And, indeed...one did notice. Quite quickly, actually. Vermilion irises revealed, keeping still. He took a deep breath, and slowly began to rise, stepping before Kiyoshi to keep him out of danger. "...May I help you?" He mumbled, not too happy about being woken. Wrinkling his nose, he narrowed his eyes...crossing his arms over his chest while eyeing the other's knife..and all around visage.
Who was this guy? He didn't look familiar. Gang or something, looking to mug them? Not like they had much. Sniffing, he tucked his hands into the pockets of his trenchcoat...damn, no weapons, no nothing...

Kiyoshi let out a soft noise of protest at the lost of his warmth, and stirred slightly, though not completely waking, this was much better then where he had been staying, and the other's presence allowed him to sleep better...
"Samael... Master, what's going on?" He rubbed his eyes and murmered sleepily, sitting up, blinking and not yet noticing the cats in the cave, "I was warm... come back..."

The cat waved his hand in a mild extension of greeting and acknowledgement to the two vampires before bowing his head briefly as a reserved smile crept slowly, almost kindly over his lips. "I thought first to remind you of the reason for your impending demise," he said in rich, low tamber, words bespeaking hubris but voice entirely humble in tone. "Am I to presume I have your attention yet?"
The knife remained at his side in the other hand, held back but not quite threatening, simply there - as if in ritual.

...He glanced down to Kiyoshi, "Leave." he mumbled to his companion, before stepping forward a bit, towards the other, and canted his head curiously. "Demise, huh..?" He questioned, and frowned a bit, biting the inside of his cheek. Lovely, they were a bit too far from the town to take haven there...and somehow he doubted the knife was the only weapon of choice from this guy.
"Cut the bullshit," he scowled, "What the ******** do you want?" Cocky little thing, this cat was. Well, not really little, he was shorter than him, obviously--though was came as no surprise. Snorting, Samael's tail lashed about behind him.

"What... why?" He asked, standing up and coming up behind the other, only to see what looked like a... well... cat assasin. "Who the heck are you?" Kiyoshi asked softly, leaning back a bit in suprise.
"And no, I won't loose you again, I'm not leaving," He said softly, standing his ground behind him, "What do you want with us... Cat thing?" He questioned, trying to sound braver then he actually felt.

"Bullshit would imply superfluousness in that either of the message, the method in which it is delivered or both," the cat advised with the same urbane, kindly smile, "As every syllable I spend on you is spent in the name of furthering the common good, let me assure that I wouldn't dare wax superfluous."
He breathed out then, an exhalation that carried a tone of sing-songy amusement, though it was comparatively reserved, "And I want, unicorn-thing," he said, almost teasing, "For you to acknowledge yourselves before I destroy you. It is almost useless to do so otherwise."

...staring at the cat, he cracked a smirk, and shook his head a bit. amusing, this one was...He snarled, though, at Kiyoshi.."You never listen," he hissed, and moved forward once more, waving the other to stay back, staying far enough away that he couldn't get slashed at--if that was a normal knife, at least.
"..Destroy? no.." He retorted sharply, and sighed...what was going on..? "Samael.." He finally said, though, and glanced back at Kiyoshi, giving him a warning. There might be another somewhere...maybe Kiyoshi could get up a tree or something so he could, at least, be hidden. His eyes focused back onto the one before him, hands still stuffed into his pockets.

"Samael, I won't leave..." He said softly, looking at the other, though he did step backwards, and sent the cat thing a glance, "You won't destroy us..." he hissed, "You won't."
He gave Samael a look, knowing the other wanted him out of the cave, 'I'll wait for you outside' he sent mentally, then slipped past the other making his way to the mouth, 'Call me if you need me.'

All talk, maybe a little bit of fight - but nothing worth acknowledging. Though he refused to indulge in the battle until certain the creatures were self-aware. It was the principle of the matter, the principle above all other things. What use to make a sacrifice if there is to be no significance behind it? What more powerful dissolution of the unnatural than the unnatural knowing itself for such? He couldn't neglect propriety.
"Perhaps not," he murmured, though with no suggestion in his tone that he believed so for even the barest of moments. "But such is not the crux of the matter. Tell me... Samael," he addressed the remaining vampire, "What are you, in your entirety?" The way he allowed for the other to leave... surely there was something suspicious in that?
Goddamn deranged idiot. The kitten snarled silently, baring teeth without sound from his place in hiding near the edge of the cave. Oh yeah, real clever - he couldn't hear what was going on --because there wasn't a scuffle from what he could tell--but one of the vampires was walking out which meant the hunter had screwed up. Not that he hadn't seen this coming or anything but agh was it even remotely possible for people to be a little less stupid every once in a while?
Professionally, without further gripe or hesitation, Darcy Rue withdrew a gun from within his coat and fired at the emerging unicorn, aiming for the known kill spots on--you know, a living creature--he wasn't sure how much good it would do, but he figured a shot to the head probably did something to most things that walked and talked.

His ear flicked, and he heard the noise of a gun being...loaded? Maybe. he turned a bit, seeing Kiyoshi wandering out--damnit, there was another? He moved away from the cat before him, ignoring him..which probably wasn't a good idea...and snatched up the other male. Luckily, the gunshot had merely knicked his arm, shoving Kiyoshi to the wall of the cave--closer to the inside. He hauled up a decently sized rock--and hucked it in the direction of the gunshot...despite his now aching arm. Glaring towards the cat in the cave, he snapped at him, "Vampire. What's it to you?" Now he was just angry, pressing back to the unicorn that was probably thrown off by all of this, proteacting him with his own ********>

Superior senses? Figured. No way he could've sensed that coming--unless it'd been a bloody trap--Darcy Rue ducked out of sight and line of fire a split second before the rock came hurtling his way, though he scoffed in silent disbelief at recognizing the projectile. A rock? But no, he wasn't going to come out --he'd underestimated the target once already and even if the consequence had (thus far) proven to be negligible he wasn't going to risk it again.
Sensitive lips drew into a deep frown, darkened by genuine anger at the gunshot - the kitten wasn't supposed to act, certainly not in such an unprofessional manner. Though perhaps it was professional from Darcy's point of view... considering the kitten's objective was to take down the target, pure and simple. Whereas the larger cat...
"To me it is almost nothing," the cat responded calmly, emerging from the cave to stand just as casually, knife still hanging loosely in one hand, "To you, and more importantly in perspective, it is far, far more. What does it mean to be a vampire, Samael?"

Glaring in the direction of the kitten, whom he could smell, but not see--he glared towards the other cat, then, and stepped from Kiyoshi...whom he had forced safely to the wall, it'd be easier to dodge s**t if he was shot at, at least...
Ah, well, now to wonder how to keep Kiyoshi safe, as well as himself.
"...Why do you give a ********?" He growled, touching the wound on his arm, frowning at the slight flow of blood, now. Well, lovely--this is what he got for not being a real vampire, he guessed, a bit more pain than usual, and the fear of getting killed. Or did the 'true' vampires feel the same way?
Glancing towards the larger cat, he didn't dare turn his back on the outside...listening, viewing, smelling--anything he could do to keep him and his companion safe. "What do you want? Why're you shooting at us?" He snarled lowly, and wrinkled his nose.

"My intention is not to shoot you," the cat shook his head admonishingly, frown softening slightly as if he were advising a small child. Patronizing. "My intention is to come to an understanding such that your death will not be entirely in vain..."
........'the hell was the lummox doing? Reasoning with the creatures? Weren't vampires... you know... evil? You couldn't reason with evil. It just didn't work that way. He should know from experience. Silently as possible, Darcy drew another pistol from within his coat, grimacing when the safety clicked once. Ten minutes, he'd give it ten minutes for the idiot to get to work - then he wouldn't care who got caught in the crossfire.

He scowled, "Death? Why have you come to kill me?" He replied, and glanced towards Kiyoshi, "He's not a vampire, let him go." He grumbled lowly, and glanced in the direction of the click, then back to the large feline before. He stepped forward, then ceased...worried that he may be shot at for moving. "What do you want? We've done nothing to be hunted for." Except for himself, but he wasn't about to say anything like that....

The cat's head bowed slightly as a rueful smile quirked at those lips, a brief shake of his head accentuating what might've been a sigh but was probably just another breath. "There, that's the right path..." he murmured - despite not speaking at normal volume nor being particularly articulate, still astoundingly easy to hear, "It is not your actions, but your very nature that warrant our pursuit." The smile turned almost kindly then, as the cat raised his head to look straight to Samael, absolutely ignoring the protestations of Kiyoshi's innocence. "We do not all have the right to live."
