An oubliette was a form of dungeon which was accessible only from a hatch in a high ceiling. To exit an oubliette was impossible under any circumstances, without outside help. The word comes from the French oublier, "to forget," as it was used for prisoners whom it was desired to forget about.One example of a particularly claustrophic oubliette is in the dungeon of Warwick Castle, in central England.

star_baby i dont care what you do, i really dont, but if you stay, tone it down--thats all i want. wow, okay, this got really serious really quick. For starters, SHoc, I and butternuts (most likely) Appriciate you standing up for him BUT it isn't really your place. If he has a problem with something he DOES have a mouth. TWO, Starbaby, don't let out pent up anger that you have for a bunch of people all out on crazy. What happens outside the dungeon should be lkaft out the door of the dungeon. Didn't think I needed to state that, but since I had to... It applies for everyone. Now, both of you have points, but this is a place for crazy, wacky humor, so take all your personal issues outside.
