Hi, my name is Abby, and I'm new to the guild, having been on Gaia for about four days and in theatre for as long as I can remember. I love musical theatre, and my favorite shows right now are Avenue Q, 25th Annual, and Assassins. A few of my standing favorites would be Guys & Dolls, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, CATS, Sweeney Todd, and Into the Woods.

I'm 16, and I'm a college student at the local community college studying Theatre Arts; I want to transfer to NYU in a year. I'm also in a youth repertory group which performs Shakespeare and improv, and I'm a ginormous fan of both.

I think that's about everything. Nice to meet you all!

Hello!

I'm new to the guild. I'm 24 and I work as a stage manager. The last professional show I saw was Avenue Q it was so funny. The last show I worked on was A Christmas Carol. I love theatre and would like to meet new people on the site so I just wanted to send a hello to everyone.

I'm Zoey (Or Denoument. I hope sincerely that you theatre nerds get that.) I'm a junior in high school and am in my first year of the Theatre Major Studies program. I've been in every play that my school has done since third grade and have played everything from Eurydice in Metamorphoses to Simon Stimson in Our Town, plus I was a reader in a workshop called PupFest for Kitchen Dog Theatre in which student-written plays are read for an audience. Currently we're doing Marriage of Bette and Boo for UIL competition (I'm Emily, the crazed cellist.) I was also a really serious dancer up until this year when I had to quit on account of my a*****e father not paying child support in five years or so. My main focus was on ballet and lyrical, and I was a principal at Dreamcatcher Dance and Creative Workshops (Lucia in Wemmickville) and helped Plano Dance theatre win a few competitions.

I'd like to go to either Colorado State, Sam Houston State, or SMU. I plan on either acting or being a federal agent (NCIS, all the way!)

Ok, my turn.

Hi, my name is Sierra. I'm a 19 year old tech theatre major and art minor. I attend a small school in southern Arkansas, Ouachita Baptist University. I spend most of my tech time in either costumes or props, or the horror of both for a play/musical. I have perfected the art of getting a business to lend our department items for a play.

Some of my favorite musicals include Into the Woods, Anything Goes, The Who's Tommy, and Spamalot.

Some of my favorite plays include Skin of Our Teeth, The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man in the Moon Marigolds, Rope, Waiting for Lefty, and An Actors Worst Nightmare.

Hi, I'm Silvy. I'm a theater addict. My mother put me in a childrens production and I never left the theater. I love seeing shows (Musicals or not,) acting in them, teching (I just finished a term as prop slave,) and writing. The favorite part I've ever had is Lt. Brannagin in Guys and Dolls, which is actually a male roll, but it somehow got changed just for me. eek

Hey hey, I'm Lisa. I'm 18 and living in Ottawa, Canada. I've been performing 'since I popped out of the womb and haven't stopped. I'm constantly in shows or cabarets, and when I'm not it feels like a part of me is missing. I've been in:
Guys and Dolls (Bubbles - a flapper)
Little Shop Of Horrors (Crystal)
Little Women (Jo)
The Music Man (Mrs. Shinn)
Annie (Orphan/Ickes)
Anything Goes (Mrs. Harcourt)

...but my current love affair is with my role as Rizzo in Grease.
so.much.fun.

I do the odd tech job at the local amature theatre hall when they have a show on, but I really want to be cast in one of them someday. They have a hierarchy, and usually cast members that have been around for a long time. I'm at that age where I'm too old to be a 'kid' and too young to be an 'adult'. Meh.. in time..

I'm new, I've just taken a few days to getting anround to typing an intro post here sweatdrop

My name is Greta, I'm 21 and in my third year as a musical theater major at YSU. I've been in music/dance/onstage either all at once or one at a time for as long as I can recall.

My forte is my voice (both speaking and singing) and I intend to continue on after my undergrad specializing in Shakespeare... dream programs being over at the Royal Academy in London or down in Alabama.

I also work backstage a good deal of the time since my professors aren't fond of double casting when two main stage shows are in rehearsal. My backstage areas of expertise are costuming (from designing, to building, to dresser/wardrobe super: name it, I've done it) and scenic painting.

In all honesty, I just love learning about all aspects of theater and intend to be a life-long student of theater... then again, at what point do any of us stop learning in theater xd

Hello, fellow Drama-ins...? XD 3nodding

Anyways, my name is Aggie (short for Agnieszka... people prefer to use my nickname) I am newly 16 as of May 21st. I'm a sophomore in high school, and I attend the International Academy. It was the number one school in America... then dropped to 2... and now we're 9th... darn that Nwesweek... anyhoo; I've been acting my whole life... as long as you count those little shows you put on for your family... I joined Drama in 6th grade, and I was in the chorus for all except one of my middle school plays. Last year, I did tech for the first time, and, well, I love it. This year, I got parts in both plays. I was Mrs. Webb in Our Town, and one of the Doo Wops in Little Shop. And, yes, I am white. Does that really matter, though? Blind casting is fun! *ahem* My ideal life would be to be a famous musician or actress, but, I''m going to settle on being a writer. I am currently working on my first novel... its not very long yet... but I plan on finishing it this summer, and get it published... I hope...
EDIT: the only show that I've seen was Mary Poppins in London (frickin' awesome! go see it when it comes to New York sometime soon), but I'm going to see Wicked on the 3rd. w00t!

Well, that was my insanely long rant, I hope you enjoyed it. ^_<
