"HELP ME! ...******** cops. BELIEVE IT!"
Ezriel strained for more light, wondering at the possibility of casting a fire spell or two for light.

[AHAHAAAAAA]
Hm...that's funny. He couldn't...well, even think of warmth. Come to think of it, he couldn't even spark a tingling sensation in his fingers. Odd...what the ******** had they done to him?
He couldn't really take in much more light, but his eyes here adjusting. He could now see that the door had no handle, and that a small vent, not big enough to crawl through, was stationed in the upper righthad corner of his view, just in the corner to the right of the door...
No one answered his call.

"Aww...crap. I...motherhelpme...can't move!!! Ugh..."
Ezriel began to strain his muscles, puling at his restraints. His head began pounding more and more, but all he wanted was freedom... Freedom...but, it was secure here, quiet, peaceful. Like...like the safety of the womb... But it was too cold...and hostile.
(i hate it when you restrict my magic...i always die in those places...and another chair, is this one hurting me too?)

Spaz had nothing to add to the conversation, as he had become sublimely interested in a stray thread hanging off the back of his shirt. Despite his best efforts to rip it off, it remained just out of reach of his nimble fingers. He spun around in circles, heedless of the thirty-odd foot drop below his precipitous perch, trying to nab the pesky thread.

Kali grinned. "Hey if I can flick a switch I can press a button!" She said cheerfully and clambered over to the doors. Then she stopped, and smacked her head against the cool metal with an inward sob. She didn't know how she did it!! "Shoot..." She muttered dejectedly, staring at the doors. "what did I do the first time...I know...I know I was angry...and then I smacked my hands on the wa-" she stopped dead, and stared at her barely visible reflection in the doors. What she saw was an idiot. "Doofus you just stick your hand through, god!" Yes, she was talking to herself. Unsurely, she reached out with her hand, attempting to slip it through yet again.

"Uh, my name is Sasha, S-A-S-H-A, and I'm going north to visit my, uh, aunt, yeah, aunt! Anyways, I need to pass through here, and tell my parents not to worry please." Wuth those parting words, Sasha scooted around the gaurd who was looked like he wanted to go back to sleep. She ignored the stares boring into her back, and just walked, wondering what on earth she was doing, and how long it wouls be before she got killed, or eate, or whatever it is that happenes to stupid travelers going north who don't have a plan.

That was indeed a bold move, and he proposed a good question. She stalled a moment, wondering if it would be better to go up, or down. Up was freedom...It had to be. The lower they went, the more tied down and monitored they would be. Well, monitored by physical presence. Up might mean more cameras. In any case, they both knew what awaited them down. Vixen shuddered as she heard a gunshot go off.
"I don't know which floor. How about the highest there is. Downwards is our death."
She sighed and pressed the highest floor the elevator held. Hopefully it was the right decision.

Skip nodded. He definitely agreed with Vixen. He just wondered what would be above them that could possibly lead to their freedom?
Once the elevator was in motion, Skip went back to the aid of Emerald. Why was she still unconscious? He tried rousing her again, tried saying her name, tried to remove her restraints, all in vain. What had Ellisent done to her? Those screens... had he done some sort of Clockwork Orange s**t to her? Or... Skip suddenly remembered the camera in his room. Was it Vixen who had been watching all along? Watching Skip break his legs, and suffer through it? Knowing Emerald, that must have been unbearable. He felt bad for breaking his legs.
Why wasn't she waking up? As far as Skip knew, he didn't have anything in his power to wake her.... did he?

Vixen watched as Skip tried to wake Emerald in vain. She wondered briefly what it was that had agonized Emerald so much to leave her as unconcious as this. It certainly was quite the puzzle. What could she do to help? As much as she hated to admit it, she would need Skip for a while if she wanted even the slightest chance at freedom. This meant appeasement. Doing things to keep him happy even if it turned her stomach. Well, he really was not that hard to keep happy, but as long as Emerald was bound to a chair and her body lifeless, Skip would be stressed. There had to be some way to get her out. She looked at her bloodied hands. Should she try again? Mmm, wait. When they hit the chair, and it moves, then some of the momentum of the power is lost on its target because some of it is transferred to move the chair. Perhaps one of them should hold the chair still while the other hit. It certainly sounded good.
"Do you want me to hold the chair still as you hit, or vice versa?"

Sasha walked along the road, looking for any clue as to what she needed tp do. She couldn't find any hidden meanings in Gloria's words, so she finally decided that she would head for New York. After all, what could be farther north than that? For the first time since she had woken up, Sasha fel excited at the coming adventure. All she had to do was survive long enouigh to get to her destination.

Kali shuddered as she felt the wall touch her shoulder, and her 'arm' pass right through. She would NEVER get used to this. EVER. She groped around uselessly, sliding over to the side. No point in feeling at the door, who the hell would put it there? "Wall...more wall....EW WHAT IS THAT?!?!!!" She wrenched her arm back through as she felt something sticky and did a disgusted dance. "Ewww that was so nastyyyy..." She squealed silently, shaking her arm as if to rid it of the feeling. With a shudder and a squeak of nervousness she pushed her arm back through, and felt around again for the button. "More wall...still wall...maybe it's on the other si-I found it!!" She called to Brian and Spaz, and pushed the button in, pulling away from the door and climbing back over to where he was. "See, I told you I could do it" She smiled.

Skip looked at Vixen, then shook his head. "No, I really don't think we can break these restraints with our bare hands..." he said. "Thanks anyway."
He took some of the Gysahl leaves from his pocket. Why hadn't they worked? Had Ellisent done something to her? How then was she to be healed? Skip would do it in a heartbeat, if only he could. Holding the leaves firmly in one hand, and Emerald's arm in the other, he concentrated. He thought to himself, 'I know I don't possess the ability myself, but I have to make Emerald better again... and I will. I swear it.'

[OMG Sorry for the delay...AP tests are ******** rediculous.]
The room was cold and static. Suddenly, with a sharp buzz that scraped the air, a loudspeaker, unseen to Ezriel, clicked on. A harsh, middle-aged man's voice barked through the mic, dictating orders and making far too many assumptions...
"Ezriel! Wake up, kid. You know why you're here today, ya little punk? Huh? Answer me, or I may have to take some pretty interesting methods of persuasion..."

"Hey! ...wait up!!"
From off in the distance, you heard a gruff man's voice, shouting at you. Who is it?
Suddenly, the old, sleepy guard popped out in front of you, a little more excited than anyone should ever be in their lifetime. Coughing up his newly created dust storm from the trail, he grabbed your shoulders, keeping you from going into the forest. Flexing his biceps subtly as he spoke, he was pleading his own case for adventure, rationalizing his own reasons to get out of this forsaken town.
Out of breath, he began his persuasion...
"Listen, Sasha, I don't know who you are or where you got the idea of going North so suddenly, but...but I want to go with you. I want out of this damn town! I-I want to see the world! Listen, I don't have much, but I can defend myself pretty well...you, too. If you don't want me, that's okay...but I'm an old man! This is the only chance I'll get to travel, to...to live! Please. I'm asking you, as a new ally, let me join you. I don't know why I'm pleading you to help a capable man like myself, but I feel something deep inside you. A warmth...a passion enflamed. Please. Take me with you. I'll be of more help than you can imagine."
Hm. He did carry a weapon...though he was a little stocky, and definitely out of shape, he could probably serve as a decent muscle for you...a bodyguard, if you will. But, wasn't the purpose of this trip to run away? Alone?
