Gasping with relief she ran over to the dragon and gave him a hug, an unusual show of affection from the drow. Her mind was filled then with that mental shout which sent her reeling away. And before she could clear it completely a banging was heard from the front of the shop.

"Hurry Imo! We have to get out of here quickly! I promise you can rest back at Yolanda's, but we have to go now..." Speaking quickly, Lashantha walked to the back door and proceeded to push it wide open.

The dragon still wasn't quite in the prescence of mind to speak the human tongue properly. Twisting his head (which was resting on his forelegs) around to focus on Lasha, he blinked sleepily before (more gently, this time) sharing all of his feelings of exhaustion and want for sleep and just plain inability to move. He did, however, manage to comprehend her sense of urgency somewhere along the way... With an audible groan and swish of his tail Imolaured managed to stagger to his feet, standing shakily for a few moments before attempting a step in the right direction. His foot slid as it landed in a puddle of meat juices; within seconds he was again sprawled on the ground. Ughhh...

Droping her head she went to the dragon again, lifting up his head while she spoke calmly

"Imo, come on, you need to do this or we'll both end up under the knife. We need to warn Yolanda."

Looking directly into his eye, she opened herself, channeling what magical energies she had to the young dragon in an attempt to strengthen him a bit.

Ravenar had already posistioned himself inside the front of the shop, beside the counter, which lay the body of the old woman.

As expected, Arminas and his hooded Mage District Guards came through the door after pounding on it rather superfluously. Arminas gazed with rather satisfied and accusatory eyes. "Well, well, Ravenar. You've blood on your hands now..." The half-dragon guard said with a grin.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Ravenar stated cooly.

"There's no point in hiding the body, Ravenar, we know of the murder... We monitor everyone's heartbeat by magical means, and we know her heart stopped quite a few minutes ago; but we were too wrapped up in other affairs to attend to this petty murder." Arminas was still grinning his toothy grin.

"And what 'other affairs' could be more important than murder?" Ravenar asked suspiciously.

"The affairs of the Mage District Guard are no concern of yours, peasant." Arminas said with a dismissive wave. "We know you are guilty for the murder of Canina, the woman who owned this shop. You will come with us for execution or you will die on the spot."

"I knew you were head of the Guard, Arminas, but I did not know that you were both guard, judge and executioner." Ravenar said with a smirk.

"I leave the executing to a person whose hands are more suited to the task, you know, unless you resist." Arminas hissed. "And even a half-dragon's magic is enough to penetrate the Drow magical resistance! You know this well enough." Arminas' voice sounded like a serpent's.

"Yes, indeed, I do." He still had no clue if Imo and Lasha had gotten away, yet. But then again, if they hadn't, then he needed to get out of here as fast as possible, so they wouldn't be spotted upon their exodus.

"Very well, Arminas, you have won. Take me away." Ravenar offered his hands.

"Good, I will look forward to your execution date..." Arminas produced a gem similar to the one Yolanda had given Ravenar. "And it looks like that will be tomorrow at dawn. I'll have to retire early so I can get my beauty sleep. Wouldn't want to look bad for our last look at each other..." Arminas snickered, slapping a pair of shackles over Ravenar's wrists. Runes flared up on the shackles. They not only bound Ravenar's magic but would not be affected by magic themselves. Only the key could open them; no manner of magic could.

"Guards, we have the culprit. Let us leave." Arminas said to his entourage of hooded Mage District Guards, and in a few clouds of dust, all of them, including Ravenar, were gone.

((BWAR HAR HAR! Yush, I'm back XD))

Yolanda quietly looked at the sky. They had been gone quite awhile to find food. She was quite unaware of what had happened to the three. In fact, it hadn't even crossed her mind that there were, indeed, two shops with a dragon on their sign. One that sold exotic meats and the other which was owned by a dragon.

Of course, this didn't occur to her since she had specifically told Imo to go left, not right. ((Haha, I didn't bother to check ._.)) Turning back to the parchment in front of her, she continued to read and take notes on various advanced magickal enchantments that may be of use to her in the future. Rapid growth of plants, Part IV.

Yawning, she stretched and decided to take a break. After grabbing her staff, she went back into the main foyer and sat down on one of the many overstuffed chairs, awaiting the return of Ravenar, Lasha and Imo.

Just out of curiosity, she tried to search out the magickal presense of Ravenar, since she knew that he had the jewel. A few minutes passed. Nothing. It was like his magick had been contained. She tried a little harder. Still nothing. Odd, why would he be hiding his powers?

((Ah hah hah...yeah, that sucked xX))

The dragon shook his head in suprise and blinked rapidly at the unexpected influx of energy. She feels like moonlight... His eyes rolled wildly for a moment as his body worked to absorb the strange incoming magic.

Stretching his neck as if to work out the kinks, the dragon stood with little ado--though his feet were still unsteady. In a way he almost felt as if he was seeing the world from Lasha's perspective, if not her eyes. The... the colors were different. And the air smelled a little odd.

At Lasha's past and present urging, he slowly, carefully, so as not to trip, began his trek to the door. Somehow subconsciously he knew that, in his present state, his body would hungrily use up Lasha's donation; it would not be long before his energy crashed again...

Ravenar had lost conciousness shortly after opening his eyes from the transportation.

He awoke in a stone cell, still shackled, the runes on the shackles glowing fiercly at him. He stood, having been slumped against the back wall of the cell, his equipment removed, somehow. Someone had probably lost a hand to Wylth and probably been bound up by Valbyl... but that was their problem.

A Mage District Guard walking by with a bandaged hand was the answer to one question. The glowing eyes beneath the hood narrowed as he turned, patrolling.

He stretched, groaned, and then walked to the gates. "Guard." Ravenar said more than asked. "How long have I been unconcious?"

The guard snorted. "Only a few minutes. Don't worry, you didn't miss much. Feeding time's in about an hour, so don't fret. After that you're free to go to sleep, but you're being executed at dawn. People are spreading the word already, you know. Those that hate you. A good many do. Arminas does. I do. The Mage District Guard does." The guard laughed. "So just quiet down, or I just might 'spill' your dinner tonight." He threatened.

Ravenar was more than able to go for a night without food, but he decided that it would be easier that he not. He blinked a few times. "Are there any other drow being held here?" Ravenar asked.

"What? We don't keep filth like your kind in here for more than a night. After that you're a few inches from the ground and silent. Understand?" The guard said. "No more talking! I got a job to do!" The guard said, angry.

Ravenar nodded, satisfied. That meant Lasha hadn't been captured... good. At least she had gotten away with Imo. Lasha would've probably been killed on the spot, due to the fact that she was a stranger. But at least Ravenar had a few hours to get his head straight...

Meanwhile...

Word of Ravenar's public execution tomorrow at dawn had not been spread yet, as there hadn't been a flyer put out, yet. However, one would be put out soon by one of the Mage District Guards...

Feeling slightly light-headed now, Lasha kept that channel of energy open while she walked slowly with Imo.. Then it came to her..

"Yolanda.." She said softly and let the flow of her energies ebb a bit while she continued to help the dragon as much as a drow could and let a smaller channel flow elsewhere. Within a moment, a silvery thing greatly resembling a butterfly appeared and Lashantha told it where to go before it shot off and Lashantha once again let her full energies go to the dragon.

Yolanda would help, the mage was powerful and had influence...

Ravenar regarded the tray of slop with little more than scorn. Now he wished he had talked to the guard more. He couldn't move far with the shackles on, and his magic was bound. He had no physical strength, nor could he augment that strength.

His belongings had been stripped from him... his bracer, his dagger, his staff, the things he had bought, and the gem Yolanda had given him.

His crimson eyes narrowed. But he sighed, and his eyes closed. At least Imo and Lasha had gotten away... Regarding the tray that was sitting before him on his bed once again, he kicked it off with his bare foot, as they had taken his shoes, the grey and green ooze that they called food splattering on the floor of his cell. It didn't matter. Nobody would clean it up, and he would only be in here for one night... He prayed for a miracle.

Meanwhile...

Deghar and Valgard had closed their shops for the approaching night, deciding to have a drink at the local tavern, which was dubbed lovingly by its owner the Spry Gnome, a sign outside displaying a jolly, red-capped gnome doing some sort of jig. Valgard and Deghar were just finishing another round (they had lost count by now) when a Mage District Guard came in and attatched a flyer to the wall, and left. Drukenly, Deghar stumbled down from his chair and went to see what it was, tearing it from the wall. Sadly, he couldn't read with the alcohol blurring his vision, and he cast it out the door, the wind blowing it away. "Sshtupid fesshtivalsh... who needsh 'em?" The drunken duergar said with a silly grin, wandering back over to his chair in front of Valgard.

As the wind blew the curled parchment down the street, a stronger gust picked it up higher, blowing it onto the vacant balcony of Yolanda's home. Afterwards, another gust blew it inside, into the foyer, put upside down upon the table.

Upon this parchment was Ravenar's face and name, crime and time of execution, and also location of his execution. Dawn, in the Mage District Square, where they always did the executions, though there were few. Everyone would come to watch...

(Mwarharhar... xd I am the lord of things that are extremely coincidental...)

((No kidding eh? XDDDDD))

Yolanda had drifted off to sleep for a moment when a cold wind blasted through the house. Shivering and being awoken from her pleasant rest, she realized that the door in the upper balcony had been left over. After stretching, she sat up, ready to go upstairs and close the door. Then, perhaps, she could go out looking for Ravenar, Lasha and Imo.

Something caught her attention. A parchement, face down on the table. Well, it obviously wasn't there before. Was it one of her notes? Maybe she'd brought it with her and just forgotten... Nevertheless, she flipped it over and scanned the page.

Within moments, her eyes grew wide. What?! Ravenar... Though he rarely caused trouble, many in the Mages District didn't like him, simply for the fact that he wasn't exactly being buried in gold coins. So, naturally, he stood out as a target and Yolanda was sure that he didn't do what he was accused of. Brutal murder with malicious intent? Cold blooded monster? Black skinned asassin? Definately not...

Grabbing her staff, she realized, then, that she couldn't go out until Imo and Lasha returned.

She hoped that they hurried...

Just then, a silvery butterfly fluttered into the hall. Yolanda didn't know where it came from, but assumed it was a sign from either Lasha or Imo. It couldn't have been from Ravenar, since his powers seemed to have been sealed. Impatiently, she awaited the return of the two so that they could formulate a plan to rescue Ravenar.

It was some time before Imo and Lasha managed to get all the way back to Yolanda's place again. The dragon had been starting to drag during the last few blocks, his magic-deprieved body rapidly sucking in every scrap that Lasha was generously doleing out. Need... sleep...

The dragon stopped as they reached the doorway to her house, quickly growing too apathetic to proceed. Isn't this close enough...? His knees were starting to tremble as he stood uncertainly.

((Short 'cause I couldn't remember if there was anything special about Landa's doorway and didn't have time to search for the answer back in the thread... XD))

Feeling equally weak and strained, the drow gave the dragon a tired smile and nodded before saying in a hushed, tired voice.

"Yes, Good job little one.." Cutting off the little magic she had left from the dragon, Lashantha stood up and knocked on the door feebly before leanding against the doorframe, feeling as if sleep would be a good thing as well. She whispered to the door..

"No... must stay awake... Yolanda... help.." That last word came out as if it was ripped from her. Never had she said that word in her life, and it sounded foreign yet appropriate to the drow's ears. 'Ravenar needs our help, therefore, we need Yolanda to help us..' The logic was undeniable to Lasha as she waited for the mage. She had to knock, since she felt too weak to even turn the door-handle.

((Do you mean, "Must stay awake"? Why would you want to stay away?))

Hearing the soft knock, Yolanda rushed to the door and unlocked it. Standing, or half standing, there were Imo and Lasha. Relieved, she quickly summoned up a few clouds to carry them inside. She couldn't very well lift a dragon... The clouds set them down upstairs in their respective beds. Best to let them sleep for now, they looked exhausted.

Grabbing her staff and being sure to lock the door, Yolanda quickly scribbled down a note before heading out to find out more about Ravenar. Whatever he did, she was sure he was being set up. Ravenar was not a criminal. He couldn't be. She'd known him long enough to know that. As an afterthought, she brought some bread with her. She'd known the food in prisons to be...less than pleasant.

Her steps carried her to the mages prison. It was specially designed to hold dangerous magickal creatures and mages. Physically impossible to be broken out from. She walked up to the nearest guard.

"Excuse me, sir, do you know where I could find the drow, Ravenar?" she asked. Yolanda was a prominent member in the Mages district, more powerful than most and also with more than a few allies. Not someone that you wanted to make trouble with.

"I heard that he was being kept here."
