Hey, whats up. I'm metalhead1988, I play guitar in a wicked metal band. I own a bc rich warlock, It's the most beutiful guitar in the world. I also possess a Metallica guitar pick given to me by Kirk Hammet at the October 2004 Metallica concert in Ottawa, Ont, Canada. It is my prized possession as I was a huge Metallica fan, the novelty kinda wore off a bit, but I still enjoy some of their wicked riffs and solos. St.Anger sucked!! Ah well, back to me. I am Canadian and I go to school, I'm studying to be a software engineer (programmer), t'is pretty boring.

and I am a show producer and bands Manager.
I know lots about metal, especially about
the local scene up here. I like death metal, grindcore, swedish and melodic death metal. Some black metal I can enjoy. But I am open to everything I dont know, for I like to learn about the huge metal community. I host a metal radio show online as well. You look for metal, here I am!

Hey guys, I'm new, just got on yesterday. I've got a list of favourite bands in the favourite bands thread, so I won't worry about posting that here. My favourite sub-genres of metal are Power Metal, Folk Metal, Viking Metal, some Progressive Metal, and Death Metal (although, I prefer the technical death, like Atheist and Cynic). I enjoy some metalcore stuff, and adding any combinations of the words 'Epic', 'Symphonic', or 'battle' to those genres doesn't hurt, either.
I play keyboards in a progressive metal band. We used to be called 'Liquid Reality', but we're going through a name change right now. We're looking at 13th Overture, and a couple others. We've got a lead guitarist who also writes the songs, and a drummer, and we're looking for a bass player, and a new vocalist. (We've been through several who sucked a**)

I grew up listening to Metal so it was sort of worn into me. I am now the Bassist and Temporary Vocalist of a new Heavy Metal Band. I also write lyrics. The way our songs sound aren't just the influence of one person. Our band sits for hours and puts their own into each part. My main influences growing up were Ozzy Ozbourne, Metallica, Guns n Goses, White Snake, Lynard Skynard, Poison, and many more that memory fails to recall. I listen to a wide veriety of rock but I neglect any of the new bands like My Chemical Romance and Greenday for the simple fact that they ******** Suck. Not many new bands have true talent. I will give Mudvayne some credit though they seem to be one of the better known to society bands out there.

Hey, I'm Hallows_Eve. I'm 15 and live on the East Coast. If you don't know, my name came from the thrash band "Hallows Eve" biggrin I'm into most metal, except Gothic, Doom and Nu. Thrash is my favorite by far. Overkill is my fav. band, followed by Death and Slayer. I've actually met Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth, D.D. Verni, Linsk, Gustafson and Lipnicki before. I met Blitz and Verni at the same time at one of their concerts in New York. I met Linsk and Lipnicki outside my second Overkill concert. I met Gustafson when he wasn't with Overkill anymore, but when he was in the unsigned band "Response Negative". Anyways, I skate a lot, I always skate either AWS or Burton. Atm, my best trick is only a kickflip, but I'm working on a 180 Flip and Heelflipping. I smoke cigs, but nothing illegal.. anymore rolleyes . Anyways, I'm a Freshman, and currently failing half my Highschool classes. Soo.. Sup Everyone? razz

Hey everyone..The names Shamir from Puerto Rico but you can call me SlayeR. SlayeR is my favorite band and I own the complete collection of CD's they've ever released,including their DVD's. I even have a SlayeR Melodic symphony covers CD with Cellos and violins and all sorts of melodic stuff as well as the Slaytanic Slaugther series with Death and Black Metal bands doing SlayeR covers. Well enough of that! I play the drums in two local bands here in PR. I play drums with KM which is a Depressive Deathcore band, but we really play Thrash, Metal, Death, Grind, Core and sorts.
