I have to ask, what's the challenge rating on an encounter like this? Were certainly not overly exceptional characters and yet were facing twelve dire rats (granted we've already killed 2 or 3 of them)

Each Rat is 1/3rd of a CR, its a pretty viable challenge. They really can't do horrible damage, most they can do is sicken

Hey, hon. Is this still open for players?

Yes dear, it is still open, go ahead and create a character using something like www.sylnae.net so I have an online reference of it and you can join in, that'll be the 8th and final person for now.

yeah, there's also like...7 (about to be cool of us and challange rating is based on a 4 person party, so it will theoretically be even easier.

CR is based on a 4 person party? I never knew that o0 guess I still have some things to learn. Oh and there's 14 rats, the 12 that charged and the two that're now joining in the battle that ate the slave's faces.

so basically there's ten left. Well with decent luck that shouldn't be much of a problem. Unfortunatly I find the online dice systems seem to be more errectice than actual dice. And we haven't had the BEST luck so far, so. Thankfully I can basically kill one of the vermin on a roll of 2 or more on damage.

Lol, I believe the party could kill these things at least 1 per person in either 1-2 hits lol

BitTorrent, got them all off there

Aside the dragon compendium #1, I'm borrowing that off a buddy

Should I just put that into a search engine, or do you have a web adress.

www.bittorrent.com
www.torrentspy.com
www.bitcomet.com

theres a bunch of em, I'm using BitComet now, it allows taking individual files out of big files. Just do a search for DnD Books in it, or just DnD

What should I open it on?
PostPosted: Thu Aug 31, 2006 7:58 pm

most of the files I downloaded came in .rar extension, so WINrar helps, and the books were in PDF so Adobe Reader is needed

And...it's not working. *sigh* do you by any chance know of ome site where you can just view the books instead of having to download them.
PostPosted: Thu Aug 31, 2006 8:32 pm

nope. Not sure if such a site exists. Bittorrent is the only way I know of. It is technically pirating, so Wizards wouldn't be happy about a site allowing you to view the books for free.

Seems...crappy. Ah well, anyway I think I should give warning in advance, probebly not going to be here over the weekend so...yeah. I'll try to check on daily, but I can't be sure of anything. I'll be here tomorrow, but...yeah. So anyway just to give some warning in advance. Assuming this encounter end's tomorrw, just assume in any other encounters I protect the dwarf's flank, or possibly say I was put into solitary confinement for a couple of days becasue I stabes a guard in the leg. If during that time You guys make your escape, assume I come along bringing up the rear. DJ has limited premission to roleplay my character if it is at all necessary (treated as an NPC), but remember I'm a survivalist so I'm not likely to do anything that will get myself killed. Like I said I'll still be here tomorrow so any questions you think of you can ask me then, but after that...yeah.
