I love you too, Batman.
Iden's voice rang with the good humor he likely felt. One could almost imagine the grin on his face. Judging from the silence in the background, he was likely in his tavern...or home, or somewhere else without local people.
Well. I've got a bit of an annoying one on my hands. Sounds like a Sabbat pack in Durem. I've got a b*****d childe that just left my tavern, he's off in the cornerclub a few blocks down. I think a Lasombra did him. Iunno what the hell to do with the kid...struck me this was more your field of expertise. Any ideas?

It wouldnt suprise me. Since we closed down the borders and started decimating the larger teams tey were sending in, as WELL as the hordes of shovel heads popping up along the coast, they seem to have gone a little more guerilla on us. Isolated cells popping up at random, all over Gaia, mostly targetting Durem. This kid would be a good witness to let us know some of whats going on, if he knows anything, and if not... Im thinking Jannisary. Can you try and bring him down here without anyone seeing him? Whatever you do... dont let yourself be tailed, kill anyone who smells Sabbat. He;ll be useless to us if anyone knows WE'VE got him.
*Raoul sounded casual, ignoring the Batman comment, but his furred ears were pricked as he listened to Iden, mind already racing to thoughts and ideas for the newly Embraced*

I've already got a team keeping a perimeter around the club. Nobody's going to see him without having someone with a clean line of sight to their cranium.
Ah, yes, the ghouls. Iden did have a team that he took with him on patrols, and he was glad for their services. He'd called them before he'd called Raoul, thinking this sort of thing would be his orders to begin with.
I'll see you in a few, Batman. Iden out.
With that, Iden hung up quite promptly.
Several minutes later, Iden's bike slid to a halt in front of the club in question. He was there for a pickup, and so he pushed through the line. The bouncer let him by, his pass was still active, thankfully. This time, he didn't rent out a victim. He wasn't hungry, all told, but did have a person in mind.
Finding Thrar wasn't hard. Not at all. Part of the note he'd left with the kid, meant for the owner of the establishment, was to keep him in a specific room.
So, whatever Thrar was doing, his door would slam open quite loudly. Be it that he were feeding, sleeping, or in general just dicking off, Iden didn't care. He stood in the door, arms folded over his chest.
Alright, kid. Time to go.

Thrar looked up from his notebook and showed a weak smile.
"So what happens now?" There were dark circles under his eyes and his shoulders drooped as if he didn't realize he couldn't suffer from not sleeping anymore.

Oh sweet God, you look like hell.
Iden glanced at the notebook, and smirked.
Good man. Right. Up. We're going for a ride. Hurry it up.
Iden clapped his gloved hands together, and waved to the door. He was clearly in some manner of hurry.

Thrar quickly stood and donned his vest. After putting his vest on he quietly followed Iden. He blinked and shivered as he emerged into the night air.
"Still bloody cold."

Shaddup, you'll get used to it.
It was a terse comment. Iden, for one, seemed hardly phased by the British winter, despite that he was donned in his usual light garb.
Out front, a car was waiting. Was it Iden's? No. But it was one Iden had access to, given that he knew the driver. Iden's bike wasn't good for this sort of thing, but he had it thought out.
Get in, keep your head down. You get spotted, it's your neck on the line. Got it?
Iden more or less shoved Thrar to the car, and then mounted his own bike. One of the ghouls working with him got on behind him, and the halfassed convoy took off.
The car, for one, moved with traffic, and the like. It was the legal driver. Iden himself was running a similar route, but on a different set of roads. If the pack wanted Thrar back, they'd have to ID the right vehicle first off. Past that...it wasn't like either was incapable of dealing with whatever cropped up.
Interruptions were blessedly light. Iden, for one, didn't see anything worthy of actively breaking out his firepower for. Either the pack was not in the area, or they weren't looking to make an open move. After all, it was the city streets, in plain sight.
Arrival at the HQ was a cloak and dagger affair. Iden got there first, and his wingman was in the building quickly. The car would arrive shortly thereafter, and Iden was outside and waiting. He pulled open the car door, and smirked at Thrar.
Come on, kid. Gotta friend you might wanna meet.

*Raoul looked up as the ghoul was ushered in, recognising him as one of Iden;s team instantly. Nodding tersley, he stood and came to the door*
Bring them in here. I'll tell my people to let them straight through behind the desk. Set the fire alarms off - I dont know if we have any Sabbat undercover in the Town Hall for 'legitamate' business.
*In short order, the fire alarm sounded, and IDen woudl find it easy to smuggle Thrar in in the resulting chaos*

As Thrar was shepherded into the car, he began looking a bit frightened. The Matrix-esque ride insued he began taking in his surroundings and getting more and more spooked. As the driver made the turns he tried to keep track of where in the city he was but soon got lost. Finally the car ride ended he was looking like the proverbial deer in the headlights.
As Iden showed him out of the car he stood and took a good look at the building infront of him...just in time to jump three feet in the air as the fire alarm went out. The moment his feet touched the ground he dove for the nearest bit of cover which happened to be beneath the car.

No...no he wasn't. Iden's hand reached out faster than the kid could act, and snagged him by the back of the shirt.
C'mon, kid. Can't help you if you won't let me. 'Sides...you DONT want to be under the car when it starts moving again.
Iden tugged quite sharply, sharp enough to keep the kid on his feet.
Seriously. I'd rather not have to DRAG you in here. I'm just introducing you to my boss. Better him then the guy that's prolly looking for you after you ran, right?
Iden sighed, and let go of Thrar's shirt. If the kid wanted to run, Iden would let him get a few paces...and maybe kneecap him once he hit thirty feet. But, he trusted Thrar's sense enough to let go to begin with.
As Raoul made it to the door, Iden's grin faded just a bit. He turned his head over his shoulder, and glared at Thrar.
Whatever you do, don't follow my lead. I know this guy. You do not. More importantly, if you piss him off, he won't help you.
His warning delivered, Iden walked forward, heading towards the door where Raoul stood.
Batman. This's the kid. He don't look like much, I know. So....where's the party?
Iden's head tilted upwards, his brow raised at the notion of the fire alarm.

*Raoul said nothing, simply turned and led the way back to his office. Once all of them were inside, the alarms cut off and Raoul sat at his desk. Calmly, he picked up a remote, steepled his fingers and looked at Iden*
If I remember correctly, you have a small trinket of mine on your ankle. Call me batman again, and I will not only put it to its appropriate use, but I will ALSO send you a few more puppies to look after. Now. Does the boy even know WHAT he is? Start filling me in, I dont care which of you does it. Oh and you...
*He pointed at Thrar, leaning forward to display the slightly furred ears he bore and almost Husky-like eyes that were clearly not human*
Know that I am well beyond what you are currently capable of believing and I will be able to smell it if you lie.

On a scale of one to terrified, Thrar was one suprise away from coming unglued. He just stood there drawing a blank for a few seconds before he started.
"Well, the extent of what I know is that my family and I were vacationing here when we were attacked. I died but aparently that doesn't matter any more. I know that sun burns, water doesn't hurt anything, garlic smells as repulsive as ever but not any more, holy relics are also touchable. Aside from that not too much."
His gaze began nervously flickering between Iden and Raoul.

Aw come on. Not like it doesn't fit, not with the fuzzies you flaunt. Ramon's fine, by the way.
Iden sighed, dissappointed at his fun being so rapidly spoiled. He shook his head slowly, and waved his hand to Thrar.
What he said. Ask him for the full story...sounds like he got whacked by a Lasombra, from the way he tells, for business reasons. He says his name is Thrar, and was in the city on vacation from the US. So far I got nothing on the Sire, but admittedly we only just started. Also, you're a cheap b*****d for pulling the trinket card.
Iden sighed, and leaned back against the wall, next to the door. His arms folded across his chest, and he shook his head.
Not a topic he liked to discuss. Raoul had touched a sore spot indeed.

The trinket is what proves you work for me, childe, and that I am your commander. If you cant show respect, dont be suprised I used it against you.
*He settled back in his seat, sipped from a glass of merlot, though it was LITERALLY just enough to taste, and then he phrased his questions*
Iden. Does he know what he is? OR is his head just filled with old movies? And you kid.. Thrar?.. tell me exactly what happened to you. I dont need the reasons - business is business, we're in that market ourselves, BUT, I do need to know the exact physical nature of what happened to you to kill you and bring you back. Because you ARE right in that one thing - you ARE dead. All three of us are.

Seeing that he wasn't in any immediate danger from Iden or Raoul, he began.
"Well, when I got back to the room it was pitch black inside even though there were lights in the hall. There was something in the shadow that kept attacking me. It was nipping and slashing at me. Eventually it went for the neck and I died. The next thing I knew I felt something burning in the back of my throat and I saw my family sitting by the man just grinning like they were watching a show. After that I...well..."
With that Thrar tapered off and turned away from the pair.
