Aoaka smiled and nodded. "I would like that, Polgara," he said. He was having a great time now, lack of dancing skill not withstanding, and it was all because of her. He was happy to spend time with her doing anything.

As the song ended, Polgara started to pull Aoaka towards the refreshment table, and upon reaching it, she broke away from him and got herself a plate, piling it with a few things she knew she liked quite a lot. Then she got herself a drink of punch, and was very glad to know that this would be a dry party.
When she drank, she tended to get a bit TOO tipsy, and that lead her into trouble, and trouble was not what she wanted tonight, she wanted tonight to be special.
Smiling at Aoaka, she motioned for him to follow when he was ready, and she found them a seat at an empty table near the back of the room, not quite out of sight, but enough for her peace of mind.
Already her mind was forming plans as to how she wanted this night to go, and if she was lucky, she would get what she wanted. A smile crept upon her lips, widening the grin that had been there before. Yes, a plan this cunning would do her well indeed.
Popping a piece of fruit into her mouth, she waited, now she would bide her time. Aoaka wouldn't know what hit him!

spookyx7 "Wow, that's pretty neat." Noel touched the blade with her other hand, it was sharp. She then thought about it melting and it did. THe blade was gone leaving her finger bare. Ra smiled. "See good things happen around me. though I will warn you to be careful with that, I mean you could poke your eye out or some thing like that." he was so fatherly to so many pae that it made him wonder what happened to the ones that he had once helped out had they all grown up in to beautiful adults with powers of there own.

Aoaka followed along with Polgara, getting several things for his own plate. Some shrimp, some fruit, vegetables, and a glass of punch. The buffet was wonderfully appointed.
He was glad the table was out of the way, he was still somewhat nervous in the crowd, and he wanted to be alone with Polgara, anyway.
Oblivious to the plotting going on behind that pretty smile, Aoaka responded with a smile of his own, and tried some of the shrimp he'd taken. A content sigh escaped him. It was good. Not as good as Hula Bob's perhaps, but it was good.
"So, what have you been doing since the last time we talked?" he asked, curious.

"Oh not much," Polgara said as she wrapped one of her fingers into her hair and started to toy with her locks, eyes locked on Aoaka. "Mainly taking care of children as I find them," Her smile changed shape again, away from the cunning and more into a womanly, motherly shape. "I was taking care of children in the nursery when I saw you come in, so I passed it off to my daughter," She laughs a little, covering her mouth with her other hand. "I'm sure she'll handle it well, she has boys of her own,"
She didn't feel too bad about leaving, the Nursery had been well staffed when she'd skittered off to spend time with Aoaka, besides, she was sure her daughter would understand.
"What about you Aoaka? Been doing anything fun?" She grinned again, already scootting her chair closer to him, in fact, as she'd started to conversation her chair had moved several inches closer to the man she intended to ask out on a more steady basis by the end of the night.
She just needed to seal the deal by planting a big old kiss on him. After all, sometimes a girl had to use her wiles to get what she wanted, and what she wanted, was Aoaka.

spookyx7 Karma smiled, "Thanks." She continued her movements and then watched Alaera's. "Wow, you look great too." She was right, Fate had led them to the dancefloor. Karma danced to where she circled Alaera, Karma was having fun.
Alaera smiled and blushed a bit at the compliment, her skin starting to lighten and glow slightly. She could never control her power through strong emotions, embarassment being one of them.
The music started to change to a folkish tune, she laugh, and linked elbows with Karma and started to skip about in a circle with her friend.

Karma saw the other girl start to glow, "How pretty!" She hadn't seen any pae do that before. Karma felt the girl link arms with hers and followed Alaera's lead with a smile.

Alaera blushed harder, which only caused her glow to brighten. "Umm, thank you. No ones ever called my power pretty before, usually just gets me into trouble." Her face fell as she thought of the past momentarily before brightening back up. She cocked her head to the side, almost breathless as they were dancing around. "It's called Electroluminescence. Can you imagine learning how to spell that as a kid" she laughed. "What's your power Karma?"

Karma held fast to Alaera's arm as the danced in a circle, "Oh, well I think it's really pretty." Karma giggled at Alaera's joke, that would be hard to spell. "My power? I don't think I have one." She knew Fate would give her one, one day, but she didn't think she did yet.

"Oh? Well that's ok. My aunt Sally, she doesn't have a power either. I'm not sure why I thought we were all born with one but I guess not. I heard though that there's a hut somewhere in the forest where you can make a potion to get a power, maybe you should visit there!!!" She suggested helpfully.
Alaera stopped dancing, out of breath. "I'm kinda tired now, you want to go get some punch?"

"Fate will decide when it's time for me to gain my power. That's whay I've always believed anyway." Karma nodded, but knew that hut wasn't for her.
"Yeah, me too. Maybe we can get a drink and then sit down?" She saw quite a few tables and was ready for a rest. The dancing was loads of fun.

Alaera nodded. "Yeah that sounds good. Maybe we could sit with some other Pae." She added as she started to walk over and ladle herself some red looking liquid out of a bowl. She sniffed it before taking a sip and nearly choked.
"Oh my that's sweet." She somehow managed to cough out.

Karma looked around, not know who to sit with. "Sure." She then watched Alaera choke on the drink, "Is it that bad?" Karma didn't mind sweet stuff and took a sip herself. She giggled, "Yeah, it's pretty sweet."

Alaera cough a few more times. "No, its not bad, just a lot sweeter then mom used to make it. 'Course back then I was a kid and it wasn't a very good idea to give me much sugar. " Alaera laughed at the momery of her mothers face when she had shown up completely covered in mud, with string wrapped around her, barely able to walk.
"Did you have have sugar as a kid?" She asked curiously. It seemed kinda hard to believe that Karma could ever get so hyper.
