I'm Kumoru, and I've always thought Jules Verne was spiffy, but I've only just started to /really/ get into the whole steampunk subculture. I like to draw and RP here on Gaia; IRL, I study East Asian history and culture, and computers. At the moment, I've got particular interest in steam-style costuming, but the etiquette and sort of "feel" have always been things I've found interesting.

My motto:
History/literature/imagination > Jail bait/creepy novel
Meaning steampunk is a healthy alternative to gothic lolita.
I just want a puffy skirt and waist coat. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to touch the sewing machine
stressed
But... yes. Steam Punk is shiny. It captures my imagination and makes me feel all bewildered like.
So... hi!

Hello everyone, My name's Mathin-the-Mistborn, or just Mathin... or Nick... Anyways, my real name is Nicholas Rafidi and I live in Fresno, CA. I plan to soon start modding and bulding some steampunk themed gadgets soon and on top of that, I'm absolutley enthralled with Steampunk in general. Clothes, Music, Literature, Shows, you name it, I love it!
My current Steampersona is an eccentric scientist who I still haven't named or given a background story. Think Hubert Farnsworth from Futurama, but Steampunked up and in his late twenties.
Thanks to anybody who bothered to read this, I hope to be working along side you soon!
Dream in Steam, Nicholas William Rafidi

'ello! Jenny, 20-something who only recently started getting into the Steampunk genre. I'm not a big fan of dress-up and role-playing, but I love the books and art that come out of this genre, and I adore the DIY aesthetic.

Hello all!
Name's Sssargon, duh. I've also gone by Sssarbot, and on occasions Sssargy. If that's too long for you when posting, refering to be as Sss, Sargon, or Sssarg/Sarg is fine. I haven't been into steampunk very long, but I stumbled across it while looking at some computer parts that were recrafted in a steampunk style. I'm looking for some good steam books to read, so suggestions would be awesome.
Erm.. Rock Steam on! Cheers!

I'm Chris, 19 and studying English literature at the University of Stirling. I'm a chronic loser in all walks of life and harbour that distinctly British love for the underdog. Although I'm originally from Belfast, I'd call Scotland my home.
Other than Steampunk, I enjoy:
Music (Funk, Jazz, House, R&B, Hip-Hop, Rock, Indie, Pop- Mainly Funk at the moment!)
Cinema (Anything and everything, my favourite films are- City of God, Do the Right Thing and Foxy Brown. Blaxploitation is a favoured genre.)
I'm white Irish, before people get confused.

Ello, I'm Luna, an aspiring mechanic and tattoo artist. I have a thing for destroying items to see how they work, and then putting them back togethor or making something different out of it. I recently started getting more and more infatuated with Steampunk and looked deeper into it. Err...I guess I'd fall more into a Cowpunk/Steampunk and like the darker side(If that makes any sense) and ended up with my own self interpretation....and I have many...MANY dreams........dreams of things...things that run...things that get explodeded by a Railgun. The idea of creating things old fashioned with a twist is fascinating.Theres so much more that I'd like to learn and hope that will happen here, and maybe some one could give me advice on how to prepare a monocle without stabbing someones eye out sweatdrop
Btw....if you need contact.....Lulus the word

Hello everyone. I am poor at introductions so I will keep this brief. You may call me Whisper or Syndrome, or anything that does not possibly bend my gender. I would like to participate in roleplaying but I have low confidence in my skills. I am pretty sure a lot of wonderful people reside in this guild. Please take care of me.

Good evening to you, everyone. I am Shotgun, and I am rather new to the wonderful world of Steampunk, and even newer to Gaia. I really look forward to taking to more people who share such a wonderful similar interest.

The names Nucifera. Feel free to call me Nuce, Nuc, Nuci, etc. I'm not quite sure what got me into Steam punk, but I am pretty sure it had something to do with my fascination with the Victorian era, history, pirates, and air ships. I like to consider myself an artist...and a lot of my artwork have an underlying steam punk theme. It's sort of like second-nature now to somehow incorporate this fashion/interest/lifestyle into my art. Well, I am glad to finally find an active steam punk community, and I can not wait to meet everyone here.
