As Jaydn’s fist made contact with Xavier’s left jaw again, Xavier let out a groan. The spot on his face was still sore from when Jaydn had hit him there days earlier. <********! Why is it always that spot. And with the impact that the punch had landed with, Xavier was surprised that nothing was broken. Once he recovered his balance, Xavier closed the distance between them and tackled Jaydn to the ground. Xavier took advantage of the fact that they were both the same size and forced Jaydn down with his weight. Balling up his fist, Xavier punched Jaydn in the same spot Jaydn had been hitting him and thought, Well how do you like it?

Finally registering that Jaydn had spoken, Xavier retorted,
“Well that’s about as likely as Maddox being gay.” He scoffed, still trying with all his might to keep Jaydn down.

Charles sighed as he finished typing up a report for Jaydn. It seemed that the Mafia Prince was in one of his moods again, and Charles would just as well stay away from him; the report would be left for Jaydn so that he didn’t have to come face to face with him. Charles hadn’t been overly busy over the past couple of days, as he delegated work to his team. Their stocks were up, which meant good news of their pay checks over the next couple of days, and Charles was looking to expand their hold on a couple of businesses in some of the neighboring towns. This project needed Jaydn’s approval first, but until Jaydn was calm, Charles didn’t fancy a meeting with the other man.

Charles had found it odd for Kyrin’s disappearance, but figured, as a father himself, that she had gone home to her father for a while. He didn’t dare bring his theory up to Jaydn, seeing as what happened to Xavier the last time that was tried. Charles also was concern for the blue eyed man named James, whom he hadn’t seen much of in the past couple of days, I wonder where he would go? He thought, Perhaps back to his mafia? Charles pushed himself from his desk and stood, brushing off his pants as he went. A nice cup of coffee would be nice. He thought as he looked around at the other men in the room, all of whom were diligently working. ”Why don’t you guys take the rest of the day off, I don’t think there is anything else for you to do here. I will bring in the other shift of men. Enjoy your rest.” Charles said with a smile, and the men returned the smile as they packed up to leave. ”Lock up once you leave, I’m going to be out a while.” He said to his second in charge as he made his way out of the room.

Walking down to the second floor Charles heard the commotion before he saw it and was dismayed that the Matsui brother’s were fighting in the foyer, his only pathway to the kitchen. Deciding it better not to make eye contact, Charles wandered aimlessly down the stairs and then made straight for the kitchen. With Xavier having Jaydn on the ground, it didn’t seem like either of the two were going to come out of it well. There was fresh coffee brewed in a matter of minutes, and Charles was done working for a couple hours. Perhaps I can see what Levi has been doing and maybe he can think of a way to keep Xavier off Jaydn’s case so that he will calm down. He took a sip of his coffee. Yes, Levi and Xavier are close enough that maybe that would work. Because he didn’t think that Maddox could do the job; it was a sad truth in his book.

Since 5am, Miles had been walking around the mansion, working, calling, and sucking down any coffee in the vicinity like some sort of caffeine vampire. There hadn't been too much to do for Jaydn lately, so Miles had given himself things to do. Double, triple, even quadrouple checking the affectiveness and adequacy of the Coyotes' procedures and backplans had most of Jaydn's men outside of the mansion on edge. And because of Miles' own boredom, the men inside the mansion had to put up with his impatient demands. Besides bossing people around, (in the politest of ways, of course), Miles had been paying attention to the others in the house. It was very obvious how the missing mafia princess was giving her cousins a great deal of strain, and she wasn't the only one who seemed to be absent. He found it very irresponsible of her to leave her own men in the dark about her location, and wondered if it was somthing serious on her part. In that case, it's even more of a reason to tell her most trusted followers, right? But she was gone, and noone had bothered to contact the Matsui household about it. It was a troublesome situation. The fact that they were all related made it even worse. Emotional connections only got in the way.

Miles was on his phone and laptop in the kitchen when Charles had come in for some coffee, so he gave him a nod. He had to admit, Charles had a nice way of handling money, and the Coyotes' full wallets were proof of that. After dealing with so many nameless subordinants, here was one person he could actually have a competant conversation with. Miles could hear a commotion in the foyer, but he didn't feel that he wanted to be bothered with it. The tension had been getting to Jaydn's nerves lately, so he was probably just lashing out at someone. Miles finished his conversation with the useless person on the other line and put the phone back into his tailored pocket.

Charles looked up at Miles as the other man entered the room and a faint smile crossed his lips. To Charles, Miles was Jaydn, only less emotional and by far less short tempered. Charles made sure to not listen in on Miles’ phone conversation, but once the other man was done, Charles poured another mug of coffee and offered it to Miles. Then, leaning against the bar Charles nodded his head to the commotion that was occurring outside the kitchen door. ”Those two really go at it don’t they?” The question wasn’t really meant to be answered, as both men already knew what the answer would be, but Charles asked it just as a warming up question. He wanted to figure out what mood Miles was in, and the best way, he found, was to start on the most common ground that they had at that current moment.

Taking another sip of his coffee, Charles turned to a more serious topic, ”Have you heard anything of Kyrin? Perhaps if we were to find her then we could all get back to work. Having Jaydn in this state of mind isn’t in the least helpful.” Another sip, ”What do you suppose would happen to the man who finally breaks down and contacts the Matsui household?” A smile lit his lips.

Miles typed furiously as Charles helped himself to coffee- mulitasking was his speacialty. But it wasn't until he mentioned Kyrin that his fingers abruptly stopped typing. Miles turned his head to look at Charles. Of course he wanted things to settle down. The lack of things to do made him so anxious and irritated that he could have thrown his laptop against the opposite wall. How good it would feel to watch it break into peices....But Miles settled instead with adjusting his glasses and giving an exhasperated smirk. " Well, wouldn't that be nice?"
He didn't mind expressing his open opinion with Charles. It wasn't like the man hadn't seen his bad side before." I've never met Han Matsui myself, so I don't know how he would handle it. But it'd probably be worth the trouble if everything blew over- the tension around here is stifling. Of course, I wouldn't want to be the dead man who informed him though." Miles couldn't help but smile, despite the malice in his voice. He went back to typing. "Who knows. The brat could show up tonight or tomarrow even. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised. The place is a madhouse."

At that moment, Miles heard the tone in his voice and took a breath to collect himself. Don't be irritable. It will get in the way of efficiency.
He took a last sip of his coffee to shut himself up.

Ever since the night at the bar, Nori had become a ghost, floating in and out of rooms absent mindedly and avoiding conversation for the most part. He wasn't in the mood at all to pretty himself up, so he wore almost the same jeans and shirt everyday. He felt partially responsible that Kyrin had alltogether disappeared, even though his optimistic side was telling him it wasn't his fault. Not only had Ky gone missing, but now Jamie was nowhere to be seen as well. Nori had half a mind to find Ian somewhere and ask him about it, but he didn't want Ian to get the wrong idea. So drifting around the mansion suited him just fine, although the melancholy seemed to be contagious around the place lately.

Tension was high, but it had mostly been just mumblings and sighs from the men- at least from what Nori had witnessed. But now there was a loud commotion in the foyer that sounded like the Matsui brothers... this could only mean trouble. Nori snapped out of his trance to glance over the balcany. Just as he had assumed, Jaydn and Xavier seemed to be in a heated dispute, with fists flying. Nori dropped everything he was doing and rushed to the foyer. The other men seemed to just watch as they went at it. "Wh-What's going on?" Nori asked to noone in particular. Likewise, noone replied, but Nori couldn't sit back and watch them act like animals. Without thinking or saying anything, Nori tried to hold back the smaller of the brothers, Xavier. He knew he probably wasn't in his right mind, that interferring would only get him in trouble, ...but he tried anyways.

Charles watched the younger man go about more business and wondered if Miles would ever find it in him to slow down. Charles was like Miles when he was younger, but he had since realized that it was a mistake to work so hard all the time; maybe it was his family that did it to him. A small smile came across Charles’ face, but quickly faded when Miles’ irritation at the world began to show itself. And here he goes again. Charles was often one of the people Miles would show his irritation to whom would just sit and listen and then have something to say about it. Most of the other men would listen to it and then leave it at that, fearing Miles’ wrath almost as much as Jaydn’s own. Sometimes Charles wondered if Miles was the only one in the Coyote’s other then Xavier who wasn’t a little bit afraid of Jaydn. The conclusion that he found himself at was that Miles wasn’t afraid of anyone.

”There is no need for name calling Miles", Charles said in a level tone. He was a little displeased at Miles for talking about a woman in that manner, ”That’s just a childish past time.” He took a slow drink of his coffee, savoring the warm liquid as it warmed his body. As the days started to get colder, Charles found that the mansion was getting colder with it. Perhaps I should call someone about the heat today. Or maybe Xavier would be kind enough when he is done playing. But he left that train of thought alone and turned his attention back to Miles. ”I for one, think that she went home to see her father. I don’t think that she had been feeling well.” The father in Charles was speaking again.

Miles steadily slowed his typing as he listened to Charles. As frustrating it was, he was right about keeping etiquette. But he felt slightly better the more he breathed...so that method really does work...
He continued listening to Charles, and was surprised by his theory. Kyrin, back at the Matsui residence? Was it really as simple as that? "Well...You may be right." he mused, "But even if that's true, ...who's going to go there to check? Jaydn? " It would be an all-or-nothing gamble going to check, but lord knows that only another Matsui would be able to walk out alive if there was bad news. Sounded fun, really ... If Jaydn did go, Miles would like to go with him. If he ever finished pummeling his brother anyways.

Levi crept around the corner of the second floor hallway, and tumbled down the stairs. He was hungry. He snuck around the house, making a solid attempt to be as invisible as possible, and, for the small Irishman, that was quite a feat, and snuck into the kitchen. He grabbed a soda from the refridgerator, and a box of goldfish crackers labeled "LEVI" in large blue permanent ink, and carried both with him. He poked his head into the foyer, looked around, and smiled. "Anyone seen anyone? Know where the missing persons are mayhap? Needing to form a search party? All of the above?" He figured that probably covered all the bases, and shoved a handful of crackers into his mouth, then held the box out to the others.

The punch from Xavier hurt like hell and annoyed Jaydn to no end. Jaydn struggled to both defend and strike back, Xavier having the advantage of gravity. Very suddenly however Xavier appeared distracted in the fight, Nori having grabbed the young Matsui's attention. Jaydn took the moment to push Xavier away and to gather back his balance.

Jaydn's grey eyes blazed as he glared at Nori. If the freakshow wants to redeem itself, it's going about it the wrong way. Since the night of the bar, Jaydn still couldn't accept the idea that perhaps Nori was not a co-conspirator in the crime against Kyrin, not that he had tried specifically to do so. Nori's attempt to end the fight was more a blow to Jaydn's pride than anything else. Scowling, Jaydn's words were sharp with distaste, "Stay out of it, I don't need help from someone like you."

There was a moment of discomfort while Maddox stood awkwardly, listening and watching his brothers attempt to tear each other limb from limb. It was an odd statement for Xavier to make and it made Maddox uneasy with the thought that Xavier knew something that he shouldn't have known. That possibility transformed Maddox's legs into lead, making him unable to even consider stopping the fight.

It was in silent desperation that the passive teen saw members of the Coyotes enter and leave the scene, choosing the wiser course of ignoring the situation. So when Nori walked into the foyer and tried to stop the two Matsui's from destroying each other, Maddox felt a great surge of admiration and appreciation towards the seemingly delicate teen. Nori seemed to take the issue into his own hands which was very brave of him in Maddox's eyes and it relieved Maddox enough so that he could breath again.

When Levi joined the group, Maddox turned to the older man, declining his offer of crackers with a shake of his head. Instead he answered, "It seems we are still in the dark of things. Also, Xavier and Jaydn are having a disagreement." He gestured to the fray, catching at the moment Jaydn's response to Nori's interference. With a sigh, Maddox called to his brother, stepping hesitantly towards the group,
"Jaydn, you're going too far. Please think for a moment what is going on here. There's no reason for you to take it out on Nori." There were two ways Jaydn could have taken to the words of his brother: Either to understand the wrongs of the moment and reconsider what he had done or to misunderstand Maddox's intentions and explode at the quiet boy as well. It would be childish of Jaydn to behave in the second way but Maddox knew that when overstressed, Jaydn tended to behave rather childishly.

"Right... Thanks anyways, Maddox."Levi looked over at Xavier and Jadyn, decided they were big boys and could take care of it themselves, and shoved another handful of crackers in his mouth. He figured Nori might know something, and walked over to him, offering the boy crackers as well. "You know where anyone might've got off to? Because its getting a little high tense in here, you know, with everyone looking for that girl.. Uhh... Kyrin, right? Yeah. With her gone, and stuff. Like to get it all sort out soon enough. Maybe I'll ask Karma. Sometimes he knows stuff and never tells anyone a'cause he thinks its obvious or something. Not all us can read minds or whatever it is he's done."

For Karma, not much had really gone on after the night at the bar. He honestly hadn't really noticed the disappearance of some of the mafia members. It really didn't concern him so he didn't get involved. Work had been steadily coming in and that had kept him more than busy. Karma was always kind of thrilled when it came to work considering that he got to deal with weapons and such. Still though, it was work and when he got time off, he really took time to relax and...do nothing. So when loud shouts from somewhere woke him up from his well deserved and needed rest, there was hell to pay.

Stumbling out of bed, he made his way downstairs to where he could hear the shouts coming from. Karma, still not fully awake nor comprehending what was going on, screamed very loudly, "SHUTS UP! KARMA IS TRYING TO SLEEP! YOU WOKE KARMA UP!"

Ian's bitterness toward Jamie had only grown since his magical disappearance the night of the bar. Ian couldn't stand for the rather childish act that Jamie seemed to constantly pull when things just weren't going his way or whatever. It didn't really help either that work seemed to be non-existent ever since their so called boss had also magically disappeared too. Without work or things to keep his mind off the situation the emotions of anger and guilt just kind of built up into a boiling pot or disgust toward the whole situation.

Ian hadn't really done much since that night. Without work, he just wandered around the mansion cleaning things or just making food for anyone that wanted it.

That morning, Ian hadn't even felt like coming out of his room. Wallowing in self-disgust and anger, Ian really didn't even feel like moving out of bed. However, the shouts coming from downstairs coaxed him out of his prison of covers. Wondering if perhaps someone had come back, Ian quickly got dressed and came downstairs. He was a bit disappointed to find that it was only Jaydn and Xavier seemingly in a fight but what over, Ian really wasn't sure and wasn't sure if the wanted to know. Curiosity got the best of him though and he quickly latched on to Nori. "Um...Hi...Nori? What's...going on?"

Charles took another drink and was about to answer Miles when Levi wandered in. A smile spread across his face, ” Ah Levi, I was just about to give you a call. Thought maybe you could calm Xavier’s nerves.” He said, as he declined the crackers. ”And sadly, no. I haven’t seen James in days. No sign of Ky. And the big guy,” He paused to think, ”Draven, I haven’t seen him either.” He then watched Levi talk to Maddox and then Nori.

Charles thought it a good idea to stay out of the quarrel between the brothers, but when he heard Jaydn yell again, he set his coffee mug down on the counter and made his way out into the foyer. The scene was an amazing one to him. They make my children look sane. Nori was attempting to hold back Xavier, who looked as though he were about to get himself out of the smaller man’s grasp. And it appeared that Jaydn had been yelling at Nori. This made Charles narrow his eyes; it was one thing for Jaydn to yell at Xavier, whom he‘d been in an argument with, but it was another thing to yell at Nori when he was only trying to help. It seemed that if anything were to happen to Nori, though, that he would be alright seeing as he had Ian and Levi at his sides. But with no one restraining Jaydn, and with Xavier only held for the moment, Charles was concerned. He sighed heavily, and then sighed again when an aggravated Karma yelled from near the stairs. This needs to stop.

And then Charles did something that he rarely did, he yelled. ”Cut this out! If you are concerned about those who are currently ’missing’ then do something about it.” He turned on Jaydn, ”What has gotten into you? You are the leader of the Coyotes for god sakes. And I, for one, am sure that Mr. Matsui would frown upon your actions here today. You are seven years Xavier’s senior! Why are you acting like you are four?!” He then turned his attention on Xavier, whom at this point had shrugged Nori off and was giving Jaydn a death glare. ”And Xavier, grow up. Stop egging your brother on. It isn’t becoming!” With the last statement he all but gave Xavier an order, ”I’m sure your time would be better spent looking for Kyrin then staying here and causing trouble.”

His tone was lower as he turned once more to Jaydn, ”My suggestion to you would be to talk to your Uncle.” He shook his head and walked over to Nori, and the others surrounding him, Xavier moved away from him. ”You are a good man to try to stop the fighting,” He said low, for only Nori’s ears, ”But Jaydn isn’t kind to those who hurt his pride, be careful.” And then he smiled. After that he turned to Ian, whom he had seen around James the most. ”Do you think it would be possible that Miss Kyrin and James have gone away somewhere together?” The idea hadn’t even crossed his mind until he saw Ian that morning and the thought that maybe they both weren’t somewhere by themselves was a comforting one. ”Let me know if I can help in anyway bringing him back, you two seemed close.” He then stepped away from the group and waited to see if his words had had any effect at all.
