[Very Smart.]
The shelter worked better than she'd expected; wrapped in miscellaneous pieces of clothing to provide extra heat, she was able to fall asleep...and wake up the next day, alive.
Emerging from the snow, the first stunning sight came in plain view, almost dead in front of her face. Two things, actually. Looking right, she saw the third.
This was a...beach? Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, Kali confirmed her first impressions...it was like a shoreline, only completely made up of glistening white snow...the new sand took its place nicely, but held an odd...eerie quality to it. As for the crystal blue water beyond...well, it was patched with thin ice and small snow deposits, seemingly left by the perpetual snow clouds over the ethereal area. To her right, part of the larger of the beach's three jetties, a noticeable crevice marked the beginning of what definitely seemed to be some sort of cave or shelter. How did she fail to see this yesterday? She could understand not hearing it; the water was stark still. But...it was so striking...she must have been losing it before...the cold was kind of unbearable.
A shiver ran down her spine, but she wasn't cold. See, fantasy for Kali had just become reality...She had only read about it in books...but here she was now, experiencing the real thing at last...
She had reached the Winter Coast.

[woohoo I'm smart! xd ]
"ookay...this is the WEIRDEST thing I've ever seen..." she muttered and crouched down near the edge of the water, poking at the ice with a stick. She searched her mind, straining to remember exactly what it was that she had read about the winter coast. But her mind was blank. All she could do was stare...

And stare she did. This place was boring. Really boring. Boring to the max.
Why the hell didn't she bring that book of world geography with her? It would have at least told her a few things...

...yuck..the guard really smelled foul now...how long was he out for?
At any rate, he held his breath and scanned the musty chamber...
Openings...openings...

She rubbed her arms to keep warm. She had to keep moving; this weather could not possibly sustain life for long....

Not that he could see, no...but he checked the guard nonetheless. Nothing left on him. Night didn't even leave a note...
But he was in a different spot than before...Ez could tell by the huge bloodstain on the other wall...and he was sitting this time...
Could Night have moved him?

((Sasha))
Sasha sat in her room, fairly bored. Oasis, she always knew, would never fit him. Water...so...flimsy. So dirty. Who would build a town on a lake, anyway? Ugh..it would have to do. At 17, she was almost ready to graduate high school, and finally move out. Freedom...was not only to be for her benefit. In a way, everyone expected her to leave.
Sasha has been fighting a constant battle with the government. At 12, she was almost abducted...
Ding-dong.
"Sasha, honey, will you get that?"
Her mother was so warm and sweet. Sasha would do just about anything for her. Opening the door was a piece of cake.
"Hello, I...Oh. Um...h-hi?" She didn't know what to think. Right before her eyes...three beefy members of the RPS...stood towering at her doorstep. She'd only heard of the Rozen Public Service once before...and the tale...well, it, ah, did not end well. She was shaking; without uttering a word, they had already frightened her completely. Crying out to her mother, Sasha dashed into the dining room to hide.
"Oh, Sasha, dear," her mother cooed as she sauntered into the lavish hall. "What are you-" Just like her daughter before her, Mrs. Twilex froze. Realizing the severity of her current situation, she forced a smile and welcomed the men in. Sasha, almost in tears under the table, watched as the men changed her life.
------------------------------------
After 15 minutes, her mother was still pleading...and, surprisingly, winning.
"...yes, but you'll have to come up with a better reason to steal my daughter from me! Listen, I don't want to deal with your excuses anymore. Get out of my house before I report you to Rozen himself! Go on! Come back when you have evidence of any reason to break up my family!" Her mother was tough, but this was plain risky. But still, it was successful. This time. Slowly...and sturdily...the men rose, and walked silently out of the house, glancing back, simultaneously, to sneak a hidden smile to poor, young Sasha...
They would be back.
Incidents like these occurred almost routinely. Never a reason, always insisting...these men wanted her for some greater reason...but her parents always thought of a way out, even including the town mayor. He wanted these guys gone.
Though he was on her side, everyone in the town wanted her gone. They didn't care whether she went with them, or wandered the oasis forever. They just wanted peace. And ever since a few...unexplained fires popped up in the neighboring Shade Forest, they've all been suspicious...
It's true, Sasha has always had a fascination with fire...not so much in terms of destruction, or warmth...but...as "cleansing". She felt that fire could vanquish all the stains of the earth. Fire burns clean, leaving behind a path of sterile nothingness...fire can give life. But she wasn't stupid. Arson would make no sense, and would definitely give the agents more reason to harass her. She couldn't put a finger on it, but some foul play was definitely involved. And with her 18th birthday drawing near, the bastards would soon be able to drag her off without consent...and she would never be seen again...
Anyways, it's a bright Sunday morning! What to do?

Ezriel was starting to get frustrated. He kicked the disembodied head towrds the corpse like a soccer ball. Why did she move him? Ezriel moved the body over to the side.
(can I get Ezriel's stats?)

((yay, I feel special!))
Sasha sat up, enjoying the warmth from the sun where it streamned through her window. She got up and dressed, choosing orange for her ensamble today. She padded downstairs, kissing her mom on the cheek as she went by before looking for something to eat. Finaly finding a bagel, she, picked and walked out the door, saying over her shoulder to her mom "i'm going out, I'll see you later."
She just stood for a moment, enjoying the sun, before walking on. She was heading towards the library, and was looking forward to a good read. Thankfully, it wasn't close too the lake because the builders had been concerned about water getting in.
As she walked, Sasha stuck her hand in her pocket, searching for the matches she always kept their. She grasped them, and after making sure that no one could see, she lit one, watching mesmerised the it was slowly burned away. It was just a little thing, but it always helped her feel just a little bit cleaner after being in this city of water. On escpecially bad days, she would go through a lot of them.
When Sasha finally arrived at the library, she stuck the box back into her pocket, and smiled at the clerk, who smiled back. She was well known here, which wasn,t surprising given the amount of time she spent in the library. She was always careful with her matches here, because books were the only thing that she didn't like seeing on fire. All that wisdom lost forever.

Scowling Kali turned and walked the opposite direction. 'Town north of here my butt.' she grumbled in her head, glaring at the horison as she walked. Back to walking...waitm which direction was she walking in before.
"Oh no! Oh crap!" She gasped, her eyes widening and grabbing her head with her hands. "I can't have forgot, oh man how stupid can I possibly get?!" She shouted, mentally slapping herself across the face. "Ah man..." She groaned as she looked around. The only direction she knew she shouldn't go in was behind her...
"fine then. I'll just have to keep walking in a straight..ish, line." She said decisively, ending her mental spaz out and regaining her senses. "Just keep walking...Oh what I wouldn't do to be in a wheel chair or something..." She muttered, glaring at the horison once again.

[Which direction...since you're stranded and probably wouldn't know your cardinal directions from this position, go with right, towards, left, and away from the shore line.]

((Well, there's strength in numbers, so I'll wait for the third.
By the way, did I miss out on getting into the elevator? I didn't realize I had the option of getting into it from underneath. My plan was to go in from the top))
Spaz snored.
I'm not talking sawing logs here, I mean like snores of epic outboard motor proportions. These were like "rattle the floorboards and wake the neighbors" snores. And not just regular Zs, either; like the kind where you can't tell if the dude is about to choke to death on his own tongue, or just gargling while simultaneously trying to gore a grizzly bear with a chainsaw kinda deal.
"Zzz, no officer, I swear I've never seen that severed arm before... ZZZ."

She looked at the cave in front of her, the beach to her left. She had gone right... Hey, if she was going to be bored out of her mind she might as well explore while she was doing it. Not that she had any plans to stay there any longer than needed. She was just...curiouse, wondering what was inside...Maybe some giant, man eating thing that would kill her!
Naw. It was probably empty. She snorted at her own imagination and picked up a rock, throwing it into the water, then looking at the cave. Maybe she should go in...
