Behold... hunter rules.... changes, suggestions, etc. welcomed since I dun really know what to do with Hunters and these are Lyre's suggestions.

1. Vampire hunters go through blood rites that are similar to creating vampires in the old ways, ironically enough, instead of imbuing them with darkness it imbues them with a power that many believe to be holy. It gives long life and longivity. Their powers increase greatly giving their very skin the ability to weild power. The different orders vary in these techniques but they're usually obtained in the same ways. Some orders just rely on human gut instinct rather than such things as not every hunter even knows about ritual.

2. Those that are imbued or those that are very faithful can use a holy symbol to drive back a vampire, bless water to be used as a weapon, and even cure wounds. Sometimes that power is used in reverse to wound the undead.

3. All hunters who go through the rituals of extended life and power go mad at some point due to their filling a blood fued eventaully with a single vampire. They give up their quest and unfortunately due to the rites feel discomfort at not fulfilling the duty they pledged to do at the inception of power. Many go insane or even kill other human beings becoming worse monsters than what they had initially set out to hunt.

4. A few hunters through power and intuition at hunting the unnatural learn tricks and techniques for tracking the undead. They usually find them pretty easily, but that doesn't mean they're always a match. Ancient vampires require many hunters working cooperatively to take down. Thus monastic and fraternal orders were created to establish a base line to do so.

I'm about to open midnight council HQ. Lyre, tell me what you think of this description on it. I'm placing it on and then starting... woot.

Located in Venice, Italy as a conclave created by Anthony Sparrow for the rulership of vampires throughout the world, the council serves many functions. Typically it's very secrative and membership is extremely exclusive. The council votes in its own members as well as policies that are enforced by the will of ancient vampires who sit on said council.

(Characters will need Lyre's aproval to be on the council. If you don't have it, you're not on it, so don't create a profile stating that you are. However, you can feel free to create an old vampire to see if you can get approved through RP.)
