He was silent to think through how to explain to Nic what he felt on the matter.
"There are things we cannot change, the path we walk has guard rails, but I believe that we have to walk that path as long as we stay within the guard rails we're fine."
He wished she could understand, but knew that his thinking was very abstract.

Nic cocked her head a little bit, his explation seemed a bit odd. But kept her thought to herself. Something inside her continued to tell her that he is different. He's not like everyone else. But everytime Nic would ignore it, finally shaking away all the thoughts. 'I just wish there was an even middle we could talk about, no history, and no present...just...now' Nic thought silently. Then glancing out of the corner of her eye at Rue.

Gail quietly sat in his room. It was a medium size, having only the common things to have. There was a table off to the corner with a mirror hanging above it. His bed was neatly made, except for the few crinkles that pressed into where he sat. The flat paneled closet remained shut, and two drawers sat off to the side of it. Gail sat on the bed, thinking to himself and what was about to come. It was all silent until Victor burst through the door, breathing violently in hard drawn breaths. Gail quickly stood up and rushed to steady him.
“What is it Victor… what?” Gail urged, utterly confused to Victor’s straggling breath.
“My sin has come to haunt me Gail… even running to the Rehk was futile.” Victor barely said through his heavy breaths. Gingerly he stood up and glanced around the room nervously.
“What do you mean Victor, you have to be more specific.” Gail shook him slightly, attempting to bring him back to reality. Victor shook his head and steadied himself.
“Years ago… when I told you about my experiments with the U.F., and how we were working on a special project under the direction of professor Xellien.” He paused for a brief second, “The experiment, I don’t know how, but is onboard the ship.” Victor stressed greatly through infuriated bewilderment.
“He’s onboard... this cant be put off.” Gail lifted his hands from his old friend’s shoulders and walked towards the door. “Thank you Victor… and I’m sorry.” Gail added before leaving the room.

The door to the medical room slid open and Terrek stepped through. Casually he scanned the room until his eyes fell on Rue.
“Hey Rue, I need your help with something, could you come here for a second?” He asked a simple grin.

Niko waited patiently as the doctor was securing the splint on his left leg. When it was done, Niko got up and limped to the door, feeling every step as though as a freight car hit him everytime.
I must see White Dragon, the 901 needs me....
The door opened and Niko limped down the hall, toward the hanger...

((Oh, sorry svener! I'm no longer in the infirmiry. Nic and I were walking to the hanger where all the LFOs are at the moment.))
Rue caught Nic's eye, or he thought he did. So...what was it she wanted him to say? Rue mentally reached out and just thought of the one thing that he knew would strike a conversation.
"So...where does your path lead after this, Nic?"

Nic almost fully stopped when Rue asked her his question. She had never really thought that far.
"I don't really know. I just take everything day to day...as if there is nothing to follow." Nic said then looking up to see where she was going. She was never one to really believe in such things as fate. Everything was open and you did what you felt, it may have an impact on something it may not. Then starting to walk at a normal pace again Nic looked over for a moment then at the ground.
"I feel that your actions are not written for you but by you." Nic started to laugh a little but stopped, she couldn't believe what was coming out of her mouth.

Rue saw the turmoil that Nic felt from this situation. He had to press.
"I just want to know...Do you see your actions continuing with the Gekko....or perhaps maybe somewhere else?"
Why was he asking her this? Its not like he wanted her to say something of if there was even anything she could say that he wanted to hear.

"I...if I find what I think I've been loking for, then my time with the Gekko is over. But until then...well..." Nic tried to find the owrds that she wanted. 'Why i he asking me these things? What is so interesting about me?' Nic asked her self.

"Silence.......he's not going to answer..........I knew it......"
Kayako narrowed her eyes at the doctor behind her before turning forward again and following the guards out of the room.
"Fine, if he doesn't wanna tell me I'll just figure it out myself!!"
She walked down the hall, trying to find some way to get out of this mess. The doctor claimed he wasn't going to hurt her, but something in her gut made her uneasy. She didn't trust him, or his eeire smile.
As she reached what was for now her room, she thought silently about what her next move would be.

I have to find 901.... I have too.....
Niko was limping as fast as he could through the Rehk. The ship was bigger than it looks but that didn't slow Niko. He's studied enough ship layouts to figure this one out and where it's hanger is. When Niko rounded a corner, he saw 2 people walking and talking.
Isn't that the guy who saved me.... and who is that he is walking with?.... it doesn't matter....
Niko limped right through them and past them. He didn't care about the affairs of others and he had to wonder, why was it in human nature to get attached to someone?

Rue was going to tell her. He was going to say exactly what he had in mind. He wanted to know what it is she was looking for, to break her away from the gekko, but...the pilot went limping by. Rue's thoughts were thrown into a mess at this pilot.
'He's awake?'
Rue thought. He ran to catch up to the pilot.
"Hey, where are you going? Lemme help you out, you're still pretty scathed from the encounter."

Niko didn't even bother to look back at the pilot who was calling for him. He kept on going forward to the hangar.
I've never needed help before, not from anyone! Why would I need his help. I can cope with the pain like before....

Left behind and disheartened, Rue had no idea what to do or say. He reached out as if to stop the pilot, though he wasn't anywhere near close enough to do so.
'Why...why can't i help him.....why can't i help anybody!?'
He sighed...it was....something he wanted and yet couldn't do.

Before Nic realized what she was doing she already had her arms around Rue. Quickly taking a step back she looked around to see if anyone saw her hugging Rue. Then started to rub the back of her neck while looking at the floor.
'What was I thinking?!' Nic thought to herself.
"Uhh..heh sorry...about that..."
(this is still sort of zumie...)

Rue blushed, beat red, at the small sign of affection from his newly found friend. He saw her embarassment, but wished he could take it away. He grabbed her hand and smiled.
"Come on, let's go see if we can talk to Grey now, okay?"
