"Elizabeth... the Overlord?" Suddenly, the pieces fell into place. "Oh. I see... so she died, then."
There was an uncomfortable silence (well, inasmuch as was possible in the noisy casino), then Odilen coughed awkwardly to try and break it. "And she knows where the person we're looking for is... who might know where the OTHER person is. Man, I think I need a special index just to keep all of these people straight. I missed so much..." She shrugged. "But not any more."
Another pause. "Will you be okay if... when she comes out? Maybe we shouldn't be here, maybe we should pick another route or..."

Shoulders heaving with the force of her sigh, Quinn nodded and replied, "I'll be fine. I've survived this long. I come in under her radar, I think. I don't suppose she sees me as much of a threat. I guess I kind of like it that way... I wish Junkan was here. He'd eat her or something..." She smiled at the thought of Junkan holding Dune in his mouth and crunching her bones while the rest of them questioned her. Of course Junkan would be smart enough to leave the head for last. She wouldn't expect anything else of him.

Seeing how the others were sticking around as well, he listened in on the conversation. Oh he could definately understand why Quinn didn't like Cordelia much.. since he figured Dune and Cordelia were one int he same since he had seen the same thing she had. It was hard to hear about how she died again, especially after having to watch it. Even though he hadn't known her personally, he had seen her a few times...
Sitting down comfortably in a chair, he rubbed his chin, wondering if it was safe enough to wait for Cordelia.. but if she's th eonly one who might know where Vincent is, what choice did they have?
And what was skat?

//Time bouncing! =D
Time progressed rather slowly and hours seemed to transform into days as they waited inside the casino. Those around them were well aware that these strangers were hardly used to the casinos but instead of intruding upon them, they left them alone so that they might enjoy their own fun.
Nevertheless, as the early hours of the morning approached and the crowds began to thin as many returned home to rest the doors atop the grand stairwell opened and the woman slipped out. What was most peculiar however was that she was holding her hat as opposed to wearing it as was thought to be her traditional manner, her cloak was also slung over her arm in the same manner.
"Cordelia, you will consider what I said!" The manager called as he appeared in the doorway and the woman turned round ever so slightly, her brow furrowed into an expression of mild disapproval at his question.
"As I stated before, you get what I want and I will return the favour." She replied in a simple tone before making her way through the casino at considerable speed, the manager didn't even have time to offer a response...

Quinn was seemingly the only one still awake at this early hour, being part fox had some advantages it seemed, so she was first to make her way towards Cordelia. She had wanted to wait for the others, but seeing how quickly the rogue moved, she was wise to make haste.
Placing herself between Cordelia and, Quinn supposed, her intended exit, Quinn steadied herself with her staff and said firmly, but not impolitely, "Lady Ali'ance, if I may have but a moment of your time."

Hearing someone moving, he lifted his head. He wasn't asleep, but playing with a set of cards he had bought just because. He had partaken in some of the games of the casino and though while some where fun, he didn't see how people could get so hopelessly addicted to the machines. It didn't make sense to him.
His ear flicked as he heard Cordelia leaving and he also got up, but Quinny was first to stop her.. though he wasn't sure how well that was going to go. Moving to stand behind Quinny, he bowed before Cordelia politely, his eyes even downcast onto the floor for a moment before looking up. True, she had killed someone and in his mind, that wasn't something easily forgiven. But he didn't know the woman herself so he could be polite to her. "Lady Ali'ance." So this is what she looked like close up.

The emerald eyes flicked towards both beings and the woman appeared to suffer from a lapse of mild amusement as the smirk flickered up onto her lips - ah the irony of it all, she had been told they would stay out of her way and here they were, the meddling little welps really didn't know that the more they aggrivated certain people, the worse the punishment later on.
Nevertheless, despite having sat in a meeting for quite a few hours the woman was in prestine condition and in an unusally good mood, whatever had happened seemed to have gone swimingly and thus she could afford to be mildly civil to the beings who had very nearly gotten in the way of the task she had been hired for.
"What is it?" She enquired as she lifted her free hand to brush it against the braided chocolate coloured hair at the back of her head. Well, she was of the belief that if they hurried themselves and told her what they wanted then she could be on her way and be done with them...refusing an audience would only agrivate them and she really was not in the mood to pike someone with her rapier so the most they could do was wriggle against a wall that they were now attached to by the stomach.

A brow shifted up at her happy behavior.. he didn't recall her being quite so cheerful but then again, who was he to know. It just felt a bit off to him anyway. But she seemed in a hurry for some reason. Who wasn't nowadays. "I am sorry for causing you to hesitant in whatever business you need to attend to, so I'll make it brief. We wish to ask if you might know where we can find Vincent Yuthin? It is of an extreme importance that we find him as soon as possible." Ah, yay for proper... forced.. upbringing.
Maybe he shouldn't have said it was really important. if she was as bad as Quinn said, she could take wicked intent and send them on a mad goose chase. But since they needed to find Saevam as soon as possible... well he hoped they wouldn't be led astray. If something was amiss, he would need to tell Koniryu about this as soon as possible.

"Trying to keep track of Lord Yuthin is like trying to tell the ocean to be still - it's impossible." The rogue raised a brow quizzically at the pair as if curious as to why they needed to come to her to discover the whereabouts of a dandy that she hadn't clapped eyes on in the last three months - if she were to be honest she hadn't clapped eyes on anyone until a few days ago, she'd only just gotten back.
"I haven't the faintest idea where the air head is, if his admirers don't know then touch luck I suppose." She gave a shrug at this and slipped the hat onto her head as she proceeded to adjust her cloak about her neck, now that she had answered their question she could dismiss herself accordingly.
"Try Durem, that's where the prat's home is or it was when I last checked." She muttered and slipped passed both Quinny and Akiya as she headed out the door and muttered a few incoherent curses about the weather as she disappeared into the haze of the unrelenting rain.

"Thank you for your time." He still had to be polite.. he had the feeling that being violent with this woman was most unwise, considering how she acted towards Elizabeth. But if she didn't know then perhaps Durem or heading back to the tavern was the best idea. Sighing heavily and pushing his thick wealth of braids over his shoulder, he watched the woman leave. He hoped Quinn wouldn't be too angry with him for asking the question first, but they needed to ask her before she disappeared for who knew how long.
So Vincent was not quite as out of it as he had first thought at first glance. If he moved around a lot, then he obviously had a quick mind. But why has he been gone for so long? What if he already left to find her... crap, too many questions and no time to think up answers. Least not on his own and not with the limited knowledge at his disposal. He can't be airheaded if no one knows where to find him. It takes stealth.. or just plain damn good luck in order to completely fall out of sight. But from what he learned from his travels. everyone slips up sometime. Someone had to have seen him and hopefully recently.
The thing needed was to find said person. But whether to go to Durem first or back to the tavern. He also had to find Koni and Reika... damn it.

"We waited that long for THAT?" Odilen scowled at the woman's back as she left, feeling a bit of Quinny's irritation creep into her own feelings. "Oh well. Shall we go to Durem, then?" The Ieldi stretched and yawned, then poked with one foot at the two snoozing familiars on the floor.
"You did well, by the way," she said gently to Quinn. Odilen was genuinely impressed at how the other woman had handled and concealed her obvious dislike and anger of the woman, for the sake of their quest.

"It's better than nothing..." akiya just looked tired and rubbed at his face a bit. "I'll hafta tell Koni about all this the next time i get to see him..." Sighing, he looked out the nearby window and watched the rain as it continued to come down. "Seems like going to Durem is the only thing we can really do... or maybe head back to the tavern for a bit. Maybe there's someone whose seen him... I would rather not go on a wild goose chase in this weather..."
He headed towards the door and looked out and around. Geez, when would this weather let up? A soft kweh caused him to look over and notice a familiar looking chocobo. "Wait..." Ignoring the fact he had been nicely dry, he hurried out to get closer to the animal, who didn't move since he knew Akiya's scent. "Arkli! What are you doing here?" He stroked the bird's back gently.. if Arkli's here... "Then Koniryu...."
He must be close by!

Quinn's had been holding her breathe, only letting it out in a very audible sigh when Cordelia was quite gone. She smiled at the nice words from Odilen, though she hardly felt that she deserved them. She scratched her head a bit and offered her only snippit of advice, "Akiya, you seem to be the fastest of us and the one best equipped for quick travel. I suggest you go back to the Tavern to collect Zayn and Masa since they got left behind and then meet us at the clock tower in Durem. Odilen, Mirror and I can travel there ahead of you and try to find Vincent. Mirror can ride Therin if he needs to rest and Odilen has her chocobo, so we should travel quickly."
She thought a little and added, "I figure it will take you a few hours to collect everyone and get to Durem, so what do you say... meet at the tower in 4 hours? Will that give you enough time? That is, if you would be so kind as to go..."

Having just come back inside after guiding Arkli to a much drier location, he was squeezing a bit of water out of his hair before he listened to what Quinn had to say. A brow raised when she said he was the fastest of the group. It was a compliment, to be sure, just one he hadn't been expected to hear. "If they're at the tavern, then I'll collect them and bring them promptly. I don't see why I shouldn't go. The rest of you have familiars and ones to look after, I do not. I have nothing to carry over and it's not that big of a deal.
"I'll get Masa and Zayn and bring them to the Clock Tower. I'll also see if there might be anyone whose seen Vincent recently. Can't hurt to ask, right?" Looking over at the nearest clock, he took the time and nodded. "Sure. Four hours. That's more than enough time. Though if I'm not there in four hours, for whatever reason, I'll come find you, all right?"

"That's fine with me," Odilen said with a nod. "Providing the bird I rode is still out there - but even if not, I'm fully capable of walking." She nudged her familiars again. "Come on, you lot. Up and at 'em."
Spark hissed at the poke, but struggled grumpily to his feet, stretching and discharging twin static bursts into the carpet from each whisker. BoCo grumbled too, but got up as well.
