Celeste walked down the street shaking her head. Not the damn war again, it seemed to follow her. She couldnt escape it!
"Why wont it just leave me in peace.." She muttered miserably as she tried to weave through the streets, she didnt travel far from the house though, as she did not know her way around well.
"Why oh why did I leave without some Jasmine tea." She groaned, it had been a severely long time since she had last drank hot tea.

Tsuzuki shook her head, "You worry too much. At least, more than you need to. Did you see her? She was so shaken up. She's probably some sort of a refugee or something of the likes. She wouldn't dare risk anything else unless her family's life was at stake. But, this would have been the perfect time to attack us and she didn't. We also didn't give her anything to go tell the King about."
She lay on the floor, "I know we're deffinately not leaving now but when can we leave this place?"

"As soon as this business with the king was sorted out. Not to mention, I was planning to return to Amayen a week from now. You're welcome to come with me."
He sipped his tea thoughtfully.
"Zayiya should arrive this evening, knowing Shuro's speed. Even though she's my ambassador, I consider her my most trusted advisor. SHe'll know what to do. Besides," he grinned. "I'll be able to give her that souvenier."

Tsuzuki smiled, remembering the gift that she had shown him. She had quite an eye for things while shopping and knew what was worth the money and what wasn't. Most things weren't and she only bought necessities but there were those rare items that were worth more than their price tag. "I hope she'll like it."
She then created a fire ball in her hand and tosses it up and down as she lay on the floor, "I can't wait to meet her. Even if she is a fun-squisher."

((I'm going to speed things along, to give us a wee bit more action))
The next few hours passed in the droll melancholy of people with nothing to do and nothing else they were allowed to do. Halfway through the afternoon, Baolin took up a habit of soft tapping in an anxious attempt to relieve his pent-up energy.
Then, a knock sounded at the door.

Tsuzuki didn't move from her spot. She was meditating- a form everyone and anyone could practice with enough experience - and didn't want to move. Besides, it was probably Baolin's guests. She awoke from her trance enough to talk without opening her eyes. Her voice was slurred and sleepy as she said, "You get it."

Baolin didn't need telling twice. He sprang from his seat and rushed to the door, sliding it open to reveal the very individual he had been waiting for.
Zayiya was clad in her traveling gear, which was still delicate and elegant in appearance, if not in construction. Her auburn locks were pulled away from her creamy face in a tight braid, her lovely amethyst eyes positively glowing in the-
"It is good to see you again, Baolin," she said with a deep bow, ever the stickler for tradition. Baolin bowed in retrn, though there was little he could do about the grin on his face. Shuro swept past them, completely ignoring what he usually called the 'romantic reunions'.
"Hey, firebug, how's it going?" he called.
"I trust your stay in Ba Sing Se has been well?" Zayiya asked, which was, of course, Zayiya-tongue for 'What the hell have you been up to?'
"Erm, come inside," Baolin said, taking her hand and pulling her in, shutting the door behind her.

Tsuzuki groaned at Shuro, "So bored! What do you do around here for fun? Baolin's about as lively as a sack full of dirt. Thank the spirits your back."
She then noticed Zayiya. She was increadibly beautiful and could see why Baolin was attracted to her. She couldn't help but grin at her as she came in and wave even though she wasn't sure what Zayiya would do about her presence in Baolin's household.
((Amethyst is spelled a-m-e-t-h-y-s-t. That's my best friend of eleven year's name so I should know by now. whee ))

((Thanks. I always mess up on that one.))
"Hey-" Baolin retorted, hearing her description of him, but a sharp glance from Zayiya cut him off.
The waterbender bowed to Tsuzuki, sliding her hands inside her sleeves in a formal gesture.
"I understand you have kept my duke company in my absence," she said softly. "And I thank you for it. He does tend to need looking after. My name is Zayiya."
She extended a hand.

Tsuzuki stared at her hand for a moment; the Fire Nation and the Water Tribes weren't exactly best friends. But took it strongly and shook it heartily, "It's very nice to meet you too, Zayiya. I've heard a lot about you. Name's Tsuzuki Okami of the Fire Nation."
She looked around with a smile she only used when she knew that things were about to get interesting, "It looks like the only thing we're missing now is an Air Nomad. But I've yet to meet one. I was planning on taking a trip there soon but-"
She cut herself off, realizing that she was rambling again, "Sorry about that. I tend to talk a lot."

"It's quite all right. I assume Baolin told you I was a waterbender." Zayiya smiled. She could understand why Baolin had taken a liking to this girl; she gave off a true aura of friendliness. "Many peopel make such a misconception, but I am not of the water tribe. I was raised in Amayen, therefore I am Earth Kingdom."

Tsuzuki nodded, not loosing her friendly smile as she did so, and said, "He did tell me this. I'm glad to know although one of my greatest friends is from the Northern Water Tribe."
She went to the counter and re-heated the pot of tea before pouring another four glasses. She put the cups on different sides of the table and sat on the side closest to the living room. "Let's get down to buisness," Tsuzuki said as she pulled a piece of paper from her pocket.
She unrolled it and read it aloud:
"Dearest Tsuzuki,
"Daughter, we have realized why you've run away and must have you realize that it was not your fault what happened. We miss you very much and love you. Your father and I wish for your safe return.
"Safety has grown as a concern lately. We have heard intelligent reports that there is a war on the rise and with you home as soon as possible. We are not sure if any nation will celebrate the arival of a girl from the fire nation any longer.
"We love you and pray for your safe return, Mother and Father
"That's the letter I recieved from my parents about a month and a half ago. My parents are two of the highest nobles in the Fire Nation and recieve many important messages which they relay to the Fire Lord. They wouldn't send something like this out to me unless they were absolutely sure that it was going to happen."
Tsuzuki's face was stretched into a wide smile of exitement and anxiety instead of the worry that most would expect after reading such a letter. She had gone over it so many times that it no longer bothered her.

"It would seem that the war was a certain thing even before it was common knowledge, then," Zayiya murmured.
"I can't believe them," Shuro snorted. "I mean, the fire nation goes and makes war for a hundred years, and now that it's nice and peaceful, they've gotta go do it again."
"Shuro," Baolin snapped. "If you want to have that sort of an attitude, you can leave this room."

Tsuzuki shot Shuro a dirty look and said in a severe tone, "We may have a superiority complex but let me inform you my ancestors were not lead into war readily and neither am I."
She then turned to Zayiya, "Not necessarily. My parents own this small port town where a lot of. . . shady buisness dealings happen. They hear a lot of things seeing as a lot of the Fire Lord's spies like to stay there right after they complete a mission. It makes a pretty nice vacation spot and a good cover.
"But they wouldn't have heard anything about this from the Fire Lord himself. He never gives us any information about the state of war and hasn't for many centuries. He didn't even let my ancestors know anything during the previous war. Now, why would he all of a sudden change his tune?"
She set down her cup of tea on the counter as she leaned up against it, "Whatever this things is, I'm pretty sure the Fire Lord has no idea that it's going on. And that means. . ."
She paused, "We have no idea who's behind it and how they're going to pull it off."
