done taht through many an assignment.
The book was called The Third Magic, it was the final book in a trilogy and I had been really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, two major characters from the previous book had just disappeared. They weren't even mentioned. It was like the equivalent of there being absolutely no Hermione and Neville in book 7 with no explanation for it. I swear, there names weren't even mentioned once. Several otehr major characters were totally margginalized! As if that weren't bad enough, there were parts that completely contradicted the first two books, it was written in a totally different tone and went off in an unexpected direction (and not good unexpected, bad-doesn't-make sense unexpected), the characterization just seemed off, the whole thing seemed to move too quick despite being over 300 pages and having loads of pointless passages, there were too many loose ends not tied up and vague promises unfulfilled, and the ending was confusing and thouroughly unsatisfying. I was close to breaking down and crying with despair. It was truly a horrible, horrible ending for what had been a promising series.
