angrymalazar Whathead My favourite Bass players would be Geddy Lee from Rush, Geezer Butler from Black Sabbath and the Bass player from Primus. Les Claypool... Thank you for correcting me I couldn't think of his name.

Right now it's Peter Hook. Something about his style I've always liked.

i like Flea quite a lot. he's got that bad-a** stype bassist that you can't ignore. his bass says, "look at me, i'm running the show around here." and you can't deny it, 'cause it is. it is

Troy Sanders from Mastodon
1) He always harmonizes with the guitars and it sounds awesome.
2) he has the metalist beard EVER!

Fractured Tangerine Matt Rubano from Taking Back Sunday Good choice. :] He has to be my third favorite. Second is Claypool, Primus. First is Mark Hoppus, from Blink 182. He's my idle. :]]

That's a difficult question, but I think overall it's Jaco Pastorius of Weather Report/solo/other projects. Victor Wooten's a close second, and Geezer Butler deserves mention for being a huge inspiration to me. I like a lot of bassists though.

Tim Commerford from Rage Against The Machine. He plays simple, funky riffs & some pretty hard riffs to be chalanged by. He is so locked in with Brad Wilk. He is the number 1 best underrated bassist!

Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy), Burke Shelly (Budgie) and Geddy Lee (Rush). All 3 of them are legendary bassists. If you haven't heard of Budgie btw, then check them out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=54H3EUAzpVg

I have several all on the same level:
first my friend Ethan, he pushed me (without knowing it) to teach myself how to play bass and is also helping me. second is Toshiya from Dir en grey; third is Kisaki from Phantasmagoria; and last but not least Reita from The Gazette.

I went and saw a Dir en Grey show without really listening to them before hand, weird s**t. It was pretty good, but the 13 year old Hot Topic girl ratio was way high. That and 20 bucks for ******** parking...
