Usiku still batted her claws at the hind quarters of the other leopard, not intending to hurt but mainly to distract. The panther could already see the blood flowing from the wounds the leopard had inflicted and worried how much blood had already been lost. She had to admit to herself, that the sight and smell of blood was teasing the killer instinct inside of her, but she pushed at it with all of her will.
"Because...it, it just isn't right! Please, just leave this one alone!"
She realized that under any other circumstances the leopard might be right...but...still.
"Just let her go and run, I'll stay here to distract her, alright? There, you won't get your pretty hide hurt."

::Hodari didn't move after that, ears drooping a bit in sadness.... She... she was right.. Oga had been minding her own buissness when they had attacked her....::He dug his claws into her a little more, lowering his head to rest it upon her back....:: "Mizaku......." ::He whispered quietly, trying to hold himself onto the flailing eland so not to be trampled upon..:: "M-maybe...we should... find something else..." ::His heart felt broken now.. what had he been doing..? He....oh geez..::
::The greyish cub let go of the eland's back falling to the ground before crawling away, lying down with his paws upon his head.::

Usiku gave the lion cub an encouraging grin, silently thanking him and turned her head to look back at the leopard.
She looked into his silver eyes, her own green ones sparkling. "Please."

Mizaku shook his head and growled, biting as hard as he could, trying to reach something his mother had told him about. He knew it could kill the eland, and that's what he wanted. He lifted his bloody mouth for a second to speak again...
"No! Not only will she kill me! But I'll starve! If you go around--" he paused to bite into her neck again, and then continued, "Helping prey all the time you'll never eat! And neither will we! Sod! Off!"

Usiku could feel her anger rising as she listened to the male and began to growl underneath her breath. She felt the killing edge rise up inside of her, and instead of attacking the eland...she bit down on the hind leg of the leopard.
Letting go long enough to talk, she spat out "I don't go around saving everything, you fool! One meal that escaped won't starve you." She snarls and bites down again, her claws raking into his backside, now more than ever intent on saving this eland from certain death.

::Hodari kept his head covered, still rather ashamed.. He'd let Mizaku handle this.. He supposed...::The lion sat up, watching the flailing prey-creature and the leopard cub.. They could find something else to eat. Fish, maybe? But, there was no talking Mizaku out of this... No talking him out.. The leopard had his mind made up and there was nothing Hodari could do about it...::

Mizaku hissed, once again feeling the stinging pain from the ebony leopards claws. He finally let go of the eland, un able to stabelize himself with another cub hanging off him. he let out a loud growl and tackled Usiku to the ground as he fell. He pushed on her shoulder with his claws, and went for her neck instead.

Although immensly relieved that the eland was now out of danger, Usiku found herself being pinned on her back with his claws digging into her shoulders. She knew from instinct that he would go for the neck, and when he moved to do so she lowered her head so that her teeth were in range of his jaws if he didn't stop his descent.
After her neck was as protected as it was going to get, the panther concentrated on kicking her hind legs into the stomach of the leopard on top of her.
((I think she's a panther....or is she just a dark leopard?))

"Mizaku, no!" ::Hodari paniced, pouncing at the male leopard cub. He couldn't allow him to attack Usiku! That would only cause trouble. Too much trouble! What if Mizaku was killed while fighting with her? It would be a two against one fight. Mizaku vs. the eland and the leopard female!::"Just let it go! Don't fight! Please don't fight!" ::He wailed..::

Mizaku was flung a bit backwards, but he promptly bit into her tail as he flipping the ground, dragging her along with him. He stood up again and launched himself at Usiku, then soon found himself pinned by....Hodari?! Why was Hodari doing this to him?!
"Did you see what she did to me?! I won't let her get away with it!! Hodari, let me go!!" Mizaku howled, trying desperately to push off Hodari before Usiku returned.

The panther turned her eyes to see the lion cub nearing them, trying to stop the fight. In this state, the leopard cub might even turn on him.
"Stay back, this is my fault!" She managed to grunt out the words while still shoving her hind legs into the male's stomach.
Usiku growled loudly as her tail was painfully pulled, but quickly regained her balance and righted herself on all fours. She put her body between the eland and the two other males, snarling at the leopard.

::Hodari kept Mizaku pinned down, staring at him with helpless eyes.:: "Just let it go. It's no reason to fight her. If you're mad, take it out on me." ::The lion glanced towards the female, staring with a slightly angered look.:: "Leave him alone..." ::He said rather sternly, allowing Mizaku to get up.::

Mizaku grunted angrily and finaly was able to stand up again, and he glared over at the panther, giving her a sharp, dangerous look.
"No, Hodari, you're my friend..." he said keeping his gaze on the female, "And she's going down! Are you with me or not, Hodari?!" Mizaku hissed and lunged frowards at the black leopard, extending his claws and trying to bite at her neck again.

::Hodari turned around to see that the fighting had begun once more.. His claws dug into the ground as his hind legs took a few steps backwards. He really could do nothing.. Not without hurting Mizaku..::
::The lion stood there, watching as things happened, his eyes still holding that hint of sadness.. This was too hard a choice for the cub to make...::He took a few steps backwards once more, readying himself to runaway..::
