Sibalto slowed and let his lady return to the path before him, nipping at her playfully. Thinking far into the furture for a moment -for far it would be, if he could no longer run- he grinned. Well.. That was a good sign.. She planned on growing old with him... He smiled wider.
"Forever, my love." He stated without hesitation or regret. "I will never stop loving you... You are everything..."

Firefly blushed as she ran. The blood being pumped to the surface of her skin was made worse from running. It almost felt like an all over blush.
As the tree line thinned and opened up more, she started to slow her run. Not wanting to just run right into the teepee area. There might be some skins or other things of Atsila's laying about that were breakable. "Phew. We're almost there."

Sibalto slowed with her, nosing her sleek side as he paced even with her. His breath still came easily, but the faintest of sweat glistened at his shoulder's, a product of the brisk run and warm day, though it was soon to end. He could smell a Kiwani near, and the old scent of hides that made up a teepee and the other necessities of a native's camp. Glancing at his mare he tilted his head in question.
"Shall we then?" He rumbled, nuzzling her lovingly once more.

She smiled broadly as she nuzzled him back, adding a quick nod of her head. "Yes. I'm just hoping she's either there or will be around sometime soon. Though I don't think it would matter really. This area is pretty secluded, so we could probably hang around a bit if Atsila isn't around." Her tail tapped at his side lightly as she flicked it back and forth. Peeking her head over some medium high bushes, Firefly gazed into the teepee area of her two legger.
Ears perked as she listened for signs of life or some sort of movement. But from the sight of the dwindling fire pit she figured Atsila had been away for a bit. Moving through the bushes, she entered the tree surrounded clearing and headed over to the teepee to peek inside.

Sibalto nodded, letting his mare lead the way into the clearing. He was not used to this area of the woods, and rather unsure of meeting this new two-legger... She had to be kind, to watch over Firefly.... But still.. The silver stallion shifted from side to side, mulling over things in his own mind for a few moments before following his dark lady into the open.
The scent of the fire was nearly dead, remains barely smouldering in the pit. The scent of human was fairly strong amongst the scents of hide, so she couldn't have been gone for long...
"Shall we wait for awhile?" He murmured, nuzzling her side and neck as he drew even with her.

Turning her head away from the teepee, her long hair trailed along the ground. "Yes. It seems she's not here at the moment but she usually doesn't spend much time away from her teepee." She eyed the dwindling embers of the fire pit and walked over towards a pile of small logs. Taking a hoof, she kicked one out of the pile and rolled it into the pit with her nose. Blowing softly onto the wood to get it to catch on fire. Small trails of smoke started to rise as the new wood started to burn. Flames licking along it's sides.

Sibalto and busied himself gathering smaller sticks and assorted kindling, dropping it into the pit to encourage the flames. He had little fear of fire- a trait uncommon in his kind- for he had been around it many times throughout his life... And long ago learned what he could and could not do.
A colt might think to snap at the flames until he felt their heat, a stallion knew better... Much better...
"I'm sure she'll return soon." He smiled gently, dropping the last of the sticks into the small fire. The blaze was a sturdy one, and well fed. That task done, he left Firefly to tend it as she would and nosed around the edges of the clearing, snuffling at the small wildflowers, the trees, and brush. He was an inquisitve creature by nature...

The light of the fire cast deep shadows along the dark mare's features. Her eyes sparkled as the light of the flame reflected in them. She could feel the warmth spreading away from the fire and soon the whole area would be warm from the heat.
She watched Sib as he moved about the clearing, giving a soft smile to his curiousness. Picking up a few more twigs, she tossed them into the fire. Lifting her head, her ears perked forward as she heard something coming through the bushes. It was faint, but she could hear the soft foot steps of a two legger, more than likely Atsila. Giving off a small nicker, she stood next to the fire, long tail flicking back and forth as she waited for her to appear.

Sibalto's sensitive muzzle had found its way to a basket, just outside the teepee.. He was gently mouthing the texture with his lips, poking at it because it interested him. The sound of his mate's nicker made him perk, abandoning his new toy in favor of his love. She sounded happy, as though greeting someone, but he faintly wondered if something else was out there in the darkness.
He made his way to Firefly's side, oblivious to how the golden flames painted over his silver and smoke dapples, how the white in his mane and the night black reflected the night sky, darkness and light bound in an endless danced as he arched his neck, eyeing the woods.

Firefly lipped at a piece of his mane as he came near for a moment. Her tail moving back and forth in anticipation as the foot falls came closer.
Out of the dark brush, the tall red headed two legger emerged. Though she almost fell backwards from surprise at the two Soquili standing in her teepee area. But once she recognized the dark mare, she smiled a warm welcoming smile. It seems she had brought a friend. She sat down her basket filled with new kills for skinning in a pile of other baskets nearby and walked up to the mare. Giving her a few pats on the cheek and putting her forehead to her's. "Well, I certainly didn't expect to see you here." Atsila grinned widely before turning her head along with Firefly's so that they were both now looking at Sib. "And just who's this handsome boy you've brought with you hmm?"
She tugged at a bit of her two legger's hair in greating, as well as nickering softly. As her head was turned, she grinned lightly at her mate. "She won't be able to understand you like yours understands you, so you really have to just use body language."

Sibalto smiled when Firefly tugged at his forelock, and remained in silenced as two-legger and mare greeted each other... It was not his place to interrupt, and he was glad to see they were happy... At Firefly's words he flicked his ears back and forth, trying to figure out a way to communicate....
Sighing, he tucked one knee under him and slid down in a low bow, rumbling as clearly as he could: "Oh-Si-o...."
As clear a hello as he could make it.

Atsila blinked as it seemed the stallion was trying to speak in her native language. Letting go on Firefly's head, she eyed him skeptically for a moment. Eyebrow raised as she placed a hand on her hip. "What kind of witch craft is this?" Her head whipped around as she looked about the clearing. The two legger had heard of some communication between the Soquili and humans but never speech! "OK! Who's out there! Quit throwing your voice and come out!"
The mare rolled her eyes slightly at Atsila as she started yelling out into the darkness. "Just body language, love. I commend you for trying to communicate in their language with her, but I think it's spooked her a bit and made her thing someone else is around." Her ears twitched as she tugged at a loose piece of the two leggers shirt to bring her attention back to them.

"O!" He snorted.
Sibalto straigtened and stamped his foot, his expression that of an adamant and sulky colt. He had spoken! Tashika was teaching him, as the Shaman Foalen and his mare Ayita had taught her. He wasn't very good yet, but... Oh well.. He had tried...
The proud stallion wilted for a moment, deciding it was best not to try and say anymore... Straightening again, he nosed her and snorted softly, giving wide grey eyes. Innocent...

After not getting a response, Atsila turned around as it seemed the two wanter her attention. "Huh. Perhaps it was just a noise that you gave that sounded like it." Though she was still perplexed. She could of sworn...oh. "So big boy, where did you come from hm?" Her eyes trailed over his interesting looking bridal. She had never seen such a thing before, except for in the pale face's colonies. "Firefly, you tease, have you been sneaking into the pale faces lands and stealing away their stallions? Silly girl. You know they might try and capture you if they catch you." Waggling a finger at the mare like a mother scolding a child, she laughed and shook her head before giving them both a gentle rub on the nose.
Sighing lightly, the mare was relieved that that had been blown over. Nickering, she lipped at Atsila's fingers lightly as her nose was rubbed. "It's ok. Just try and remember. Not all two leggers can understand Soquili or have knowledge that some have learned the two leggers speak. Atsila isn't very social with the tribe so she doesn't know all that much besides what she's learned from the past and what she's taught herself."

Sibalto eyed his mate. "Shouldn't we get Tashika to teach her more? Shouldn't you try to talk to her? Wouldn't it make things easier if you could speak to her? I can't very well tell her my name using body language.."
He sighed and nosed the two-legger, grateful for the noserub. It was just easier -and more enjoyable- to talk to one's two-legger... Sure he hadn't spoken to Taria -for he hadn't known he could until he came here- but they had understood each other better than one would expect... She had saved his life and ever treated him with kindness, it had given them a deeper bond than ever he expected to have with a twolegger....
He snorted. It was frustrating to be returned to the dumb animal he had been in the Old World.. In this New World he had made a new life, new friends... It was hard to make friends if you couldn't speak...
