Keme nodded his head, "Yea sure, that sounds good!" he said, not noticing that Relm was now getting a bit tipsy. He himself was starting to feel a bit tipsy, but not too much.

Looking like the cat that swallowed the canary, Zach rolled a bit back and forth on his feet from toe to heel. "All right then! Be ready! We need something to liven this place up, and quick!"
From the notes all could hear that the female on stage's song was drawing to a close. She had done a wonderful representation of it, but there were far too many downcast eyes because of it.
"Thank you very much for that lovely song!" Relm blinked, wondering how the man had gotten to the stage so quickly that she had missed it and clapped for the singer as she left the stage. "Now for a great bit of fun! Our furred friends have put their song selection into my very capable hands..." Zach had to stop as some of the regulars and his fellow co-workers shouted comments or outright laughed while some of the other patrons laughed a bit less. Relm giggled, lightly kissing Keme on the cheek.
Slender arms were held up to calm people down, and Zach looked both surprised and amused. "Now. Now. Lemmie tell you what I've picked. Doubt most of you know this band... unless you're part of the few followers they have or caught them when they opened for Jewel their last tour. So give it up for the bucko who'll be having a go at "Killkenny Pub" by the Rugburns!"
Relm blinked. That name sounded familiar. The band at least. She wondered if it was one of those Trelweny played on occasion.

Keme smiled as he was announced and he stood up and made his way to the stage, waving as he got claps and some whistles. He took the mic and looked to the screen as the song began.
oh I was born in Ireland. I was raised on whiskey but weaned on gin drinking so long since I was born never been so high as a kite in a storm
hey ho what do you know when you're out of good whiskey you're out on the road back to Killkenny where liquer is plenty & people are friendly whereever you go hey ho what do you know when your glass is empty your boud to go back on the job just to earn a few bob for good liquer & grub at the Killkenny Pub.
Well I left home when I was 12 I was on the road like a bat out of Hell looking for work in the county of Clerk with a dimwitted numbskull named Paddy O'Herk
hey ho what do you know when you're out of good whiskey you're out on the road back to Killkenny where liquer is plenty & people are friendly whereever you go hey ho what do you know when your glass is empty your boud to go back on the job just to earn a few bob for good liquer & grub at the Killkenny Pub.
(faster) Kickin & splashin & pissin & smashin & guzzlin & laughin & blowin your load Dancin & singing schilalies a'swinging & all the drunks they go staggerin home diddly aye diddley aye diddley aye-ay diddly aye diddley aye diddley aye-ay
(even faster, only beat & hand drums in background) Kickin & splashin & pissin & smashin & guzzlin & laughin & blowin your load Dancin & singing schilalies a'swinging & all the drunks they go staggerin home diddly aye diddley aye diddley aye-ay diddly aye diddley aye diddley aye-ay
(regular pace) hey ho what do you know when you're out of good whiskey you're out on the road back to Killkenny where liquer is plenty & people are friendly whereever you go hey ho what do you know when your glass is empty your boud to go (slightly slowing to end) back on the job just to earn a few bob for good liquer & grub at the Killkenny Pub.
Keme was a little nervous, it wasn't a song he knew too well, but it wasn't long before he got into the music and was dancing along with it.

Espers!! It is that band! Relm was blushing at the realization, but before she knew it she was whistling at Keme's dancing. Her eyes were bright and her feet were tapping wanting to join in. She wanted to join in... but it was such a thrill to watch Keme dance... suddenly she understood on a more personal level why Rikku might like dancing so much with Naruto. Knowledge was one thing... this kind of knowing, the way her body was moved along, was totally different. No wonder the blonde had a hard time putting it into words. "haha!!" Zach was laughing into the whoots & hollers and applause that followed the song. More than a few were laughing at the lyrics while some looked just plain confused as if the speed or words had left them behind. "Ll right!! That was great! Thanks Bucko! Now we're going to brig his little lady up here..." He held out his hand to help Relm onto the stage where she bounded over to Keme's side with a giggle. "...and bring it down a notch." There were a few playful boos which Zach laughed off. "I only said a notch folks, and that's what I mean! We're hitting the Musicals now, something we don't often hear unless its Phantom of the Opera so get ready for your dose of culture. From another one of Lloyd Webber's hits, Cats here's "Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer"!" The pictomancer's eyes widened and she looked at Keme. They could both dance... but pulling off many of the moves she had seen of this song in the movie would be difficult to impossible on the stage they had. And required quite a bit of practice. But the music was already started, and thankfully had the song split clearly into two. She followed the "Rumpleteazer" lines with a giggle, winking at Keme and ready for anything. "Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer were a notorious couple of cats As knockabout clowns, quick-change comedians Tight-rope walkers and acrobats They had an extensive reputation, made their home in Victoria grove That was merely their center of operation for they were incurably given to rove
If the area window was found ajar and the basement looked like field of war If a tile or two came loose on the roof which presently ceased to be waterproof If the drawers were pulled out from the bedroom chests And you couldn't find one of your winter vests Or after supper one of the girls suddenly missed her Woolworth pearls
Then the family would say "It's the horrible cat! It was Mungojerrie or Rumpelteazer!" And most of the time they left it at that
Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer had an unusual gift of the gab They were highly efficient cat burglars as well and remarkably smart at a smash and grab They made their home in Victoria Grove, they had no regular occupation They were plausible fellows who liked to engage a friendly policeman in conversation
When the family assembled for Sunday dinner Their minds made up that they wouldn't get thinner on Argentine join, potatoes and greens Then the cook would appear from behind the scenes And say in a voice that was broken with sorrow "I'm afraid you must wait and have dinner tomorrow The joint has gone from the oven like that!"
Then the family would say "It's that horrible cat! It was Mungojerrie or Rumpelteazer!" And most of the time they left it at that
Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer had a wonderful way of working together And some of the time you would say it was luck and some of the time you would say it was weather They'd go through the house like a hurricane and no sober person could take his oath Was it Mungojerrie or Rumpelteazer? Or could you have sworn that it mightn't be both? When you heard a dining room smash or up from the pantry there came a loud crash Or down from the library came a loud ping From a vase which was commonly said to be ming Then the family would say: "Now Which was which cat? It was Mungojerrie and Rumpelteazer and there's nothing at all to be done about that!"

Keme blushed hard when everyone clapped and cheered for him and he gave a small bow in thanks. His heart was beating fast when Zach announced which song they would be singing together, and hoped he didn't mess up. Once the song started, it took him a bit, but soon he was into the song right along with Relm.

Relms eyes were perhaps a little overbright but she was having fun. More fun to sing with Keme. She quirked her head with a silly grin at him as the song came to an end nd the aplause began. Maybe they could learn parts of the dance to do another time? That sounded like fun! Grinning Relm wrapped her arms around Keme and gave him a kiss before Zach could joinn them on the stage for his part. "I've always thought tails made that song... and now I'm certain." That got a laugh from the tables. "Now keeping on the upbeat theme here, I've picked out a slightly country song for our bird here." Blushing Relm pulled a little away from Keme and nodded that it was okay. "Good, because it seems you're doing a good job tonight to "Give them Something to Talk About"!" Her fur kept her blush from getting as red as her beret but she smiled as she spun to the music and started her song with a fun little shimmy as she danced through it. "People are talking, talking 'bout people I hear them whisper, you won't believe it They think we're lovers kept under covers I just ignore it, but they keep saying We laugh just a little too loud We stand just a little too close We stare just a little too long Maybe they're seeing something we don't, Darlin'.
I feel so foolish, I never noticed You'd act so nervous, Could you be falling for me? It took a rumor to make me wonder Now I'm convinced I'm going under Thinking 'bout you every day Dreaming 'bout you every night Hoping that you feel the same way Now that we know it, let's really show it, Darlin'.
Let's give them something to talk about Let's give them something to talk about Let's give them something to talk about How about love, love, love, love?
Let's give them something to talk about A little mystery to figure out Let's give them something to talk about How about love, love, love, love?"

Keme happily kissed her back when the song ended. He went off the stage and back to their table, making sure to keep his butt from reach as he sat down. He knocked back his drink and smiled as Relm started singing. He had heard that song a few times and he had to wonder...was that song kinda like him and Relm? That many others saw something coming up between them when they themselves didn't see it?

If Relm had been just listening to the song her thoughts might have followed Keme's. As it was she was engrossed in it, not seeing it as she usually would. She took her bow to the cheers and happily skipped off stage before Zach got up there. The crowd laughed a bit to see him flustered even the slightest bit at the audio female's prompt departure, and it did not take long before he was chuckling a bit with them and announcing the next song. "Edge of Heaven" by Wham.
Relm snuggled into Keme's side when she reached him, tail wagging and purring happily.

Keme quickly wrapped his arms around Relm when she came to him and he nuzzled her lovingly, purring as he whispered, "You did fantastic Relm..."

Her purr intensified. "Thanks, Hummer. I didn't get to tell you how much I enjoyed yours." Well, she had kissed him, but it was not the same. "I'm so glad we came..."

With a giggle Relm licked the underside of his chin. "You mean you're not dessert?" A nearby table snickered overhearing that and one of the guys beyond that had leered at her fell off his seat. Relm paid them no mind. "I wouldn't mind staying... but dessert sounds good." Relm remembered that she was supposed to choose then and leaned her head into Keme's shoulder. "Do you like custard?"

He blushed hard at that and chuckled at some of the others reactions to her words. He chuckled and then blinked at what she said, "Yea, I like it." he answered.

"Then we need to find a place with custard!" Her thoughts had taken a turn for the worst but dispite her drunken state Relm managed to retain some outward display of innosence. Spotting Samantha she waved her over. "Samantha! Do you know if there are any custard places around here?"
The girl looked taken aback for a moment. "You mean frozen custard?"
Now Relm started to realize the effects the alcohoal might be having on her. She was not sure. "Keme? Frozen custard?"

Keme watched Relm and he wasn't so sure about taking her out for dessert. Maybe he should just take her home so she could sleep off the alchohal in her system. "Ummm....maybe I should take you home Relm?" he asked.
