((A little late, but we actually learned the spelling in Civilizations earlier in the year. It's Sobet, believe it or not, although people pronounce it as though having an 'r'. It comes from some language or another... may have been Sanskrit. Definitely one of those ancient languages, though.))

"Hmm... cherry..." Ruby murmured, in response to the favorite flavor of icecream. "Though, we should probably stop the random conversation now - we're here." She gestured toward the open mouth of the volcano. It was no surprise that no one else had noticed that they'd gotten out of the thicker vegetation a while before. Because no one mentioned it.

Sapphire turned and strutted up to Ruby's side, keeping her pace. She looked into the mouth of the volcano and backed up; volcanoes weren't really supposed to be safe.
"So....What are we looking for again? Treasure?" Sapphire asked.

"What a smart idea," Kiichigo said sarcastically, "Just jump into a volcano, not even remembering how hot they are, and how easily they can kill you. See, this is why I say that she has no common sense. Whatsoever."

((It says Sobet in my Civ notes, wherever they are... and my teacher said how irritated he always got because people stuck an 'r' in there. Paradise and Pajama come from the same language that Sobet does... I remember because it was extra credit. I'll try to find my notes.))

The ruby was actually rather small compared to the volcano around it, about a centimeter in both length and witdth (it was a rectangle). It had a silver edge that glared brightly in the sunlight from the angle she saw it from. "It's right in the middle, though... and look at all of those hunters, not seeing it!"
"They probably do see it, but are at a loss as to how to get it," Brownie suggested.
