Amba Smith I would click that 'Dumbledore is not dead' link thing, but since my sister fooled me into clicking this link that turned out to be a screamer, I'm too scared to click any link that people give me. Oh, how I wish I could click that link. Wait, I know. I'll get my sister to go on it first and she can check if it's alright. But she'll say that it's not a scary thing even if it is. NOOOO! Okay, I will think about it over a week or so then I'll decide whether to click it or not. Amba, I've opened the link...

As much as I would like to believe Dumbledore is still alive, I don't think so. (So sad- I was in tears at the end of book 6.)
I really have just 1 reason. It's because Harry is, after all, the main character and the one who will fight Voldemort in the end. Dumbledore has been his mentor in all of books 1-6, and in book 7, the final climax, Harry is going to have to go through it alone, without the one person who would be able to help him the most. I think this is the reason why he had to die. cry

There's a site that I forgot the name of (something about "Dumbledore's not dead"), and they say that dumbledore probably fakes his death so Voldemort will stop bugging him, and he can continue his work undetected. I mean, why did his body float up when he was killed? Cedric just fell over, while Dumbledore's death was a huge production! Also, throughout the whole book, they're talking about those spells you cast without really saying them! Bellatrix says that if you want to perform an unforgiveable curse, you have to enjoy it and really want it to happen. Maybe Snape does not want to kill him, so his incantation does not work, therefore allowing him to cast another one in his mind that makes D. appear to die. D. also tells Draco that he could hide him from Voldemort, Draco could be dead to the whole world. Maybe that is what he is doing right now! Maybe he immobilized Harry so there would be someone to verify his "death" to the world, making the Ministry stop bothering him! I cannot remember everything, but the site is great. If you're interested, I suggest google searching it because it has thoroughly convinced me that he is still alive. He might come back in the 7th book to help Harry in secret. That's is so funny! I believe that is true too. But that's the exact same thing my sister said. smile

After I'd finished the book me and my mum had this big in depth discussion about it and we both think that Dumbledor isn't dead. His death was weird to begin with. He gets knocked backwards over the balcany thing, then there's this long break before they actualy find his body, which I though was strange. And how he was pleading with Snape it kinda sounded more 'Please...Severes...' as in 'please kill me' rather than 'Please spare my frail old life' So maybe he planned to die or was just faking it. Well I guess we'll just have to wait until the book comes out to really know.

Well I belive that Dumbledore is dead. I wish that he wasn't tough. I think it got real to me because of the funeral.
I think the "Please Severus" was not spare my life. More don't do it, don't go bad. But I'm not sure.
But I still think that Dumbledore will have much to do with the last book, even if he's dead.

The only reason I don't think Dumbledore is dead, is because, I really don't think we have even gotten the real story about Snape's secret and why he left Voldemort's Army. Now we know he is half blood, but who cares he was before he join him so why would that matter. So maybe his story will come out in the 7th book. So, if he really isn't evil then I don't think he could have killed Dumbledore.

I think that Harry Potter will die. I'm sure that he is the last horcrux. He even foreshadows that he suspects that he is when he is questioning about what they are. Also, Harry Potter seems very much like a martyr and in order to be the perfect martyr he must have a martyr's death to save everyone else.
As for Dumbledore I think he's dead. Just because he's dead though, doesn't make his character unimportant anymore.

Wow, I hadn't even thought about Harry being one. Pretty clever but that would really end the series if Harry had to let himself die to save the world. Some real clever thinking on that one. I applaud you. biggrin

I think Dumbledore is dead. I don't think he made a whole plan for himself to come back to life, and for some loophole in the unforgiveable curse so that Snape wouldn't have to die too. I think it would be too hard on Harry. Dumbledore has always been a very kind person to Harry, and I don't think he would torture Harry like that with the thought that he was dead when he really wasn't.
I'm not sure if Harry is indeed a Horcrux or not, but I was recently reading a theory on Mugglenet.com, that suggested a very possible item to be the Horcrux of Ravenclaw. The mirror of erised. In the description of the mirror, it is said to have claw like feet on the bottom that hold the mirror upright. Again, isn't a mirror that shows the thing you most desire in the world something of true wisdom and intelligence? I deifintely agree with this theory. I can't find the link right now, but when I do I'll post it here so you guys can read it.

I like the mirror theory.
I've also thought about Harry being one, or the scar. But then I read something about not being in alive things. Don't remember it all now. But I've not totally given up on it. I like the idea that Harry's scar is a Horcrux.

I read this theory on the internet on the 7th book, and it stayed in my head.
If Harry defeets Lord Voldermort. His lighting bolt scar would disappear.

*Sigh of frustration* Dumbledor... is... dead *gritts teeth*. I watched a biography of Rowling and she said that the characters who have 'died' are, in fact, dead. Therefore... Dumbledore, Sirius... and Cedric Diggory are all dead. She also said there will be a tonne of more deaths in the sevenths book, she said a hand full of cannon characters will die. However... I do not think Ron or Hermione will die. I think Ginny will most likely die... because harry is so attatched to her. Remus will probably die, snape, draco, a couple weasley's and some teachers will most likely die.
