"That he does." Lisa said with a smile. She got down a glass and made Sapphire a glass of Lemon Tea. She handed the drink to the girl and sat at the counter. "Where have the boys been tonight?" Lisa asked. She asked a straight question and expected a straight answer, and would know if she didn't get one or if one of the girls lied. But she doubted either of them would do that.

Sapphire looked at Day and then back at Saint. "The four of us were at a party. Acoince was singing on stage and Tommy was on the Phone." Sapphire didnt really know what to say, she thought Acoince's parents knew where they were.

"A party?" Lisa echoed. "What kind of party?" She asked the girls when Sapphire stopped talking. She was pretty sure her kids wouldn't do anything to get in trouble, but wanted and hoped that she was sure.

"The guys went to a football party, Tommy went too because he was on, but got cut. I am a cheerleader, so I found them there." Sapphire said. "We were all there, nothing bad I swear, Mrs. Perone! We all had only sodas, Well you know Tommy, he had only water."

"I believe you." Lisa said to the girl. "How long have you guys all been dating? And how often do you four go out and party?" Lisa asked them in a soft manner, she wasn't mad, she just wanted to know.

"Tommy and I have been dating for about a year." Sapphire admitted. She knew he never mentioned her before. She wanted it this way, she didn't want Saint's foster family to ask allot of questions. "My parents know of him, but they have never met him before."

Chris sent a grateful look at his wife as she led the girls into the kitchen. Alone with the boys, he stood in front of them with his hands clasped behind his back. For a few moments, he stood there in silence, studying the boys' faces. Guide me, Lord, he prayed before beginning.
"I love you," he said finally. "I love both of you because I am your father. Thomas, I know you have only recently begun living here, but I feel as though God has put you under my wing as my own son. And because I love you, I have to be strict with you, especially now that you have disobeyed Lisa and me. Acione: We have raised you better than this and you know it. I cannot understand why you choose to act this way all of a sudden. And Thomas: I know you came from a home with very different values, but it's high time we teach you ours.
"First of all, both of you need to let either your mother or me know when you want to go somewhere. You tell us where you are going, who else is going to be there, what you plan on doing there, and when you are coming back. Secondly, it's gonna be a while before you have to do that because you're both grounded. Two weeks. You go straight to school and come straight back. If your bosses schedule you to work, you go straight to work and come straight back. You will come to church with us on Sunday mornings. That's it. If you disobey me once more, it will be doubled to four weeks. After that, eight weeks, and so on. Is that clear?"

"Yes, Sir." Saint answered, he twitched at the Chris' final words. He wasn't going to disobey this time. This was his final chance. He was actually relieved to be grounded, that meant that the man calling would have to wait two weeks for Saint to go.

"A year." Lisa echoed. She was happy to know that Saint had someone he could trust, and talk to. She just wished she could know that their relationship was good and that they could depend on each other. She didn't ask anymore of Sapphire, however, she gave her a smile and then looked at Day, "And Day, what about you and Acione?"

"Over a year. My parents don't know about him though. I don't think they'd like him because he's a football player and lives about three lives; football, family, and him and me." Day replied.
Acoine just sighed at his dad and walked to his room. He locked the door.

"What do you mean by three lives?" Lisa asked. She was suddenly all the more aware of the pressure to be who everyone else wants you to be when you are popular or hang out with certain people.

Sapphire kicked Day silently and gave her a piercing stare. She shook her head softly, hoping that Mrs. Perone didn't notice.

"I just meant that he doesn't sing around here, he doesn't like being seen around with me when there are people that will snich on us for being in a relationship, and he has to be the greatest football player on the team."
Acoine snuck out the window and ran around te block. It was cold out that morning and he knew that his mom was intarigateing Day and Saphire. He right now didn't care. He was running as fast as he could and started off around the street and so he could cool off.
