Do you guys know if the huge kits, like the 12 chaos spawn ands like 10 chaos space marine box will be outrageously expensive (money wise) or will making much more models decrease the price?
Excuse this little blip but....

$350 mothafrager! It seems to be the price if I remember correctly

@Tex

Your friggen crazy! 300+ tanks? You realise what the point value for that would be? Tanks are 150+ points, taking it at 200 pts with or without upgrades your looking at 60 000 point army. Even if you have the income, its too expensive

apocalypse has no point limit
plus would never field it all (unless they had titans)

Thta is one thing I am going to fear comming up against in Apocalypse and that is Titans. But at least with my Tau army I am going to have the speed advantage over them. It is a shame though that they have done away with the structure points with them.

with so much freedom, will titans even be worth it? the only reason they were so good was becasue you were limited in what you could take to fight them.

I mean, even for a tau player, you can just flood a titan with a bunch of Pirana skimmers and BAM you probally won't have TOO much of a problem on your hands.

When you put a titan in a limitless 3000 point game, I would think it's similar to what happens when you put a landraider in a 1000-1250 game.

well most Titans are going to have mostly "D" Str weapons
also i think most nomal 40k stuff can't harm them at all
but that's when strategic assets come in to play
space based bombarment away pirate

The Space Marine company datasheet has that one included for 200 points, plus two other assets: "hold at all costs" and "strategic planning".

Meaning that certain datasheet forces automatically get assets plus those agreed upon before the match.

So are any of you guys going to take Titans? I won't as I am a Tau player and not an Imperial or Ork palyer. I will be taking the odd Barracuda though^^

When the Orks get their Gargants / Stompas next year I might get one of those just for hobby and fun purposes.

I've seen the Baneblade sprues and decal sheet, definitely worth it. Tank is big, though some parts in comparison seem smaller in comparison with the FW model. The kit has enough parts for three tank commanders (one on foot and two cupola jerks). The decal sheet is more like the old generic IG decal sheet, with tonnes of good decals and NOT JUST CADIAN.

Sadly no Apoc book on display though, I'm itching for info on the three-tank squadron and if any special rules that come it. Any info on this tid-bit is greatly appreciated.

just saw preview of the boxed kits... 10 leman russ in one box is a great starter for armoured company, marine battle company is 2k army in itself... tau insertion and interdiction forces just need some basic fire warriors to create 2k army too...

About Titans, I hear you can get (either a Warlord or Imperator) Titan for like 2500 points, and it remains off board, just shooting on to it. It's simply too big to be placed on the board.

Here is a 40K scale Imperator: OMGWTFBBQ

Id rather they let you at least use models of the feet. That way you could still stomp s**t, and I believe the Imperator was the one that carried armies of IG in its feet.

Stomp, then charge out the IG on what remains.
