The old man more than cheerfully proclaimed he would do so, and took the other bowl back to the stove. And so, Inori took up his newly reheated bowl of ramen... The one he had originally tackled and failed to wholly consume The miso were mockingly staring up at him (he could've almost sworn the dents in the ending folds almost made little snickering faces). One might be convinced that Inori had a vivid imagination, but well, he wouldn't think so. Besides, his eyes feel so puffy right now he didn't think they could even shed any more tears from consuming this wretched substance.

Thus he tackled the ramen with an inward grimace, and renewed determination, all the while imagining this to be just as bad as having to drink cough medicine when he had last been sick. Well, who was he kidding? This pretty much was indeed medicine, only at least medicine had a blissfully odd taste that you can't even place as particularly assaulting on the tongue. He certainly hoped Shippo won't ask for comments after they are done eating, because his already inflamed mouth might not have very nice things to say.

Just when he thought the miso in the bowl couldn't get any more insulting, when he next touched the bowl, with a yelp Inori let go of the bowl as if it suddenly burned his fingers. The bowl tipped dangerously, his hands shot forward, but it wasn't a swift enough save and the soup spilled all over the table, the gooey contents began to make a slow trail down the table. His eyes narrowed in suspicion, as Inori nursed his fingers, glaring furiously at the ruined bowl of ramen.

"What's wrong lad?" Asked Shippo out of concern, his head extending over Inori's again to survey at the mess. "Oh..." Returning to the kitchens quickly, the old man just as swiftly hovered over Inori's head again, before proceeding to clean up the spill. "I see it was a little too sizzling warm?" Inquired the old man good-naturedly as he attended to the accident.

"Yeah..." Inori's words were slowly thoughtful. "Maybe...ojii-chan..."

He didn't admit it to Shippo, but he could've sworn he had seen an electrical spark. Also, static electricity would never be so blatantly visible not to mention even if it was, it would be blue and not rather yellow. He had done a science project on static electricity before for school, and granted due to that, had to make tests in the dark. So therefore, he did knew at least that much, and covering over what Nero had briefly annotated of Ninjutsu back at the library, it was pretty difficult not to make an open accusation.

At that moment, the stranger shinobi from earlier even seemed to make even more of a pointed effort to talk louder in reply to Nero. Inori narrowed his eyes, suspicious, as surely the only other customer here - the kunoichi who was quietly attending to her own dinner - had no personal reasons to attack him. In fact, having finished eating, she handed her bowl and tray to a grateful Shippo, before politely excusing herself after paying. His glare bored holes at Taka's head - if glares could kill, Taka would be a pile of goo like the sticky mess of a ramen soup made on the wooden table only mere moments ago.

Nero grinned. "Maybe when we finish getting your ingredients, Inori could have a celebratory bowl of that super spicy ramen, eh?" He suggested, sarcastically.

Inori was clearly unhappy, and his mood didn't seem to be improving. Nero cheerfully continued to eat his ramen, hoping he'd be done soon. He didn't know how much more he could eat.

"What kind of ninja are you? Could you teach us some stuff? I mean...learning is always good." Nero said, with a mouth full of food.

Nero grinned, it was the home stretch, he was almost finished with this spicy ramen. He reached for his glass to take a sip of water, and decided not to. He would finish strong. Strong like the way Inori should be, but wasn't. He wasn't going to let Inori have any pride.

With a final slurp, he sucked down the spicy ramen, and then burped loudly, to demonstrate to Inori that he was done.

Yeah, what kind of shinobi are you. Thought Inori bitterly, having no idea at all that Nero only recognized Taka because the other was currently quite famous in the village. Some shinobi... Thought Inori sarcastically. ...to attack kids, should get sued. He was fairly certain as he didn't graduate the frigging Academy yet, he was still considered a civilian by official status, and thereby he still had access to the rights that protected children. Like he cares about the "to-be" clause. That comes later, and as the government themselves said the Academy was a coming-of-age of sorts, no matter how duly overaged Inori was then technically he still wasn't subjected to shinobi law.

When Nero replied to the other, Inori's eyebrow twitched. Just who said he was helping, hunh? He was not helping that blackmailing duck rump of a b*****d. With a huff, he forgot to even say "arigatou gozaimasu" as Shippo handed him what was priorly Nero's reheated bowl of super-spicy miso ramen. But then again, if he had known the fact, he would probably rue ever taking the ramen the shop master made extra spicy just for the young Fubuki whom loved such foods.

Besides, it wasn't his problem the stupid ditching principal (who had skillfully averted his earlier question also) forgot to tell them there was an evening lesson. This couldn't even be considered reasonable blackmailing, snide b*****d. Like they say, right? Ignorance is bliss, so, they shouldn't have to account for that Saitou Andou's error. As Inori fumed, for some reason draining the bowl of the spicy soup was easier than it would've been mere minutes ago. His gaze was menacingly fixed on Taka's head, keeping unblinking watch to make sure the other didn't try anything funny again.

The look on Inori's face pretty much screamed I know it was you!

But then his eyes started hurting, and in order to not threaten a blood vessel there to pop - it would hardly be aesthetically pleasing - Inori stopped and hastily blinked his eyes several long moments. Damn, his eyes were feeling dry, and he wasn't even sure if this was a side effect of eating spicy foods or not. Tentatively, his tongue swirled around the inside of his mouth, checking for any obvious signs of inflammation. If there had been a budding bundle of pain, he would forfeit the rest of the bowl to Shippo, the shop master's tears or not irregardless.

By this time, Nero had already finished four whole bowls of ramen, and Inori was at least glad that the number had been cut down to one half bowl of torture left for himself. But then again, he cannot consider himself truly fortunate, as he have to still finish it.

Even though he was maintaining a brave front now - by maintaining a grimace so there was no room for tears to leak from his usually large eyes - so slowly, so painfully, the soup disappeared. He could feel the burning trail make its way down his throat so irately slowly, and then his stomach cried aloud again at the abuse as the gooey mess of seasoning made it protest in pain. However, now that the deadly soup was gone, there were only the miso and noodles left, and thus Inori consoled himself with such a fact.

Now that the soup wasn't there to season the noodles further to oblivion, it made eating the noodles much easier. And this is indeed what Inori did first, with a long slurp he consumed the noodles, before more sourly attacking the leftover miso. He naturally hated the miso more, not because he hated vegetables because he usually adored their crispiness when fresh, but his dislike of the miso comes from not only the obvious fact of their sogginess but also because they still held tall-tale remnants of the soup.

When the emptied bowl was finally set aside, much to Shippou's delight, Inori's head also met the table.

"Ugh..."

He only didn't say he was quite feeling the meal still, because Nero would only have more material as basis to tease him for.

"Sure I could teach you some things, but I'll only do it if you help me gather those ingredients." Taka said, mostly, to Nero. Though he said he would teach them, he mainly just wanted those ingredients so he could have that ramen. Though he wasn't totally against teaching them, though he hadn't liked the assignment, being a teacher wasn't so bad. Besides the Council refused to assign him a squad, no matter how man time he'd applied. Perhaps he had found a way past the council, but for now he was just thinking about that new ramen dish.

Through the haze of pain, he heard voices. Mostly that stranger person, though it seemed Nero was discussing something with him too. Inori groaned softly. He didn't really care, he just wanted his protesting stomach to feel better. However, soon enough his interest perked. He lifted his head from the table.

"You'll teach us?" Repeated Inori tonelessly, a suspicious look appearing in those green eyes. "What do you get out of it?"

But such a question was rather self-answered already, wasn't it? So this person would want a new dish for dinner in return for them helping him. However, how was they to know he would keep his word?

"How do we know you won't just ditch us afterwards." Added Inori, with a raised brow and crossed arms.

"We don't know the Academy fundamentals, and, it's getting late. Why should we risk our lives for a promise that might not even be kept?" Those words were quite serious, he wasn't even sure if Kirigakure had exactly a policing force beyond their residing shinobi.

Nero yawned. "Nah, he won't ditch us. I have faith he'll follow through." Nero said, standing up.

He stretched for a few seconds before taking a sip of his water, finishing the glass off.

"Anyways....what kind of ingredients do you need?" He said, curious. He was hoping they'd be easy to get, so that they could get to the training faster. They had a lot to learn, especially considering they didn't really want to go to class any time soon.

"Plus, even if he doesn't follow through, it's good practice. The more time doing stuff, the better....I think..." Nero said, shrugging.

Whilst the two boy talked amongst themselves Taka turned around and gave a low whistle, and soon a bird flew into the stall. The mottled black hawk landed on Taka's now outstreched arm and began to stare intently at Taka. Taka laughed lightly at the bird, most may be mildly annoyed by the unblinking bird, but Taka rather enjoyed them. "Tomodachi I need you to deliver a message, ok?" Taka said sounding halfway serious, as he quickly wrote a note and put it in the bird's letter holder. "To Misa, ok?" The bird gave a simple nod and with a little push from Taka flew off to deliver the message. Now walking towards the exit, Taka turned back to the two boys. "Are you coming or not?"

Inori stopped arguing with Nero almost immediately. The look in those green eyes were still suspicious, but after a long moment, surprisingly, they softened to a rather neutral light. His only response to Nero's assurance was that of a somewhat nonchalant shrug. With that, he took to observing the stranger shinobi, watching as the other addressed a bird. A flicker of fascination filled him, and in wonder, Inori muses to himself. He heard of stories, how shinobi far surpasses any other in training animals... There was something about the mystical energies shinobi could control that seemed to soothe even usually wild beasts. He wonders for a moment if perhaps one day he would be able to accomplish that as well?

Then that shinobi stopped, and addressed them. His trail of thoughts were interrupted, but Inori showed no signs of surprise.

"We are."

He did surprise himself in that his tone did not at all waver.

Nero sat there, engrossed in his own thoughts, staring with visually apparent, yet non-existent fascination, at the wall. He stared blankly at it, ignoring the conversation going on between the Kage and Inori, and slumping down slightly.

He sat there for a few minutes, his mouth open, his head resting on his arm, because of the position he was in, causing him to appear almost lying down, while seated.

He yawned, still entranced by nothing. He heard Inori say something, and then finally snapped back to reality. "Hey, wait for me!" He said, as he hurriedly ran after the two, catching up with them and following them to the shoreline.
