"Well if we run into one of those ghost ships, I can bet Kibo could help us out if we meet the ghosts.
PostPosted: Tue Apr 10, 2007 8:42 pm

Kibo: Trust me, we'd be lucky if all we got was ghosts. There are many things worse than ghosts. Some of which not even I, nor the strongest Necromancer, can withstand.

Zia and Maida dropped to the deck lightly with their knees slightly bent like a cat's might be.

"And blowing and waving at them to go away will only get you so far." "Even getting into their pants wouldn't help much." "Not that they're wearing any."

All three of the girls giggled at that.

"Well, there is that. But it's not a literal saying." "You ever notice how veryvery odd sayings nowadays are? Like to put a foot in one's mouth. Who came up with that, anyway?" "I think it was some lord or another. Lord Hansworth?" "No, not him. He was a very sensible sort of fellow." "Oh so veryvery sensible. Too stiff though." "Yes, muchmuch to stiff."

Kibo scratches his head out of sheer confusion.

Kibo: Where the hell did that come from? We're talking about post-mortal entities, and you go off on turns of phrases? How did you come to that certain tangent?

Zia and Maida looked him confused.

"Well, we were talking about ways to get rid of them," "And pants came up, of course," "But since spirits don't wear pants, it didn't make much sense to us," "And when you think about it, most phrases don't make much more sense," "So of course, we had to figure out who thought the phrases into being," "But our memory isn't as good as it once was," "So we don't quiet remember who said what and why." "Which leads us to discuss the varying stiffness of said poets and phillosphers," "Which in tern leads us back to now and confusing confusions." "It's really quiet easy, you know, to keep up." "Veryvery easy." "You just have to pay attention to the things unspoken to the things spoken as well." "Reading minds helps too." "It helps oh so veryvery much," "And it keeps those who can't read minds on their toes."

The apparent twins popped the last handfuls of jellybeans into their mouths and watched Kibo try and think that one through with guileless eyes.

Kibo listens to each of their seperate tangents carefully, to avoid the awkward pause at the end, showing he did not understand.

Kibo: Oh, I see. And speaking of which, how do you turn a phrase?

Zia and Maida cocked their heads in a very bird like manner.

"Turn a phrase?" "Do you mean turn it, like you stir a bowl of stew when you make it, so it's well done?" "No stupid, phrases don't need to be stired; they need to simmer and settle on you." "Ohhh, like a marinated porkchop?" "No, because pork is gross."

((I'm very hungry right now, if you can't tell. sweatdrop ))

Kibo: Pork, gross? You ladies need to try haggis before you judge the "grossness" of other foods.

"We have." "Haggis is good." "Goat is pretty good too." "And so are sweet rolls." "Pork isn't though."
PostPosted: Mon Apr 16, 2007 5:26 pm

Kibo shrugs.

Kibo: Well, you certainly have strange tastes, then. Goat is pretty good, though. As is rabbit.

"Only when raw." "And after sitting out a few days." "And maybe with some taters." "No, potatoes. Taters are only good in stew with some spices and maybe a little goat, or dog."
PostPosted: Mon Apr 16, 2007 5:35 pm

Kibo: Peeshaw. Rabbit it best when cooked over an open flame, only slightly rare.

Zia and Maida both shook their heads empthedically.

"We may not agree on everything," "Or anything really," "But if there's one thing we know," "Is how to eat rabbit." "You can't even begin to understand the complexities of the flavors," "After it's been sitting out for at least a day."
PostPosted: Mon Apr 16, 2007 5:48 pm

Kibo: Bah. I prefer not to ingest any of the maggots, worms, or who-knows-what-else that have gotten into a day-old raw rabbit.

"Maggots? Did he say maggots?" "Maggots, he says!"

They both laughed at that.

"Then you do not know how to perserve it properly," "If maggots are getting in it."
